PoliticsRe: NANS To Amaechi: Your Plan To Polarize Students Union Has Failed by theoctopus1(op): 8:23am On Sep 28, 2013
take dat: When did NANS become a noble organization? Hasn't NANS polarized the students it claim to represent? NANS is always ready to offer her services to the highest bidder? NANS has pitched its tent with the President while the comrade from Benue State or a faction is in the camp of Amaechi.
Your partisan bias is too glaring. You obviously didn't notice how Amaechi has been dragging every organization into his naked dance. From teachers to civil society. Spending Rivers state tax payers money. Now that NANS have rejected his move, you castigate them. Such hypocrisy.
PoliticsRe: Amaechi Proceeds On Leave? SSG May Take Over Power. by theoctopus1: 11:45pm On Sep 27, 2013
One of the likely judgement in the supreme court case might be to call for a reelection. The problem with that is that Amaechi will not be able to get the PDP ticket and he will never win on another platform and he knows it/ He will not even be around to compete as he will be running from the EFCC. There are too many cases to fry him on. The aircraft case alone is enough to ruin him permanently
PoliticsRe: Amaechi Proceeds On Leave? SSG May Take Over Power. by theoctopus1: 11:41pm On Sep 27, 2013
take dat: The question is, why should Amaechi abscond? I am sure you do not know the basis why the suit was filed before the Supreme Court. The link to @eGuerilla's post has confirmed that he is out of the country on official duties.
The link confirms nothing. Just like the information Sylva was passing out. It is just his own men trying to cover up the situation. Like I said, I havent concluded he has absconded, but certain facts are clear...

1. He has gone on vacation and it defintely doesnt make sense for him to do so at a time like this.

2. There is a court ruling coming on the 3rd which could throw him out of government house. We can only wait to see how that goes.

3. Amaechi himself knows the implication if that court ruling kicks him out of the government house. If it doesnt, then he is safe. But if it does, he is in real soup as he will be completely on his own

Kairoseki77: The judicial system in this country is dead.

Whatever judgement they come up with will be manipulated by bribes.
If you follow the case properly, you will understand it doesnt look good for Amaechi. That is why a lot of people in Rivers are surprised about the way he has been conducting himself. He has only been able to stay in power because of the party, not his personal ability. His emergence as gov was based on the victory of the party, not Amaechi. So to try and surbvert the party is a very bad decision. Rivers state is not Lagos state.

1. The people will never join Amaechi to betray GEJ. If you think that will happen, you delude yourself. Even if GEJ is the worst president ever, that will still not happen.

2. All the major political stake holders in Rivers are in PDP and that is not going to change anytime soon.

3. Amaechi has never been a mender of bridges. He has been so arrogant and become enemy of the masses. Forget what any APC propaganda folks try to spin here. The reality on the ground is that Amaechi is fighting with almost everyone. He is only trying to make it look like it is GEJ that he is fighting with, just to gain some sympathy. The truth about the house of assembly story is that, Amaechi would have been impeached by the house. All those stories of 5 against 27 is false rumour peddled by Amaechi. The majority of the house are ready to impeach him. If the house dares resume now, they will impeach him. That is why he used Tambuwal to get the NASS to take over the house functions. If he trusts himself as having full control of the majority of the house, he should have been confident to allow the house resume normal sitting. But he knows what will happen to him if they resume fully

take dat: Na only partisan glasses, you go see partisan binoculars. Kindly name the Governors who proceeded on leave without any information? Chime, we were told handed over to his deputy. Suntai had a fatal accident and there was no way he could hand over, moreover, these two went on medical leave.
Look, I am just pointing to you that your argument is lame. You could put up other arguments, but this route you took is lame. If truly he is absconding, then he will certainly not hand over to any one just like Sylva did 2 days before he got kicked out. He proceeded on leave without telling anyone and kept talking from an unknown destination. I havent concluded that Amaechi has asconded, but I do have confirmation that he has proceeded on vacation and yes, it is very abnormal for him to proceed on any sort of vacation at this time because his house is on fire. It certainly doesnt make any sense. But I will not categorically say he has absconded until we get some confirmation on that.
PoliticsRe: Amaechi Proceeds On Leave? SSG May Take Over Power. by theoctopus1: 10:29pm On Sep 27, 2013
take dat: According to news coming from the beer parlour in your neighborhood. Is the news official? There is no way the governor and his deputy will proceed on leave without officially transmitting power to the next in line, and such information will be made known to the public. The Governor may have traveled out of the country either for personal reasons or to attend an official engagement but the story of 'leave of 3months' is false.
Have you been living on the moon? Where have you been when several other govs proceeded on vacation without any announcement or information? You now truly see everything through partisan glasses. grin
PoliticsNANS To Amaechi: Your Plan To Polarize Students Union Has Failed by theoctopus1(op): 10:10pm On Sep 27, 2013
Embattled Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State has incurred the wrath of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, for allegedly attempting to polarize the students’ body.

NANS also accused Gov. Amaechi of attempting to use some of its national executives as proxies in his rift with President Goodluck Jonathan.

