Muslim extremist Michael Adebolajo, who is one of the murderers of Fusilier Lee Rigby is now regarded as the most dangerous prisoner in the British penal system.

The 31-year-old man has been described by prison officer as “violent, unpredictable and a major danger to other prisoners”. But the real threat he poses is his ability to radicalise other inmates, prison sources have revealed.

Dozens of prisoners have said to have fallen for Adebolajo’s twisted version of Islam and have vowed to become Jihadis when they are eventually freed.

Even non-Muslim prisoners are said to have converted to Islam and sworn an allegiance to Islamic State after being radicalised by the killer.

According to Mirror Online, one prison official said: “Adebolajo spends most of his waking hours preaching his distorted form of Islam to anyone who will listen. He sees every inmate as a potential Islamic State soldier whether they are Muslims or not.

He has a big personality and is very charismatic and some of the more vulnerable prisoners will fall under his spell. He is a very dangerous individual.”

The source said that Adebolajo now sees his role in life to recruit as many Jihadis as possible for the remainder of his life. It is understood that Adebolajo has been given “special category” status because of the danger he represents.

The source added: “If he is suspected of trying to radicalise other inmates we step in and move him. But even in prison, Adebolajo cannot be watched all the time. We don’t have the staff or the resources.”

Adebolajo and accomplice Michael Adebowale murdered defenceless Fusilier Lee Rigby, 25, near Woolwich Barracks, South East London in 2013.

Both men received life prison sentences.

Manchester City player, Kelechi Iheanacho, paid a visit to award-winning Nigerian artiste, Peter of Psquare and family in their Lagos home yesterday.

The 20-year-old joins African legend and former Barcelona forward Samuel Eto’o in the list of elite players to have visited the R&B artiste and family in their Lagos mansion.

The Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris has ordered his forensic investigator squad to Xray the various bank accounts of criminal mastermind Evans with a view to learning where the majority of his multi-billion Naira loot has either been stashed or squandered.

Sources with information on the investigation told The Herald that Evans and his wife had initially tried to deflect attention from their billion naira loot in other financial institutions by mentioning GTBank.

Our source said, ” That is where the real story is in the other banks like Fidelity bank and Diamond bank, but Evans and his wife mentioned GTBank and for all we know that bank may be the one where they have the least resources. He had been trying to distract us from knowing where the real money is being kept. Can you imagine we later discovered he has several accounts in those banks under different company names.

“The man is very wise and knows how to think ten steps ahead. Police are aware of 3 other banks where he has accounts. Warrants have already been obtained to begin a probe into these assets stashed in these banks.”

Liverpool have completed the 39m euro (£34m) signing of Roma’s former Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian, 25, has signed a five-year deal and has been a prime target for manager Jurgen Klopp who has extensive plans to challenge on all fronts in the new season.

At current exchange rates, the fee is short of the club record £35m paid for Andy Carroll in 2011 but matches the sum they spent in 2016 to make Sadio Mane the most expensive African player, BBC Sports reports.

Mr Bamiro Babajide, a Medical Laboratory Scientist, on Thursday said that male infertility was a major factor responsible for childlessness among couples.

Bamiro is the Head of Reproductive Hormone and Fertility Regulation Unit, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, College of Medicine, University of Lagos.

He told the News Agency of Lagos (NAN) in Lagos that “Primarily, infertility is due to inability of a couple to achieve pregnancy after one year of unprotected intercourse.

“Infertility is defined as a disease of the reproductive system that impairs the body’s ability to perform the basic function of reproduction.







“Conception normally is achieved within one year between 80 per cent and 85 per cent of couples who use no contraceptive measures during sexual intercourse.

“Wives who are unable to conceive after this time should, therefore, be regarded as possibly being infertile and should be evaluated.



“Approximately 15 per cent of couples attempting their first pregnancy meet with failure and fall into this category,” he said.

According to him, when a couple’s inability to procreate is due to the male factor, the man is then believed to be suffering from male infertility.





“Most cases of infertility in our society are blamed on the woman but male infertility is for real, it accounts for 40 per cent of infertility cases and a critical factor in childlessness.

“Available data over the past 20 years revealed that in approximately 30 per cent of such cases, pathology is found in the man alone, and in another 20 per cent both the man and woman are abnormal.

“Therefore, the male factor is partly responsible in between 40 per cent and 50 per cent cases of infertility among couples,” Bamiro said.

He identified chronic consumption of alcohol, use of anabolic steroid , excessive stress and overly intense exercise as causes of infertility and testicular shrinkage.





“Excessive stress and overly intense exercise produce high levels of adrenal steroid hormones which cause a testosterone deficiency resulting in infertility.

“Inadequate Vitamin C and Zinc in the diet, malnutrition and anemia can also lead to infertility in men.

“Also obesity causes leptin insensitivity in the hypothalamus, which in turn, alters the release of gonadotropin,’’ he said.

The expert also said that there were other chromosomal or genetic causes of male infertility that could not be detected without proper clinical testing and diagnosis.

