I’m happy for you. Now it’s clearer

Before I was wondering why a random person (RP1) in a faceless forum will ask another person (RP2) in that same faceless forum to prove anything. More so, a proof that is only valid if RP2 sends money to RP1 for RP1 to eat.

It’s clearer now!!!

Health / Coronavirus Hype Biggest Political Hoax In History by ThePropertyGuy: 1:57pm On May 14, 2020
I wholeheartedly share the same thoughts as this writer.

“The new coronavirus is real”.

“The response to the coronavirus is hyped. And in time, this hype will be revealed as politically hoaxed.

In fact, COVID-19 will go down as one of the political world’s biggest, most shamefully overblown, overhyped, overly and irrationally inflated and outright deceptively flawed responses to a health matter in American history, one that was carried largely on the lips of medical professionals who have no business running a national economy or government.”

Ok.

Where I am confused is

- How the Bank’s Executives/Management made errors of judgement or mismanaged the bank finances with corruption?

- What problem(s) did they create that they now want to solve by layoffs?

shadeyinka:

Yes, but don't get me wrong.

There are several conditions for which a staff could be relieved of his duties.
1. Misconduct
2. Inefficiency
3. Lack of appropriate qualifications
4. Looming Bankruptcy of company
5. Economic downturn of the company

Wh at I protest against is when the Executives/Management makes errors of judgement or mismanagement of bank finances with corruption and then turn around to solve the problems they created by laying off dutiful and loyal staff.

To me, this is the FIRST and usual course of actions of Nigerian banks and the government is not protecting the citizens by invoking legislations to such protections.

Businesses, governments, associations, clubs, NGOs and the likes are all a group of living things who have agreed to pursue a collective interest. If this makes it non living then i don't know what doesn't.

I agree with your last paragraph.

Apology accepted. I would also add that no where does the Bible support the notion that it is sinful or even poor witness for a Christian boss to fire a subordinate. My understanding from my faith is:

- It is important to know and respect man's law

- Avoid hasty decisions about firing or retaining employees

- An individual who undermines one’s leadership, who arrogantly scorns others, who perpetually creates conflict, who is
corrupt, or who cannot follow the work rules, must be removed for the common good.

I can speak about facts from financial records, CBN records etc. (which are made public) but I cannot speak about flouting any law (man's, ethical or scriptural) because i don't know how the process was carried out.

shadeyinka:

Empathy to a non-living setup?!!
Na! Na!! Na!!!

Sorry that things got a little personal. I am irritated when I see the weak and helpless treated as expendable commodities. I look at affluence and power as things we have simply because of grace.

There is nothing special with me except for the grace I have received. This grace gave me some good education, good job, good health, connections, wellness and finances. I therefore remind myself that if my parents were that destitute begger under the bridge; I could at best be a hard-working wheelbarrow pusher.

So, my friend, forgive me.

I am at loss why you feel you have the mandate to speak for others (including me) and generalize your conspiracy theories as facts.

Not that it’s anybody’s business but I did experience a job loss in the final months of last year. (Take it easy with your assumptions)

And don’t assume you know what I think should or shouldn’t happen to me.

In the same vain you wished I showed some empathy for the “hardworking and dutiful staff” (like you are so certain they are) is in the same vain I wished you showed some empathy towards the bank’s decisions.

shadeyinka:

It's easy to close ones eyes when fire is on our neighbors roof.

I used to own a poultry and it's strange to see how "fellow chicken" treat a wounded/dying mate. Human beings are unfortunately majorly like that.

If you see me wishing that you experience what the bank's do to faithful, hardworking and dutiful staff as an attack on your passonality; it was a test to see if the same red blood flows within your veins. Obviously, you feel that such shouldn't happen to you: and I agree it shouldn't.

Humanity in us should also will that it doesn't happen to our neighbors, siblings, friends and family!

You aren't my enemy: I only wished you showed a little empathy.

And that is why most banks are Lucifers in form of institution. Maximizing loopholes in extant laws. Banks don't break the laws: they help sponsor the laws which in turn is used for the purpose of making money with no reference to the volume of blood spilt.

It seems you are one of them too.

Business / Re: Access Bank Denies Sacking 75% Of Workforce, Closing Branches by ThePropertyGuy: 8:51am On May 07, 2020
Access Bank has conquered all these and already clinched the tiitles. They are the largest bank by assets, deposits, branches and customer base.

More objectivity and less subjectivity,

Acquisition also involves the responsibility to take optimal decisions to sustain the entity as a going concern in accordance with the laid down laws,

If any business breaks any law by all means they should be prosecuted. But unless this is established every other argument is subjective
shadeyinka:

Acquisition involve taking over physical, personnel, financial liabilities and assets.

