The answer is NO
Many countries including Ghana have Tribes and towns on our borders. In some instances, half of the settlers on the borders live in Ghana and the other half are in our neighboring countries but at the end of the day those in Ghana identify themselves as Ghanaians whereas those living on the other half also identify themselves as Togolese, Burkinabe or Ivorian depending on which side they live.

Out of the 6 countries sharing common borders with Cameroon it's only one country (Nigeria) that is a West African Country so why do you think Cameroon shares a lot in common with West Africa than Central Africa?

Anyway, in the records of AU Cameroon is a Central African country so let's not argue on this.. Even Camerooneans know they are Central Africans not West Africans

I know enough to know francophone cameroun have more in common with central africa than Nigeria. Of course the southern part is closer to Igbos. I have seen the same here in Europe. English speaking cameroonians are closer to Nigeria. Francophone are closer to Congolese.

Your argument is more about the tribes living on the borders of Nigeria-Cameroon but you forgot that there are other tribes living on the other side of the borders that share a lot of things in common with Cameroon too.

Chad
Congo Republic
Equatirial Guinea
Gabon
Central African Republic

Nigeria is the only West African country so how can they share a lot of things in common with West Africa?
