Hello @ Kuze1,

I guess u ain't going to a college because am not sure they support any college in Canada.

Kuze1:

I just went to the Mpower Financing website and answered a few questions. I submitted my bvn and a credit check was done through Nova Credit in Nigeria. I got an email saying I was eligible and received a conditional offer. I was then asked to submit some details including my bank statement up to a certain amount which was dependent on the loan request. It’s pretty straightforward, let me know if you need further help.

Having lost my husband a while back and with the current state of the country as we all know, I made the decision to migrate to Canada with my two children through the Canadian study route. After conducting various researches and upon some consultations, I began to feel like this was an impossible feat as I came across various takes from individuals claiming how nearly impossible getting an approval would be for me. This was exacerbated by the fact that the program I was applying for was totally different from my educational background (You see, I had applied for a Global Hospitality Management program with a previous degree in Accounting). According to various people, this further slimmed my chances of having my visa approved.

Then came @Frankrobbn1. I came across Mr, Frank (CEO of fandrglobal.com) in my search for a reliable, competent and result-proven agent who could handle my peculiar case and put together a befitting profile for me. I had read several reviews about the quality of his services and how he had already helped many a person move to Canada but the unique thing is that none of these reviews even did true justice to Mr. Frank's efficiency.

Once I placed him on retainer, he assured me that I was in the best hands. However, this was my first trial and because of the peculiarity of my case, I was quite frantic. I called incessantly trying to know how far he had gone and how he was progressing with my application. Surprisingly, for a man with a busy schedule, Mr. Frank never lost his cool over my calls. He continuously reassured me that he was exerting his full expertise into putting together the best profile for me. Even after he had submitted and I would still call for updates, Mr. Frank still calmed me down by insisting in the quality of his competence which had already as he would say 'been tested and trusted'. Truly, I have confirmed the truth of the quality of @Frankrobbn1 's services because behold my visa has just been APPROVED for both myself and MY TWO CHILDREN!! Truly what seemed impossible has now materialized.

I pray that the almighty God will bless @Frankrobbn1 for me. The good Lord that used you to work a testimony for me will continue to elevate you. There are not enough words to express the amount of joy coursing through my body right now. My children and I will be making the move to CANADA!. Our migration success story would have never been written without Mr. Frank.

My fellow Nairalanders and aspiring migrants who are seeing this testimony and wish to make the move to Canada, my honest advice to you is to consult @Frankrobbn1 for his expert services on packaging the best visa package for you. I can assure you that whatever amount spent on procuring such services will not be remembered when you are staring your approval in the face. I wish you all the best and I hope to see everyone here in Canada someday. Thank you and God bless.

Weeldone @ Taiyejenny,

This is a very valid point, let's hope at the gurus or anyone who has benefitted will come and give us what their experience is like soon as regards this area of concern.

I think somebody got his study visa through Mpower loan of recent here but can recollect the name exactly.

We shall rejoice at last..

Taiyejenny:

Mpower has few schools they support in Canada, go to their site n check if your school is among the school they support,if it’s among them you’re eligible for Mpower loan,
Their repayment is 10yrs
It takes like a week bfr approving the loan…. The loan will be disbursed to your school account few weeks bfr resumption … you can use the loan approval letter to apply for study visa; but I’m yet to meet who they gave visa with Mpower loan

My school is eligible but I’m scared of taking the loan since repayment is 10yrs … how will I explain to the visa officer that I took a loan and the repayment is 10yrs when I’m still trying to convince them I’ll come back to my country after study….

My own little understanding is this. September, January and May all have their sessions. Without collision. I was meant to resume this January but the breakfast served delayed. So don't be bothered about the starting periods. Just know when you in particular are starting.

Good morning All,

@ everyone expecting their PPR, the Almighty shall make you shout for joy of PPR receipt this week in shaa Allah.

@Makano,Lekibobe,Technix, Anon123,Teemanzo,bobomaigida and everyone sharing useful infos and guides here, may the Almighty continue to bless you and never foresake us all.

I have been following back to back and i must say i am really learning here though i am yet to start my application to schools as am yet to get transcript from my school. However, the question i want to ask is about the colleges intake;

I believe Sept. is like the beginning of a new session, So what happens to Jan and May intake?

Do they start their programmes afresh like Sept intakes too or they are merged together with them?

Can I mention my tradetest certificate/catering training i obtained in my LOE when applying for my study permit visa, will it postively count or it is not necessary?

so inspiring....

congratulations sir

Time2soar1:
Hallelujah! God has done it.
Got PPR today after almost 10 months

Timeline

First application refused January 29th 2021

Second application submitted May 22nd 2021
Eligibility started May 31st 2021
Ghost update June 3rd 2020
Medical expires August 2021
New medical updated to pass September 2021
Correspondence letter March 3rd 2022
PPR March 3rd 2022
Age over 50 years

First refusal reason was purpose of study and personal assets and finance. In my reapplication, for purpose of study I used sub categories in my statement of purpose such as introduction, why the program, why the school and a specific section on the purpose and benefit of the study. Though I stated all this in the first application I emphasis it more in the second application.