The banks are not just machines that operate on their own. They are run by human beings. These human beings are usually callous, inhuman, insensitive and lack the basic traits of goodness that make a human being civil.

My argument is: why must the point of restructuring always be mass retrenchment of loyal and dutiful staff?

Who says the only wise thing to do is to shut down a physical asset (bank buildings) due to physical proximities?

Since they are physical assets, they could be redistributed (sell off one, acquire another in another location).

Who says this is not an opportunity to expand and conquer new Territories?

Of course, trust the Shylocks! They are not interested in clinching the title of the biggest and most widespread bank. They've calculated the value of the physical structures as part of their transient liquidity (short term money). But in future, they are still small.

It's the fault of our government though. Whenever there is no regulation, everywhere is like a jungle and survival of the fittest and not all animals are equal.
Business / Re: Access Bank Denies Sacking 75% Of Workforce, Closing Branches by ThePropertyGuy: 6:25am On May 07, 2020
There is zero case of mismanagement here neither should we expect private individuals and businesses to perform the duty of government.

As some people here have rightly said, due to the acquisition of DBN, in some places there are more than 2/3 Access Bank branches within a 500m radius. This is completely inefficient for a business.

You should take some time to go through the company's financial statements and look at the impact of personnel cost on the business.

I don't see the point in losing the whole while trying to save a part

shadeyinka:

Food was made for man and not the reverse.

It is easy to quote your economic theories and say that " the purpose of business is to do that for which it was created"!

In theory, yes!
But when the management mismanaged the enterprise, in fairness, who should pay for such gross loss!? The drones!?

This is where humanity and the government comes into play. This is where if the government is doing their duty to set rules and regulations to protect the citizenry from excesses of conglomerates. In many same countries such is done in setting limits to pricing of goods and services; so that enough justification for such is confirmed by the government before price increase is authorised.

On this path I speak

Remember that news has it that access bank after donating over a billion naira to the federal government sacked several of their staffs over inability to pay salaries any more as a result of the covid 19 shutdown in the whole country of Nigeria.

Few days ago, another news came out that access bank will soon shutdown and this we believe might have prompted the urge customer going to withdraw their money and savings from the bank before the bank may possibly shutdown.

Business / Re: Access Bank Ignores CBN Directive, Fires Staff In Oyo Branch by ThePropertyGuy: 8:43pm On May 06, 2020
What was the CBN directive and which one did they flout?

Ivimilly:
Despite an agreement by the Central Bank of Nigeria and Bankers Committee to suspend the lay-offs in banks across the country due to the adverse impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Access Bank has continued to dismiss its staff.
A man, whose wife worked for a branch of the bank in Oyo State for eight years and got retrenched, told SaharaReporters that the move was contrary to the decision of the CBN.

He said, "My wife was let go by Access Bank and from all indications, the bank is trying to override CBN's directive to suspend the letting go of staff.

This woman worked very hard, in the rain and sun for eight years. She has been crying uncontrollably and I'm worried because she just put to bed.

"When she went to work yesterday, she was asked to leave the environment and her ID was forcefully collected. She was also not given an exit for to sign."
The bank’s GMD/CEO, Herbert Wigwe, on April 30, told shareholders at the Annual General Meeting that, "Access Bank was well prepared for COVID-19 early enough and created ways of working from home and working with our customers.
We set up links with our customers and devised ways of reaching out to them three or four times a day.

"This happened even before we started working with the larger society and it enabled us to start fighting this pandemic.”

But days later, the bank began to let go of its staff without warning.

Flyingngel:
I don't know why Nigerian elites like lying.
Why don't you say the truth and damn the consequences.
They realise that going forward with the mass sack will affect them badly cos many people will go panic and withdraw their money from the bank so they get in contact with CBN, thereby feeding us wrong information to calm us but still go ahead with the sack but now, it is done in piece meal.
I have nothing to say to them.

shadeyinka:

I wish layoffs will always start with the managers, executives and administrators of each bank. Banks have the lowest job security amongst private businesses as far as I know in Nigeria.

I believe that enough feasibility studies were done before the acquisition took place...and the normal behaviour of the callous executives is to think of layoff.

Who cares about pawns in the banking industry anyway! They are the sacrificial lamb. Loyalty and hardwork doesn't matter to them. They appropriate heavy allowances for themselves until the system is having problem and then as usual, it's the hard working young Nigerians that pay for their recklessness.

When you have your own company tomorrow, come back here to talk then we'll listen to you. This is neither charity nor communism. It's business.