He said that men who are suffering from infertility should subject themselves to seminal fluid analysis in a medical laboratory and be counseled on its management and treatment.

According to him, the most suitable technique for an individual in this category will be determined by a reproductive expert after proper evaluation.

Bamiro urges the public, most especially couples who are unable to procreate after one year of unprotected intercourse, to seek medical attention for proper care.

“Do not wait until it is too late because infertility declines with age, in both male and female,” he said. (NAN)

An Ikeja High Court on Thursday remanded an American citizen, Marco Ramirez, at Kirikiri Maximum Prison for allegedly defrauding three Nigerians in a 565,000 dollars green card and investment scam.

Ramirez was remanded following his not guilty plea to a 16-count charge of obtaining money under false presences.

He was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The EFCC prosecutor, Mrs V. O. Aigboje, alleged that the accused, managing director of three companies – USA Now Plc., Eagleford Instalodge Group and USA Now Capital Group – committed the offences between February 2013 and August 2013.







Aigboje said Ramirez fraudulently received 545,000 dollars from Amb. Godson Echejue to invest in his company, Eagleford Instalodge Group, in order to procure an American green card (residence permit) for him (Echejue).

He also allegedly received 10,000 dollars from one Mr Abubakar Umar through a non-existent investment programme in the U.S., which would make Umar eligible to obtain an American passport.



Furthermore, EFCC accused Ramirez of illegally receiving 10,000 dollars from one Mr Olukayode Sodimu under the pretext that the funds were facilitation fees with the American Immigration Services for an American green card.

After Ramirez took his plea, Aigboje requested that he be taken from the custody of EFCC to prison custody.





“There are no bed spaces available in the commission. I apply that the defendant be remanded in prison custody,” she said.

Mr Chukwudi Maduka, the defence counsel, in his submission, requested that Ramirez be kept in the custody of EFCC and not in the custody of the Nigerian Prison Service.

“Ever since my client has been in the custody of the EFCC, we are just seeing this charge for the very first time today.

“He is already on EFCC bail in Abuja and his International passport has been forfeited as part of his bail conditions.





“We will like to file an application for his bail today.

“We pray that the defendant be remanded in the custody of the EFCC pending the time my Lord hears the bail application,” he said.

Justice Josephine Oyefeso, however, rejected Maduka’s request and ordered that Ramirez be remanded in prison.

“The proper place for remand is prison custody and I so order.

“The case is, hereby, adjourned to July 3 for hearing of the defendant’s bail application,” she said. (NAN)

A popular South African actress, Celia Kriel has reportedly been shot by unknown gunmen.

The actress who appeared in Afrikaans soapie 7de Laan was shot in the early hours of Wednesday 21 June, 2017.

She was reported to have been shot at her home in Randburg and has been rushed to the hospital as she plunged into a critical medical condition following the attack.

Buzz SA reports that the actress although in a critical condition has been certified stable by medical personnel.

Netcare 911 paramedic revealed that they responded to a distress call in the Randburg area, north of Johannesburg, for a shooting incident at 00h07 on Wednesday morning.

Netcare added: “Reports from the scene indicate that several gunmen had entered the premises of a popular actress, shots were fired and she sustained two serious gunshot wounds.”

The paramedic however refused to give more information about the details of the smallholding as the police have since commenced investigations.



“Exact details of the incident and preceding events will, however, remain a subject for police comment. The Netcare 911 Advanced Life Support paramedics and team arrived at the scene and found the actress to be in a serious but stable condition.”

The actress was according to paramedics treated at the scene after sustaining the gunshot wounds and transported to a specialized hospital. She has been placed under the constant care of an Advanced Life Support paramedic.

Speaking on the incident, the Police spokesperson, Colonel Lungelo Dlamini, confirmed the incident to TshisaLIVE adding that officers from Erasmia police station were called to the scene just after midnight.

“Police were called to the house where we were told that a woman had been attacked by armed robbers. We cannot confirm how many suspects there were,” Lungelo said.

The United States Police, Miami-Dade branch has released more information regarding the arrest of Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane and an accomplice in Miami, USA some weeks ago.

Recall that Dammy Krane and his accomplice who claims to be a show promoter, Chukwuebuka, were reported to have been arrested in connection with credit card fraud, grand theft and impersonation.

Dammy Krane was reported to have been arrested trying to book for a private hire Jet with TapJets using stolen credit cards.

The Miami-Dade Police in the recent release has however revealed that Dammy Krane was found with seven false credit cards in his wallet.

A consortium of banks led by Access Bank Plc and other Nigerian and foreign banks have reportedly taken over the affairs of Etisalat Nigeria over its unpaid N541.8billion debt.

According to report, the management of Etisalat Nigeria has since shifted hands effective June 15 after the management failed to repay its $1.72 billion debt.

The takeover came after efforts made by Emerging Markets Telecommunications Services, EMTS, an outfit promoted bya one time Chairman of United Bank for Africa, UBA, Hakeem Bello-Osagie, failed to make the debt go away.

