Gggjhhj: Ona funny for this country, I pray propaganda you carry don't later backfire on you too, try think about your children, make them no in the future because of your stupidity they look for work like you, complain of prices of items I pray you grow and get rich with your propaganda
Make una dey shutup if una no know the meaning of Propaganda jare ... Did you visit dangote refinery depot and diesel is not selling below 1k or you don go MRS these morning and they sold diesel to you above the price announced
You people will just pick an english word and start mis-used it, everything na Propaganda ..
Kekenary: Responses to this thread are really sad. It goes on to show why Nigeria will never get better. Someone comes up to give suggestions as to how the nation will get better and this is what happens in return. This nation is irredeemable. E go hard for me to pray for Nigeria. It deserves whatever is coming for it.
How does Borehole challenge solve a nations whose minimum wage is 30k and people can't even feed ... we go dey drink water to quench hunger
How will education better a nation whose unemployment rate is over the roof ... to what end.
I think it's time Tinubu and his geng of jesters and clowns got themselves enrolled in Peter Obi's leadership class for a crash course on the final points of governance.
Leadership that has produced zero mentee ... no wonder he is an importer
That post you keep brandishing explained exactly what I had been saying all of this while but your blindness can't even begin to let you see it, can it?
The Reserves began dropping from as far back as March 15th. CNN said on 21st it cleared backlog but turns out what it cleared was about 600 million during that period. However, by April 19th, the Reserves had dipped at least 2..1 Billion in addition to the 600 million that CBN actually paid.
This isn't rocket science and I honestly can't spend my day explaining this over and over to someone whoss mind is already too twisted to see what is right before it abeg!
You must really think you are talking to one gullible fellow
Your arguement was the reserves depleted cos CBN was using it to defend the naira ... which is false, cos the difference btwn the official and the parallel rate doesnt depict "defending". olodo how yu go know
I can see you have added lies to saving face, how did you miss these part
International Monetary Fund/World Bank in Washington DC, CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso said the depleting external reserve is mostly due to factors such as debt repayments, other obligations and also due to the ordinary course of business.
Kobojunkie: Stop with the desperate attempts abeg since your ignorance is glaring as the sun. That attempt of yours to drag the mention of God into this all but sealed the fact that you are just another religious sheeple/ sycophant in this. I would rather spend time engaging anything but that.
You are very poor at saving face, read the post on FP
Angelfrost: Well, between building new schools that will end up being poorly equipped and staffed, and upgrading existing schools to world standard... I earnestly believe the latter makes more sense.
If the state does not need more schools, why waste funds doing such?!!
If the pressing need of the state is upgrade and equipment of existing schools, then building more schools becomes akin to white elephant projects and wasting of scarce resources.
Lets even over look the school arguement, can you mention capital project OBi initiated and completed
Opelope Obiano, Anambra no get airport is that not even a big shame
Kobojunkie: What the heck is this one rambling about now and worse dragging God down in the muck as well? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You are just full of grammar and as empty as an noisy drum, Your ignorance blew right in your face, and the best you could come up with is emojis when you should cover your face in shame ...
Kobojunkie: What the heck? Are you paying attention at all?
The news which you was from over a month — before the recent depletion took place. At that point when the backlogs were announced paid off, the reserves were $34.1 Billion. Compare that to where it is today at almost $31 Billion. As yourself what happened?
Over the period that was March 16th through April 19th, the CBN has equally claimed to have been fighting for the value of the Naira. And as you can see, that fight cost Nigerians at least $2.1 Billion over that period. If you compare that with the rate around that period, you get the picture of what most likely happened.
God is behind the truth sayer, go to NL front page the post best explain what i have been rambling about that you refuse to see
The fact that parallel market sold below the official rate invalidate your speculation cardoso defended the naira, as a matter of fact total intervention to the market stands at $661m minus it from $2.16bn is that what really depleted the reserve
Kobojunkie: You are still rambling cause I don't know why you are jumping all over the place!
