You don't get this in SA chats and much of Africa - it's a Nigerian phenomenon.

When you're in those developed countries you are limited to your little so called "African villages" or "Little Lagoses" where the locals don't have to interact with u much unless you're professionals (who are often sensible).

Because SA is an African country we often have to share the same communities like Hillbrow, Berea and Yeoville
who's buildings Nigerians have hijacked and turned into slums (it's a FACT, read up on it). And also because of the closer proximity SA attracts low value migrants unlike developed countries. So u end up getting to all sorts of mischief due to high unemployment levels - even the Kenyans and much of Southern Africa complain about Nigerians (you just don't respect your hosts if the policing is not effective enough), it's just that South Africans are especially vocal about it.

Yeah, most black South Africans who've been there have nothing good to say about your country except maybe your entrepreneurial spirit and the exchange rate. But I hear just landing at the airport in Lagos is hell - poor service and devastating heat. And it only gets worse from then on.

Seriously we tried accomodating u in SA back in the 90s coz of your hardships but your brothers have mastered the art of insulting their hosts so let's just keep our relationship at short-term tourism and long distance investments - no residence.

A few days ago I was arguing with one troll that u guys should offer citizenship to Caucasians since you're such big white *ss lickers. They'll sort out your problems the way u credit them for everything positive in SA. Mozambique and Rwanda have already poached SA farmers so it's possible. We're willing to share - there a millions of them in SA and sometimes we don't like them much.

Let's use INEC voter registration numbers for the most part they use biometric voter register. Since 2011 northern states have had higher number of registered voters. If we say that one was manipulated they how come northern states also generally have higher number of voters?

So these things are neither here or there but personally I think manipulating numbers is a waste of time because history has shown it doesn't add any benefit to your state.

I was also shocked to see this Xiaomei woman wasn't even SA born but naturalized - bad move by the ANC. My guess is they were trying to appease China being part of BRICS and major investor, but I'm glad to see our security services have their eye on her.

Voter apathy is an issue but still doesn't account for why the numbers are so low. In 2015 when people were so excited to vote the figures were shockingly low compared to 2011.

As per states tweaking their numbers to attract more federal allocation it still doesn't really add anything to the states. Some of us have suspected that the northern states especially inflate their figures but that hasn't benefited all this time because they are still relatively poorer than the southern states.

If you ask I would put our true population at around 180-190 don't think we have cracked 200m yet.

Although the final results were not made public, the preliminary results were quite clear as to what had happened: the north’s population had gone up from 16.5 million in the last census in 1952 to 22.5 million, an increase of 30%. But in some parts of the east, the population had increased by up to 200% and more than 70% in general. The west also reported an increase of 70%.