EMTS Holding BV, established in the Netherlands, has however been given a grace period which will lapse on June 23 to complete the transfer of 100 percent of the company’s shares in Etisalat to the United Capital Trustees Limited, the legal representative of the consortium of banks.



The takeover of Etisalat Nigeria was announced by the parent company, Etisalat Group, on Tuesday in a document forwarded to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirate.

The document filed under the reference number, Ho/GCFO/152/87, and dated June 20, 2017 was signed by the Etisalat Group Chief Financial Officer, Serkan Okandan.

The filing stated that efforts made by EMTS to restructure the repayment of the syndicated loan collapsed hence the transfer of ownership.

The document reads: “Further to our announcement dated 12 February, 2017, Emirates Telecommunications Group Company PJSC, “Etisalat Group” would like to inform you that Emerging Markets Telecommunications Services Limited “EMTS” (“the company), established in Nigeria and an associate of Etisalat Group with effective ownership of 45% and 25% ordinary and preference shares respectively, defaulted on a facility agreement with a syndicate of Nigerian banks (“EMTS Lenders”).



“Subsequently, discussions between EMTS and the EMTS Lenders did not produce an agreement on a debt restructuring plan.

“Accordingly, the Company received a default and security Enforcement Notice on 9 June 2017 requesting EMTS Holding BV (EMTS BV) established in the Netherlands, and through which Etisalat Group holds its interest in the company) requiring EMTS BV to transfer 100% of its shares in the company to the United Capital Trustees Limited (the Security Trustee”) of the EMTS Lenders by 15 June 2017.

“Subsequently the EMTS Lenders extended the deadline for the share transfer to 5.00 pm Lagos time on 23 June 2017.”

Following the arrest of Nigerian billionaire kidnap kingpin and criminal mastermind, Chukwudubem Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, the arrested suspect has revealed how he contracted colon cancer.

Recall that the kidnap kingpin’s family had begged for his life, pleading that Nigerians and the Nigerian government should have mercy on him as he was under some kind of spell to have carried out all the kidnappings.

Evans who revealed that he was a drug trafficker who frequented South Africa but switched into the bullion van heist and then kidnapping after one of his clients failed to pay and shot him revealed that his drug trafficking business cost him his health.

While taking policemen to his other hideouts in Lagos yesterday, Evans revealed that he contacted Colon Cancer while he was trafficking drugs.



Speaking at one of the Igando dens, Evans noted that he used to swallow wraps of cocaine and one of it burst in his stomach leading to the colon cancer.

The family man who was reported to have wired the sum of N20 million to his wife in Ghana four days before his arrest revealed that he is a good family man and usually leads his family in prayer because he knew he was a bad person who had done so many terrible things.

He added: “My father cannot say that I didn’t take care of him and my other siblings.

“I took good care of my father even when he didn’t take care of me. My father lived a very wayward life as a person.



“He stopped paying my school fees which made drop out of school. He went on to marry a second wife. As if that wasn’t enough, my father took a third wife and he married her as a 70-year-old man.

“I was not happy with my father, that was why I don’t go close to him but I made sure I provided all his needs. I bought him a car and a bus. They are in our compound and I also gave him N3 million which he used for his pig and fish farming business.”

At his other den in Ejigbo, Evans broke down saying: “I know I have done terrible things but I want to be forgiven. I also want to advise other criminals to turn a new leaf.

“The Nigeria Police is not what it used to be. They are far more advanced than they were. If they could arrest me, there is no criminal they can’t arrest.”

A 36-year-old man, Ahmed Musa, has accused one Abdulkareem Hasimu, the new husband of his former wife, Fatima, of enticing her to leave his house.

Musa, a resident of Turaki Street, Jos told a Jos Upper Area Court sitting in Kasuma Nama, that Fatima was still legally married to him when she contracted her marriage to Hasimu.

Musa, who filed a direct complaint to the court on June 7, also accused Fatima of adultery and polyandry.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the duo are standing trial for enticement, adultery, criminal intimidation, causing grievous hurt and theft.







The offences, according to Mr S. A. Abba, counsel to the complainant, contravene sections 389, 387, 396, 240 and 287 of the penal code.

“Musa married Fatima in 2014, but she left him in 2016 `without any quarrel’, and married Hasimu.



“When he (Musa) went to Hasimu’s house to challenge him to leave his wife, Hasimu beat him up and stole his mobile phone worth N100,000,” he told the court.

The accused persons, who pleaded not guilty, drew the court’s attention to its own records indicating that the marriage between Musa and Fatima was dissolved in Dec. 15, 2015.





Musa, however, rejected the said record and insisted that he was still legally married to Fatima when she married Hasimu in 2016.

The duo prayed the court for bail, citing section 36 (1) of the 1999 constitution which stated that an accused person was presumed innocent until otherwise proven.

The judge, Mr Yahaya Mohammed, after listening to the plea, admitted the accused persons to bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety each, who must be either their marriage guardian or Imam.

