Western delta university is a very small university located in Oghara community in Delta state. The university doesn't even have up to 10,000 students. I'm using this medium to call on all well meaning Nigerians, The Federal Government and NUC to come and do some investigation on this University. A lot of rubbish is currently taking place in that University ranging from bribery, extortion, sexual harassment and fraud.

The school is in the habit of telling students who have already graduated that they have carryovers whenever they come for their transcript. These same students had their results approved by the senate, were mobilised for Nysc, given statement of result and given call up letters too. A student is even about to sue the university as we speak. The students are crying out to the general public and the NUC to come to their rescue. A student was demoted from 400L to 200L cos the department he has been was not accredited.

Nairaland, the mods and Seun should please put this issue on front page so the world can see what's going on.

Correct me if am wrong however vital information reaching me from a reliable source argue that the present leadership in Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State of Nigeria is now calling up most pass out graduates of the institution who are now ambassadors of same citadel of learning in the secular world to come back and deal with their respective and individual spill over courses who in this case have their individual results approved by the brains of the institution Senate board councils, in the same vein they were equally mobilized for Nysc, thirdly, virtually every pass out graduates have been issue statement of result and among others. To shorten a long story in view of the above now in a space of two years interval most approved pass out graduates of the same high institution who recently went to the institution administrative site to secured their transcript were blatantly restricted from their legitimate valuable item on the ground that most of the pass out students presently in the Labour market according to the institution are claim to have left over courses to see to. Having said all this, the big question that runs through my mind at this point is why didn't the institution discovered this silly error before issuing out and approve final year students results and at the same time issue out statement of result to pass out graduates. Sincerely speaking, I don't want to sound ridiculous on this matter but personally for peace to reign I will vehemently advice the institution in their wisdom to please try and deal with their lapses because if my opinion is ask in this regard I will say emphatically that such abnormal and unusual subject matter is a capital negligence of duty on part and history of the institution. I don't want to believe the institution most of us pass out and proud of even to this very day was not wise and intelligent enough to meticulously run their academic administration. Great alumni let's join hands and say no to such emotional trauma which the institution we represent is currently fusing in the lives of their ambassadors. We hope the appropriate authority will read this and do something about it because I fear such reposive scenario will escalate beyond the ordinary if it linger . If the former is what he wants and the school after their initial folly is ready to release that to him, I think he should move on with his studies rather than wasting his time and resources on our "come today, come tomorrow" court system.

This is a copy of the letter the school lawyer wrote to the boy in question through his lawyer.

A friend of mine made a 2.2 (2.93) from Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State. He graduated in 2014 and was mobilised for Batch C 2015. He was issued a statement of result, was mobilised for service and was given a call-up letter by the same university. He was posted to Borno and camped in Nasarawa initially but redeployed to Delta state due to Nysc policy on automatic redeployment to Corp members posted to troubled states.

This guy completed his service in 2015 and was given his discharge certificate. He came back to his school to demand for his transcript cos he wanted to further his studies abroad, only for the school to say he had 10 carryovers. They later said it was 7. The school is telling him to come back to rewrite those courses. This was a guy that was cleared by the department, faculty, bursary, exams and records and every other part of the university. Seriously I don't understand this at all cos the guy's parents are planning on taking legal actions against the university. The statement of result was neither forged, issued under duress or obtained criminally. The school is saying that a mistake was made and that the school has a right to withdraw the result. The guy's lawyer issued a litigation paper to school and the school initially refused to sign but later did and were very furious with the person who signed it. They said they should settle it amicably and so members of the admin came and urged his father not to sue the school that they should settle it amicably and that the school doesn't have money for legal issues and that they've not been paid for 5 months.

I've often listen to some confused educated illiterates both here on nairaland and outside nairaland. They say polygamy it's a sin and it's morally wrong. Please how is it morally wrong? Where in the bible was it written that polygamy is wrong? Polygamy as far as I'm concerned is the best thing that ever happened to Africa. Polygamy creates a balance.

Polygamy allows a man to have varieties of women and also the ability to test his sexual potency. Only real men can marry more than one wife.
