• HBO Max is a US only thing (at the moment), ergo the international performance is a bigger key as to whether it will do well at cinemas.

• Disney are not skint - they are not afraid to throw money at projects, unlike WB. Apples to oranges.

HBOmax despite being in the US only (now also in Latin America) is making more than than D+ world wide. They also have more customers in the US than D+ despite D+ extremely cheap subscription price.

And did you say Disney are not afraid? The same Disney that waits for WB to take the bold step before following.