The primary goal of every business is to serve the purpose for which it was created. Any hindrance to achieving this is usually addressed. Ignoring this kills the business and every stakeholder suffers.

You talk about feasibility study carried out at the outset. Seriously?? The feasibility study showed that they needed to lay off staff at some point Duh!!!

Business / Guard Your Heart/mind Jealously!!!! by ThePropertyGuy: 7:21pm On May 06, 2020
Be careful what you allow into your heart/mind

Be mindful who you allow influence your heart/mind

The heart/mind is the engine of your existence because it's through it you perceive the world around you.

Your perception is your reality

Negative news (Fear, Uncertainty & Doubt: FUD) spreads fast and is perhaps the most news that is shared.

Everything you watch, hear or read is simply someone else trying to sell his/her perception of reality to you.

You have a choice to be sold or not.

Why not choose a reality that motivates you, gives you hope and makes you honestly optimistic of the future.

Every situation (and i mean EVERY SITUATION) has a silver lining. Have you allowed someone else's perception of reality wither your ability to see things positively?

Life can be fulfilling or it can be dreadful. It all depends on how you understand and interpret events

silvernus0:

ⓂⓂⓂ IDEOLOGY

Always pre-informed to yourself anyone u r registering that MMM is not a Business. MMM plat form has built in algorithms and is so transparent and intelligent enough to stop dose who take it a business via multiple accounts read more here.

It is a community founded with an ideology . Not interest. Also, its MAVRO and not MONEY in MMM.
MMM ensures its participants are law abiding to the society and country and also expects its member to abide to its principles.

What you must know that the ideology behind mavros invention is not to scam anyone ,but the dream is to create a platform to reconcile the injustice the financial system, were people can plan to be whatever they want to be with a community that is void of race and tribe behind them.

By providing help in MMM , you are taking a risk to better the life of your next neighbor. U risk your hard earned Money to better the life of a fellow participant by donating to help the person without thinking of getting it back. This is the best humanitarian service and your reward should not only be on earth.

If you seek not interest you can Provide Help and seek back only your capital knowing your money is helping someone somewhere, but there should always be a reward for every action.

That's the IDEOLOGY OF MMM the world can be a better and safer place if everyone has the leverage of planning for their tomorrow. Mavro has seen the injustice in the financial system un-advantaged people have dreams but not everyone can achieve without a support.

Take a look at the US election , China was one of the main campaign point of Trump, he talked about how Chinese industry and how it was taking over American market , he also made comparison that it will be rare for you to see an American Chevrolet in cities of Japan or China but in America, Chines goods and Japanese cars flood the place this is because the Chines government make it a duty that every chines must be an entrepreneur , once you are 18 years and you have an idea and you can employ two people , the government will issue you a grant to assist you and support you till you can stand. I don’t think the Chines industry would have come this far if its citizens had no support from anywhere.

For our economy to become like china government may not be able to do everything for us we need a community like MMM, its unfortunate that we live in a society where a larger percentage are un-advantaged we believe in resuming by 7am and getting home by 7pm round the clock and can do this for 20 years without any plan for ourselves, but how can our industry grow when everyone is thinking of rushing to work but no one is thinking of creating one?

“Biola said with a community like MMM, while I work , I can have a leverage to save over some years for that business idea which i have always planned, if I can work for two years with a community like MMM i can save and plan for a business ,and when I start I can employ people , this will reduce unemployment and make the economy more vibrant when more people take up business and employ others” , but a society like ours we work from 7 to 7 for many years What time will we have to think of starting a business when all means of your livelihood depend on you job.”

The Ideology is not to get rich quick , the plan here is to help someone achieve their goals today and tomorrow you get support.

Drawn from the banking system if everyone comes to the bank to withdraw the same day the system will collapse but because every one will not come to bank in one day banks can take from A to pay B. The businesses banks do with your money is to maintain itself and increase its liquidity and share holders capital. Outside this the banks can even pay you more interest than MMM.

MAVROS INVENTION IS WORTH CELEBRATING AND IF THIS SUCCEEDS FURTHER HIS NAME IS WORTH TO BE WRITTEN IN THE HALL OF FAME.

If there is cash flow the system will always be healthy

Key in to this ideology Use your spare money to help others , you have nothing to lose.

Lastly, PATIENCE is very important in all dealings inⓂⓂⓂ. Have it .

Together we can achieve More.

Have a Great Day.

.

I think it's great that you've clearly defined what it means to you, have your own understanding of how it works and what your key indices are as it concerns MMM. This way you know what to look out for to inform your decision making process. (same with every other endeavour)