Mohammed, thereafter, adjourned the matter to July 20, for hearing. (NAN)

A new study published in the Journal Archives of Sexual Behavior and reported by the Washington Post found that people are having less sex overall than they were in the 1990s.

The study, which used data from the giant General Social Survey, found that on the whole American adults in the early 2010s had sex nine fewer times per year than they did in the 1990s.

When you spread that over 12 months, that’s not exactly a heinous dry spell, thank goodness. Still, more sex is usually better than less.

The decrease was seen across gender, race, region, education, and employment status. One reason for the drop? There are now more people without partners, who typically tend to have half the sex that those with partners do. But even married people (and those living with partners) aren’t doing it as much.



There used to be what was called the “marriage advantage,” meaning that those who were partnered up had more sex because they had a ready and willing partner at hand. But that has sadly disappeared. In 1990, married people had sex around 73 times per year, according to reports. By 2014, that was down to 55.

Comparatively, that number for unpartnered people stayed level—about 59 times per year. Even with Match and OKCupid and Tinder, singles aren’t really hooking up more than when you had to meet people the old-fashioned way.

So why are the married among us failing to get busy with each other? The study suggests it may be because they’re too busy doing other things, like sending work emails or playing games on their phone. After all, how many nights have you sat in bed combing through your feeds, oblivious to the person next to you?

We’re also less happy overall, are more depressed, and are taking more antidepressants as a result. All of these things aren’t exactly known for putting people in the mood. We do know, based on the data, that the decline isn’t due to people working longer hours or consuming more porn.



Of course, just because this is happening on average doesn’t mean it has to happen to you. You can put the phone down and look at your partner again. And if you’re single, you can pick up the phone and try to find a match who makes you want to do more than just look at your phone.

Margarine

A former Minister of Aviation in the country and opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode has implied that the President, Muhammadu Buhari might be dead.

This comes following reports that the wife of the president and first lady, Aisha Buhari was denied access to her husband during her visit to him in the UK where he is receiving treatment.

Femi Fani-Kayode in the snippets of his latest article sent to news agency, DAILY POST questioned the presidency on the whereabouts of the president adding that he is sensing a cover up.

Femi Fani-Kayode further dared the presidency to release images of the president to put Nigerians’ mind at rest.



He said: “The Presidency has told us that Buhari has travelled out of the country yet no-one has seen pictures or footage of him going out of Nigeria or arriving in his preferred destination in a foreign land.

“When the issue of no meter no payment first came up late 2014, we believed that the scheme was going to cut across the consumers.

“The ultimatum which was to last till October 2016 is now taking another dimension, limiting its coverage to industrial areas only.



“However, it will be of a great benefit if this olive branch could be extended to all electricity consumers,” he said.

Mr Alex Ibekwe, a resident of Ketu, said that DISCOs were feeding fat on estimated billing of residential consumers.





Ibekwe said that he applied for prepaid meter in 2013, expressed concern that till date, he had not been metered, in spite the fact that he paid for the meter.
He further said that he travelled out of his house for six months, adding that in those months, nobody was using the electricity supply in his two-bed roomed flat.
Ibekwe noted the development came up though he informed the appropriate authority of his absence.

“I was surprised to see a bill of N110,000 for the supply of the electricity that I did not use in six months.

“When I complained to my nearest IE office, I was told that our area marketer of IE had been sacked; so, I have to pay the bill.

“But if I have a prepaid meter, I don’t have to tell anybody; I will just switch off my supply.

“DISCOs are reaping where they did not sow and that is why they have refused to meter us,” he said.

Mrs Chinyere Okolie, a resident of Iyana-Ipaja, said that some of the monthly bills brought by DISCOs were ridiculous.

“I parked out of my former apartment because of estimated billing palaver.

“I was paying N15,000 monthly when Ikeja Electric was bringing estimated bill of N25,000 monthly, how can I survive that,” she said.

Okolie appealed to NERC to compel DISCOs to meter all residential areas within a stipulated time, adding that estimated billing was like robbing ‘Peter to pay Paul.’

Mr Atilade Bolarinwa, Vice-Chairman, Unistar Hi-Tech Systems Ltd., Lagos, a local meter manufacturing company, however, said that holistic programme should be collectively drawn up by the NERC and DISCOs on metering.
Bolarinwa said that commanding distribution companies by NERC would only aggravate the situations.

According to him, all stakeholders should meet and set smart standards with sanctions that will be enforceable.

He said that DISCOs were not the only cog in the wheel of progress of metering.

NAN reports that NERC on June 11, reminded electricity consumers not provided with prepaid meters to stop paying electric bills presented by DISCOs, on the basis of estimated billing methodology.

The commission ordered the DISCOs not to disconnect any such customer that refuses to pay the bills and advised electricity customers to report to the commission, if disconnected.

Richard Williams, the 75 year old father of tennis champs Serena and Venus Williams’, has filed for divorce from his much younger wife in West Palm Beach, Florida.

In his petition, the 75-year-old tennis coach often credited with training his daughter into tennis superstars, believes his 38-year-old wife of seven years, Lakeisha Williams, is an alcoholic.