For personal asset and finance, I submitted bank statement and mutual fund investment letter like the first application but this time I liquidated part of my mutual fund investment into my bank account to make sure the money in my bank account is more than the total money I budget for the study for myself and my family then I sent MBS of the bank account and then a new investment letter with the outstanding fund in my mutual fund investment.
I also attached valuation report of my land.

Most importantly I prayed to God for the approval. I give God all the glory because after the first refusal I almost gave up because I though age is against me. More so, I have two Masters degree already and I am going for another Master program but I committed it into God hand and He came through for me.

While waiting I requested GCMS twice but nothing was in them, eligibility shows "review required"

I hope this encourage someone.

Can't be grateful enough for the time you took for this lengthy response @ ItsFolake..

Thank you so much dearie, it is well appreciated..

We shall all laugh for joy at the end, enjoy the rest of your day ma'am.
ItsFolake:
Hi Themmiee21,

This is the procedure:

1. Google MPOWER Financing.
2. Select the 'Schools we support' link. Here, check if the school you've been admitted to is on the list. They support 25 Universities in Canada only, the rest are US schools.
3. If your school is Present, select "check your eligibility to start"
4. Answer the questions asked accordingly.
5. For the 'Loan amount requested part' - You can qualify for up to Usd 50,000 for a whole academic year i.e 2022/2023. The lifetime amount one can borrow is Usd 100,000 because you can only apply for the loan if you have 2 years in your studies i.e *Undergraduate(the last 2 years of your studies)* and Postgraduate (The entire two years of your course - that is if your PGD/Masters is two years).
6. If you are eligible, you can select 'Continue with the application'. If not, you're allowed to check another school.
7. If you continue with your application, answer all the questions that they will ask you.
8. At this point, if you qualify, you'll get a conditional offer(a letter).
9. Go ahead and upload the documents they have requested so that they can verify your offer and get final loan approval.
10. Once approved and you accept your offer, they will send you a document indicating the terms of your loan.
11. Now, this document is key, you will use it in your Canadian visa application. Upload it under your proof of funds when doing your student permit application. MPOWER Financing terms it as a 'Visa Support Letter'.
12. Wait for feedback from IRCC. If IRCC approves your application, upload your Letter Of Introduction and Approved IMM1294e to your MPOWER Financing dashboard.
13. Once you get to this stage, MPOWER Financing will guide you through the remaining steps of your MPOWER loan application process, until the funds are disbursed to your school.

Kindly note:
This is generally the process taken in your application. Do your due diligence in the whole matter. There are applicants in the previous threads that have had their visa approved with MPOWER Financing, if you wish, you can reach out to them. MPOWER Financing has a great relationship/customer service team, that can answer any pressing or subsequent personal questions that you may have, don't be afraid to reach out to them(if you so wish).

When those who've gotten their PPR are encouraged to submit their timelines and the documents they submitted, please oblige to this 'small request'. It really comes handy for those who wish to follow the same path, especially for those who need to use this student/educational loans.

If anyone else has more information related to this, please feel free to contribute to the conversation.

Cheers.

Thank you Boss, na man u be, ur responses are quite helful.

I had forgotten this is not the Visa application thread the NYSC part was for Visa application.

Appreciate you sir, meanwhile can i get a consent letter sample, no vex say my wahala much oo loll.

IntrovertGuy:

Lol. NYSC is not needed here.

NIN is the very important document. Which name do you have on your NIN?

I think you should declare as married. If you choose divorce, you need to back it up.
If you choose single, the "moral" officers may be asking how you got 2 children, for the fact that you may be needing a consent letter too.

Choose Married and you can tender the marriage certificate if proof is needed.
Travel / Re: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by Themmiee21: 11:01am On Mar 03, 2022
Thank you sis @ Toplap,

We bear the same surname, I want to know if my application as single since my surname didnt change from birth alongside with my kids will not give any although the kids use his first name as their surname.

I appreciate ma'am

Toplap:

Lol, okay this is well noted thank you.

@ Themmiee21, I can't help but I think you should leave your marital status as married since you are not officially divorced, technically it means you are still married.

Indicating you are separated in the application may mean a lot of hoops to jump through and documentation to provide. That's an additional layer of wahala on top of a process that is not so easy or user friendly to begin with and your own is even fresh passport again, not renewal.
Travel / Re: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by Themmiee21: 10:54am On Mar 03, 2022
I really appreciate your prompt response @ IntrovertGuy. I am sorry i forgot to add that we bear the same surname so my name remain the same from birth only for my NYSC cert that has his other name included when the officials during my NYSC then insist i add one of his name if we are married in order for me to get relocation then.

Will my application as single with kids not give any issues pls?

I appreciate your response once again.

IntrovertGuy:

I have no idea.

But firstly, do you want to retain his surname or not?
Is your NIN details in his surname?

If not, it's going to be a very long process for you as you'll have to change your name first (costing you money).

But if you don't mind using his surname, just state that you are married then all process remains the same.

But then, once you get married later, you may want to change your name again. Hence, if you avoid it now, you may need to do it later in the future.