As for the backlogs, the CBN announced on March 21st that it had all been cleared. And as at that point, the Reserves were still at $34.1 billion. So what has that to do with this conversation? CBN Settles All FX Backlog, Reserves Hits $34.1BN
Kobojunkie: What in the world are you rambling on about now? What insufficient funds? BDC operators? I am the one who ought to be worried I maybe yapping with a mindless BOT at this point.
It was very convenient for you to save face, by picking on the "insufficient funds" i might well ask you what is "down the toilet"
Since you are so sure CBN was using reserve to strengthen the Naira why not show us figures to back up your assertion Cardoso made two moves, one was to clear backlogs and the other requires handing register BDC operators $10k ? You guyz deliberately ignore the backlogs settlement took much of our reserve, cos that won't generate backlash
Emiefele defended Naira with our reserves and we saw a wide difference btwn official rate and parallel market, but in cardose case parallel market sold below official rate so how is that " defending "
Kobojunkie: Up until April 19th when the Naira began to take a plunge in the other direction, the fighting merely involved pouring down Billions of Dollar reserves down the toilet. After Nigerians discovered what the Government had been doing in the name of fighting to get back the value of the Naira, they took their hands off the reserves, and in less than a week, the Naira has fallen back to where it was around April 5th. That is to show you the maga-maga that was going on. However, you choosing to stay blind to it, is your problem entirely.
2. An entire current of over 220 million people and their only hope in the year 2024, is in one man and his cooperation, Dangote? You no cringe at all when you dey type that thing?
I think it time we Fact check these lame arguement, can you please post the total sum central bank as hand out to parallel market and lets compare with total sum use to clear backlogs .. lets see the % difference Una go just dey argue blindly how BDC operators don collect wey una dey shout insufficient fund Please post it, it as of one is just arguing with BOT
dettolgel: I was right because of all the things you wrote up there, there is no single statement that addressed the issues I raised. Rather you were busy making it personal.
I will humor you and come down to your level maybe we can make a head way.
1. Are you optimistic that Arsenal will do well down the road because you believe that they have the right players and right coach and that after every defeat the coaching team go back to the drawing board to review their error and try to adjust for the next game or you based your loyalty on blind trust?
2. If you invest in a company and year in year out they have been bleeding cash without any strategic move to turn things around will you continue to throw money in it or will only continue to throw money in it if you are certain that the new steps they took will yield profit?
3. If your answer to any of the above is solely based on blind loyalty then I am sorry to tell you, you are the type that can easily be manipulated into wearing suicide vest.
By the way, because you weren't born yesterday does not automatically make you right. You could be old as Bleep and still be as dumb as a rock.
1. Can you follow a team you don't believe in , where does optimism stems from, A true fan follow club not players, not coach ... cos they can leave at anytime. Lemme school ur ass a bit, i follow arsenal cos i saw a PrOspect and everyone acknowledged arsenal play fanastic style of football thats what bought my loyalty ... your question sounds half baked hence the shalaye
2. Investment is a risk terrain, if one lane is not profitable move to the next lane, so many road enter market why
Supporting a club and Investing are not the same, one commands your loyalty why the later requires "acumen" and foresight.
No be obedient go educate me about blind trust abeg
IfnobeGod20: Hope without work is failure. You cannot continue to hope and still be doing the same thing and expect different results. Ka ma ri loluwa orun wi. This your hope had took many to their early grave and I pray with all sincerity that many would not join. Let your hope be laced with work and you will see the wonders that it would birth. No developed country hope, they are find doing the right thing and they get the thing done. This your ideology is what has kept the country on its knees till date. During OBJ we were told to be patient that things will be alright. During Yar'adua it was the same. During GEJ we were pacified to be patient with the government that things would be better. Ah! It was a serious message during Buhari's regime. Just be patient with his government, you know he is baba go slow, he will surely get the economy fixed. Today we are in the same shoe of hoping for better days. Please den swear for his country, that we should be hoping and hoping till the whole country is wiped out? Continue to be hookng and not do the right thing for your children, you will discovered you've bred vagabonds and touts.