He also claims she is stealing his social security checks and transferred ownership of their cars and a house to herself by forging his signature.

Daily Mail reports exclusively that Williams, who married Lakeisha in 2010, also claims she moved out last year and left their now 5-year-old son, Dylan, in his exclusive care. Lakeisha is barely older than his two two daughters – Serena is 35 and Venus will turn 37 on Saturday.



Richard Williams also alleges she left him for ‘a new person’ who has ‘serious criminal, felony charges pending who could impose a danger to the minor child,’ the document reads.

When reached on her cellphone, Lakeisha said she couldn’t talk and hung up.

A former British lawmaker and controversial character, Eric Joyce, who had in the past claimed the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari is dead has charged Nigerians to demand the whereabouts of the president.

Eric Joyce in his recent remark on the state of affairs in the country noted that the continued silence of President Muhammadu Buhari is a big concern.

This comes on the heels of reports within the presidency which noted that the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration has been hijacked by cabals led by Abba Kyari.

Recall that the report further noted that the president has been denied access to everyone close to him including his aides and his wife, Aisha Buhari who recently journeyed to UK to see her husband.



Eric Stuart Joyce in a statement shared on his website charged Nigerians to ask the right question in demanding the status of the president.

Joyce, insisting that the president is dead challenged the Nigerian presidency to prove him otherwise before Nigerians.

He wrote: “Nigeria has an extremely capable acting president, of course, but if Mr Buhari is declared dead or permanently incapacitated then it will be the second time in succession that a Northern Muslim president has died and been replaced by his Southern Christian deputy.

This is a challenge in a country whose democracy is based upon a complex balance of different regional and religious interests.



However, it is a challenge Nigeria is most certainly up to given the great success which was the peaceful handing over of power after the last election.

And so, a top tip for Nigerians. Insist that, like most democracies, it is a strict requirement of being president that your people know exactly what your physical condition is at all times.

This practice is not historically confined to democracies, of course. Kings of old were routinely watched in their bedchambers; Queens were watched as they gave birth to heirs. This was all to ensure that things were as they seemed.

Requiring a president to show he is capable of running his country, and is definitely not dead, is a simple and practical extension of this.”

A Canadian man of Ghanaian origin has been arrested by authorities for allegedly selling packaged rice as Apple iPhones to two unsuspecting persons.

The man identified as Andrew Boateng Gyimah was arrested in Toronto, Canada after defrauding two clients by selling to them packaged rice.

He was arrested after the defrauded persons lodged complaints with the police authorities.

Canadian authorities noted that Andrew met up with one of his victims at Islington Avenue area after the victim had seen an advert he posted online.



He was reported to have given the victim a box which was supposed to contain an Apple iPhone 6 but instead contained grains of rice.

The complaint filed with the police comes after a previous report was made by a victim who had fallen for the scam.

Andrew will be faced with two counts of fraud under $5,000, two counts of false pretence under $5,000, and two counts of breaching a court order.

The Sokoto State Government has reportedly dished out the sum of N91 million in order to facilitate prayers for the President, Muhammadu Buhari who is currently in the United Kingdom on account of his health.

The state government through the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Alhaji Mani Katami, revealed on Tuesday that it would be sponsoring 90 Islamic clerics to Mecca, Saudi Arabia with N91 million.

Katami while addressing clerics tracelling to the Holy Land to perform lesser Hajj further revealed each of the benefitting clerics was entitled to a Basic Travelling Allowance, BTA, estimated at N250,000.

He further urged the clerics travelling for the lesser Hajj to pray for the quick recovery of the president as he said the move by the state government is aimed at enabling the president “come back to Nigeria to continue with the good work he is doing for the country.”

Piers Morgan considers American liberals to be overly sensitive to the issues pertaining to President Trump. Taking into account the Kathy Griffin debacle, he slammed the more recent attempt of liberals to wish the POTUS dead by the showing of an American adaptation of the Julius Caesar play at the New York’s non-profit Public Theater.

He writes; “The wild, foot-stomping, shrieking hysteria that greets the President’s every utterance and movement is beyond anything I have ever witnessed in global politics.”

While he claims to be liberal, he acknowledges the characteristic attributes of the US President to be one that can drive any sane person over the edge.

“Don’t get me wrong; much of the adverse reaction to his presidency is perfectly understandable and acceptable.”

“Trump is an inflammatory, deliberately provocative character that likes nothing better than winding up what he calls the sneering elites into a slathering lather of blind rage.”

“I have no issue with people complaining or protesting about him, or in journalists holding his factual feet to the fire.”

“Indeed I often give him a whack myself if I don’t agree with him.”

He, however, points out that while criticism is alright, one should know where and when to draw the line and that call for the assassination of Trump should in no way be the type of talk that should be let out into the open.

“But where I do have an issue is when that criticism crosses the line into open calls for him to be assassinated.

“But ever since Trump won, it has grown a lot uglier and a lot more serious.”