NANS President, Comrade Olayinka Gbadebo, who spoke at a media briefing at the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, alleged that the Rivers State Government had allowed itself to be misled by an expelled executive of the union.

He said, “The attention of NANS leadership had been drawn to unsavory attempts by the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi on his desperate efforts at polarizing the united leadership of our noble organization.

“It is no longer news that the Rivers State Governor, who has been misinformed by agent provocateurs and swindlers has agreed as part of his current political travails to throw our dear organization into chaos”.

According to Gbadebo, Gov. Amaechi’s attempt to drag the leadership of the students’ body to side with him was rebuffed which led to the conclusion that the current crisis is nothing but “a political ego trip that has now degenerated into an incurable one.”

He added that “Having rebuffed several overtures made to the NANS President by Governor Amaechi, he has now found an ally in the expelled Deputy Senate President of NANS, Comr. John Shema of Benue State University, Makurdi to do the hatchet job”.

The student leader also accused the Rivers governor of sponsoring a press conference against President Goodluck Jonathan.

He also questioned why Gov. Amaechi would fund a project tour with the union in the state.

“Comr. John Shima in the month of August issued a sponsored press statement in support of Governor Rotimi Amaechi against President of our dear country, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.

“For correcting the wrong impression already sold to the unsuspecting public, the hawks and clowns around Governor Amaechi have refused to let NANS operate functionally in their desperate bid to extort tax payers’ money.

“If we may ask, what does governor Rotimi Amaechi Need NANS for? Is NANS an extension of Nigeria Governor’s Forum which he led and successfully polarized? Or, the Peoples Democratic Party that he has elected to factionalize”, Gbadebo asked rhetorically.

take dat: Sick of awful garbage journalism. Anyone with half a brain would know that the journalist who wrote this manufactured hogwash is not knowledgeable. If the Governor and Deputy Governor decides to proceed on leave and the state house of assembly isn't sitting, the next in line to take over the administration of the State should be the Chief Judge of the State and not the SSG.

#Beer Parlour things!grin
This is not beer parlour gossip bro. Open your eyes. Maybe the journalist got it wrong on who should take over, but Amaechi has truly proceeded on vacation according to news coming from PH, not just this journalist.
PoliticsDelete Oyinlola’s Name As Secretary, Court Orders PDP, INEC by theoctopus1(op): 9:24pm On Sep 27, 2013
An Abuja Federal High Court on Friday ordered the Peoples Democratic Party and the Independent National Electoral Commission to replace the name of Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola with that of Prof. Adewale Oladipo as the party’s National Secretary.

Justice Abdul Kafarati, who gave the order while ruling on an application filed by the Ogun State chapter of the PDP, ordered that the replacement must be reflected in PDP’s records at INEC within three days.

Oyinlola, PDP and INEC were listed as the defendants in the suit.

The order followed a January 11, 2013 judgment, in which the Abuja FHC sacked Oyinlola as PDP National Secretary.

Justice Kafarati had, in the January 11 judgment, ordered INEC to rectify the records of the PDP by deleting Oyinlola’s name as the party’s National Secretary and replace him with a candidate nominated at a valid congress of the South-West Zone chapter of the party.

shymexx: And when you ask every Nigerian out here where they're from, almost everyone claims Lagos, apart from a few that claim Abuja.

Only Ibadan people and other Yoruba's don't claim Lagos...hence why most people know that majority of Yoruba's out here are from Ibadan. grin
You are a pathetic liar. No Edo or Delta man will claim Lagos. A really big liar. Am even beginning to doubt you are abroad. lol

excell12go: I'm not a citizen of any of the states involved; but going tru what I've heard, read and watched so far, I think the lagos state government will win this case if taken anywhere, even outside d shores of ds country.
The government of the affected states should have sent representatives 2 evacuate their citizens as soon as they got d 1st letter 4rm Lagos state gvt. It's clear they actually did not have the interest of these so called 'desolates' at heart.
These governors have failed their people by not acting promptly on ds issue. They are filling all dez complaints to cover up their asses.
Taking it personal here, I'll humbly say 'Peter Obi is a failure!'. And for those supporting them, please try not 2 b bias in ur judgement.instead og blaming Lagos state gvt, blame d govts of d affected states.
Who actually did the govs fail? The 14 or the 76? hahahahaha

It actually goes to show that Ibos were not the target.

Fashola previous deported people from Kano, Ondo, Ekiti, Ogun, Oyo, etc......

It goes to show that the real tribalists are Ibos.

Ibo governors came out and tribalise the issue.

Peter Obi deported Non-Natives, Gov Orji deported Non-Abians.

Why are Ibo governors hypocrites?

Were Yorubas deported in Flying Bicycles and Walking Limousines?
Funny you think readers will actually take you serious. You are doing more damage than good to your cause, with all your tribal and childish posts and 15 point font. Thank you very much. lol

He is dumb for taking us back to the events of 1963-66. He is even dumber for releasing such a rubbish letter as a response.