“As his daughter Ivanka said today, the viciousness and ferocity of the hatred directed towards him is unprecedented.”

He then starts by pointing out incidents in which people may have intentionally made reference to killing Trump or destroying the white house.

Yes, you absurd bleating hypocritical halfwit, that is what happens when you glory in the murder of your president – a lot of your fellow Americans get very angry about it.

And in a country with over 300 million guns and widespread mental illness, that anger can quickly lead to a very nasty conclusion.

No sooner had the Griffin furore calmed down than a similar new one has erupted.

This time, it involves New York’s non-profit Public Theater and its new production of Shakespeare’s ‘Julius Caesar’ in Central Park.

The play portrays Caesar as a tempestuous, petulant blond-haired businessman in an expensive business suit with an American pin flag and over-long ties who takes baths in a gold bathtub.

His wife Calpurnia has an Eastern European accent and wears designer clothes.

So, it’s Donald Trump.

It ends with Caesar/Trump being brutally murdered by Roman senators who fear he has become too power hungry.

Only in this case, the assassins are all women and minorities, two groups that Trump has been accused of marginalising.

There is zero doubt the play’s producers want us to believe it’s Trump.

The New York Daily News said the production ‘imagines the Roman ruler as a blond, swaggering egotist who’s a dead ringer for the current occupant of the Oval Office. And he gets murdered for his hubris and hunger for power.’

Even the New York Times review last week stated that it ‘takes onstage Trump-trolling to a startling new level.’

But as Trump’s son Donald Jr. asked: ‘I wonder how much of this ‘art’ is funded by the taxpayers? When does ‘art’ become political speech?’

Sponsors, led by Delta Airlines and Bank of America, have answered that question for themselves and pulled their financial support.

‘No matter what your political stance may be, the graphic staging of Julius Caesar does not reflect Delta’s values,’ the airline said in a statement. ‘Their artistic and creative direction crossed the line on the standards of good taste.’

Bank of America said the production ‘was intended to provoke and offend.’

In that regard, it has achieved its goal.

One audience member, Laura Sheaffer, said: ‘It was shocking and distasteful. If this had happened to any other president – even as recently as Barack Obama or George Bush – it would not have flown. People would have been horrified. I mean, it was the on-stage murder of the president of the United States. Blood was spewing everywhere out of his body.’

And that, surely, is the nub of all this.

Liberal Trump-haters seemingly have no limit and no filter when it comes to expressing their loathing of the man, even if it extends to his violent death.

The defense from the director, Oskar Eustis, was straight from Kathy Griffin’s ridiculous excuse manual: ‘Anyone seeing our production will realize it in no way advocates violence towards anyone.’

Er no, Mr Eustis, as you well know, it does the complete opposite.

It depicts the horrific murder of President Trump, stabbed to death by frenzied opponents.

And it is an utter disgrace.

Love or hate Trump, no American should ever be amused by the notion of their president being murdered, or having his severed head paraded in the name of comedy.

‘This is vile and wrong,’ tweeted Chelsea Clinton in a very rare show of solidarity with Trump after Kathy Griffin’s stunt. ‘It is never funny to joke about killing a president.’

There speaks someone who had to live for eight years as a young girl in the White House with the constant terrifying fear that someone might try to murder her father.

Just as they have tried to murder other presidents a total of 20 times, four times successfully.

The way for liberals to beat Donald Trump is not by wishing him dead.

It is by using everything in the American democratic system to defeat him by fair means not foul.

That means at the ballot box, in the 2018 mid-term elections and the 2020 general election.

And it means by putting constant pressure on lawmakers to enforce every check and balance in their power to keep Trump’s more Caesar-esque aspirations at bay.

Just as they have been doing on things like his travel ban.

This week, we will see the full force of US democracy in action when Attorney General Jeff Sessions is grilled at a US Senate hearing about the firing of FBI Director James Comey and alleged Russian collusion in fixing the last election.

It if transpires during any these hearings that there was a collusion between Trump or his campaign associates and Putin’s hackers, then the president will be politically dead. It if doesn’t, then unlike Caesar, he will survive to continue his tenure.

That is how US democracy works, not through a knife or gun.

Internet retailer Amazon has begun hiring staff to become an online car dealer in Europe, German trade weekly Automobilwoche reported on Saturday.

The German periodical cites industry specialist Christoph Moeller as saying he has been put in charge of Amazon’s European business with car makers, CNBC reports.

Moeller, a former automotive expert at advisory firm Oliver Wyman, is reported to lead Amazon’s first ever exploration into the automotive market.

The e-commerce giant plans to run the business out of Luxembourg and is looking at Britain as a possible pilot market in its first step into automobile sales.

Automobilwoche further cited Moeller as saying Amazon has been hiring car sales executives.

Amazon declined Automobilwoche’s request to comment.

A Katsina Senator, Kanti Bello has said he has regrets over the way the Buhari administration has handled things in the last two years.

The former Senate Majority Whip, who represented Katsina North Senatorial District on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before joining the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), in an interview with The Tribune spoke about his fears and the chances of the party in the forthcoming 2019 elections.

He added that while he was still a member of the party, he was disappointed in the way the party ran the economy, stating that the economy was worse off than it was, two years ago.

“I thought that a government, when it comes to Buhari, will be able to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians.”

“I know that there are some difficulties; I know that the price of oil has gone down. I know all that but the human expectations, of the ordinary people, the way the government works, I can say 90 per cent of Nigerians are disappointed.”

“And the simple reason is this; when we voted for this government, we believed, it was not only corruption that we wanted it to stop. We also felt that ordinary people should have enough to eat; they should have work to do.”

“We expected some of our factories, especially up North here, would be revitalised. But look at what is happening. I can tell you, no nation with 120 million people can live and be a great nation when it has to import the food it will eat and it has to import clothing.”

He further emphasized a practical comparison between the obvious economic differences in the country between the Jonathan and the Buhari administration and added that while the government did a lot to fight corruption, it had failed in other aspects.



He, however, noted a little improvement while Buhari was away on medical leave with Ag. President Osinbajo at the helms of affairs.

“Look at our economy, it has been so bad; the exchange rate, they say it has been improving. Improving? From N160 to a dollar, now it is N368 to a dollar. Is that an improvement?

“Two years ago, it was N160 to the dollar. Is that something to be proud of? It reached almost N500. We thank the acting president, because each time he comes in, there seems to be some improvements in the way things are done. We don’t know why it is happening that way. Maybe it is his luck, but there are some little improvements.”

Making use of his home state, he used the economic hardship that his people were experiencing as a case in point to highlight the failings of the Buhari administration.

“……in Katsina, where I come from, people are finding it difficult to eat three times a day, not even two times. Things are difficult. The economy is so bad, whatever you are buying, and inflation has tripled.”

“A bag of maize that used to sell at N4,000 when Buhari took over is now selling at N16,000 and at that price, people aren’t getting it to buy.”

“So, all we are saying is that Buhari and his APC government hasn’t solved our problems. I am part of that government and I apologise to the masses that our economic policy is a failure.”

“We have scored 50 per cent on security but certainly the economic policy of the government has failed the masses, because I am part of the masses. People aren’t living well in this country. That’s the truth.”

He also questioned the recovery and retrieval of monies collected from corrupt officials, adding that the money should be pumped into the economy to improve it. But that instead, no one knows where the money goes.

He also added that at this rate there is not much that will be achievable by the administration and APC will lose the 2019 elections with the way things are turning out.

Will Bill Cosby take the witness stand?

The answer to that question could come as soon as Monday morning, when the comedian’s lawyers begin presenting his defence at his sexual assault trial in Pennsylvania.

Cosby told a radio interviewer weeks before the trial that he did not plan to testify in his defence.

But his spokesman, Andrew Wyatt, told reporters on Friday that “nothing is off the table.”





Cosby, 79, faces charges that he drugged and sexually assaulted Andrea Constand, a former employee at his alma mater, Temple University, at his Philadelphia-area home in 2004.

Dozens of women have made similar accusations against Cosby stretching back to the 1960s, although only Constand has accused him of a crime that allegedly took place recently enough to allow for prosecution.



Constand and another accuser, Kelly Johnson, told jurors last week in sometimes emotional testimony that Cosby gave them pills he said would help them `relax’.

“Both women said the medicine left them incapacitated, allowing him to assault them sexually.





Cosby is not charged with abusing Johnson but prosecutors called her to the stand in an effort to persuade the jury that he employed a familiar pattern when he allegedly assaulted Constand.

Prosecutors have said that Cosby in both cases took advantage of a young woman seeking career advice and used drugs to facilitate sex abuse.

Defence lawyers have sought to undermine the credibility of the women, pointing to discrepancies in their accounts, such as their shifting estimates of when the events in question occurred.

Cosby’s lawyers have pointed to dozens of phone calls that Constand made to Cosby after the incident as well as prior instances in which they had private encounters at his home.

They have also focused on phone records showing Constand called several civil lawyers at the same time she first reported the alleged assault to police in 2005, and argued Constand manufactured the story to go after Cosby’s fortune.

A decision to allow Cosby to testify could signal the defence feels it did not do enough damage to Constand’s story during the prosecution’s case.

Putting the entertainer on the stand carries its own risks.

A man from Singapore, 34, has broken the world record of having slept with the most women in 24 hours after he slept with a total of 57 women in the time period.

The man broke the record which stood at 55 by topping it with an extra two women to set the new world record in Prague, Czech Republic’s capital.

The latest world record came as part of an annual event run by a local brothel in which the unnamed man was reported to have achieved the feat.

A local Czech media reported that the new world record holder had been training hard for months before the event.



The man was reported to have said: “I’ve always been a bit of a sex addict, and when I learned that the brothel was having a world record attempt I knew I had to come and give it a go.”

“I take it really seriously and train for it just like an athlete would prepare for a marathon. In some ways, it’s actually much harder than a lot of professional sports.”

The attempt at shattering the previous world record started at midnight local time with officials on deck to record the man’s performance.

“For the world record to count, every woman I slept with had to be different, so the venue had to hire a number of girls from other brothels.”



Reports indicated that as at midday, the new world record holder had slept with 29 women placing him ahead of the world-record pace.

He told journalists: “I started to get a bit of a cramp around then but luckily we had a physiotherapist on hand to give me a massage which helped out.”

The challenger was however, as part of the competition’s rules, not allowed to take any performance enhancing drugs or prescription medicine to enhance their erection.

The Singaporean man passed who passed the drug test added: “Natural remedies are permitted, but I won’t disclose what supplements I take.”

The competition also had other rules including an ejaculate of about 5ml of semen for each individual to count.

One of the officials on deck said: “It’s not the most sought-after job, but we find it rewarding in our own way.”

A Nigerian man, Daniel Entony Daberechukwu, has been arraigned in court for allegedly raping a 19-year-old Miss United States International University Africa (USIU), Nneka Enyantu Obi.

The court heard that around 1.30am, the complainant and Daniel left for the hostel.

It is then that Daniel allegedly offered to escort Nneka to her room since she was too drunk.

Police allege that he started kissing her along the corridors. It is reported that instead of taking her to the room, he took her to his room.

She woke up to find herself on his bed, while Daniel was on the floor. It wasn’t until she reached her room that she realised her panty was missing and her privates were in pain.

Daniel pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on Sh500,000 bond while being ordered to deposit his passport in court.

The matter comes for hearing on June 9th, 2017.

A Nigerian man set to wed his fiancee has set the internet rolling with his pre-wedding photo which has since its release gone viral.

The Nigerian man, an officer of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, was in his pre-wedding photoshoot clad in his uniform and seen lifting his woman with one hand.

American singer, Sean Kingston who was months ago involved in a feud with rapper, The Game has revealed that he is in a financial mess and has less than $500 to his name.

The singer who is unable to pay for his legal counsels filed a suit before the court stating that he is in a dire financial situation and has no properties.

Recall that the singer was in 2015 sued by a lawyer, James J. Gangitano who accused Kingston of refusing to pay up the $12,500 he racked up in legal bills while he defended him in court.

Following the suit, the lawyer reached a deal with Kingston in early 2016 in which the singer agreed to pay $20,000 in installments between April 2016 and January 2017.

He has however returned to court after the singer failed to make payments which constituted a breach of contract.

The deal which was earlier signed by both parties held that if Kingston missed a payment, the entire amount of $14,500 would be due immediately.

In the suit by his legal counsel, Gangitano is demanding that the judge order Kingston to pay up due to his breach.

Kingston who had earlier failed to provide his financial details and standing before the court was slammed with contempt and ordered to make the documents ready, a move which exposed the singer’s financial status.

According to the details contained in the document signed by the singer, Kingston explained that he currently owns no property or automobile and has moved back in with his mother, Janice Turner in Los Angeles.

He further attached details of his last three bank account statements which corroborated his story and revealed his February/March bank statement from his Bank of America account to contain $18.96 at the end of the month and $6.96 at month’s end.

His other bank accounts, Chase bank started with $370.68 and $207.63 but ended with a deficit of $19.65 and $7.22 at the month’s end.

Students of the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, on Thursday, embarked on a protest against the decision of the institution’s authorities to increase tuition fees.

Gates leading to the school were locked, preventing staff and students from entering the premises.

Students who had reasons to be on the premises at the time the protest broke out were seen scaling the gates to make their way in.

The protest kicked off at about 8 a.m., with students defying the heavy morning rain.

According to SaharaReporters, about 100 students massed at the main gate, as activities were paralyzed for about seven hours. Suspended student’ union leaders of the institution told SaharaReporters the school management held an emergency meeting with students in a bid to quench their anger.

A student leader, Akinola Abiodun, said the students were displeased that the Rector, Mrs. Margaret Kudi Ladipo, was absent at the meeting, as they had planned to speak to her directly Also absent were the five other principal officers of the institution.

“We had a preliminary meeting with the school management. The six principal officers of the college were not available. We only had the Deputy Rector (Administration) in attendance. We were, however, assured that the school management will be better represented tomorrow by 3pm. As it is, we are suspending all our activities till the meeting holds,” Akinola told SaharaReporters.

A student disclosed that they are not ready to accept anything short of a reversal from N23,000 to the N19,200 it was.

“In a recessed economy where the Federal Government is reluctant to pay above N18,000 as minimum wage, it is wrong to increase school fees. One of our school hostels got burnt last year. Despite the increment in fees, which began last year, the renovation of the hostel has not commenced. There are rumors that the school administration intends to make students of that particular hostel pay for the damage done,” said the student.

An official of the suspended Students’ Union Government, Ganiyu Abdulkareem, said the demands of the students are the immediate reversal of tuition fees to N19, 200 and N52, 750 for full-time and part-time students respectively, an end to victimization of students and reinstatement of suspended student leaders as well as the students’ union.