If you can open your eye to see,all these epistle is unnecessary who is telling you to hope ? i stand is as Naira is fighting to regain value those thinking it will reflect instantly on prices of goods should exercise patients, bad travel on the speeed of 6G yle good roll on GPRS ...
The difference between the era of past leaders and the present is the revolution of refineries we are witnessing ... dangote refinery and its relieving impact on our import deficit and dollar demand is a valid HOPE
Price of diesel is at how much now, 2 x reduction just within two weeks, if thats not HOPE what do you call it
Iamzik: People try to sabotage or circumvent government policy everywhere this is not peculiar to Nigeria.
The government has the power to identify such actors and prosecute them so ask yourself why the federal government has refused to do so.
Tinubu knows those who were exporting subsidized petroleum to neighboring countries illegally yet he refused to arrest and prosecute them. Instead he remove subsidy without any plan in place and inflict pain on all of us.
Tinubu has intelligence briefing and know those sponsoring kidnapping and banditry. UAE even published their names yet not a single one has been arrested why?
Those who are manipulating currency are not the average citizens buys few dollars from aboki they are politicians and their friends with huge sums of money at their disposal. Why won't the government go after them.
People are naturally indiscipline whether white or black. What makes the difference is law enforcement. Citizens and politicians will behave right if they are sure that there is no escape from the law.
Maybe not only Nigeria are saboteurs buh its only in Nigeria people pride themselves as saboteurs and have go much guts to act against the country interest
When the govt go after these people is it not same Nigerians that will be shouting witch hunt, when govt went after Binance what was people reaction, yaya bello is an Apc member alleged of embezzlement, are some stupid youths not on the street protesting
How will the law work effectively when everything is virtualize from ethnicity or religious angle, every region seems to be protecting there polithiefians
Gossipninja: Schools felt his impact in all aspects.
Desktops, laptops, funds were all given to make things work in the education sector.
Pictures don't lie you know.
Do you know that all these school renovations you are posting as Peter Obi achievement, were delegated to each local government chairman in Lagos under Tinubu & fashola
these are mainly local govt projects, in my local govt back then.. boreholes were drilled in every major streets, little wonder Peter Obi scrambled local govt election
Its funny a whole governor is posting school renovation as an achievement, where obiano built a stadium and airport, shey na wike go dey point school renovation as achievement,
dettolgel: Please can you tell me one country that was built solely on "good-wishes" ?
If there is any country that prayer and good-wishes could build that would have been Nigeria as far as the 90s Catholic church till date still pray for Nigeria after every mass. Other churches have organized prayer nights likewise Mosques.
In fact 31st December in Nigeria is nothing but a prayer night for Nigeria by majority of Nigerians, yet this good-wishes is yet to surpass the "bad-wishes" of the few on NL and twitter space?
Senior man abeg no dey disgrace yourself online.
Is Tinubu trying to revamp the economic on wishes or you saw Cardoso throwin coin into the waters to make wishes ... what prompt that dumb question
One of our major problem in Nigeria is "saboteurs" ... even when govt come up with brillant policies you have some bastards racking there heads on how to counter the policy, exploit it for selfish gains
To you its just a ordinary bad wishes, but they have vested interest. show me one british wishing Uk crumble
cucumbar: 😁 if you are still stupid enough not to have realized that the economy don’t based on your wishes , then your case is pathetic and beyond redemption.
You agbadorians are hopelessly dull.
Tells that nonsense talk to non livings thing, people wishing the country bad , have there mouth where there money is
No sensible human being will pray dollar hit 5000 when he/she has nothing to gain from it.
People wishing the dollar rise do not just stop at wishes, they made moves bought nd hoard dollar which has a repercurssion on the economic ... it takes sense to know
zinaunreal: What he cant achieve in one year he cant do it in 4 years lets not fool ourselves here. Nigerias problem is easy to solve na them no wan solve am . I have educated your lame brain . School wastage. I and my sister have a firstclass(law) . if you know know who you dey follow cap close mouth empty brain
Thats your opinion, its just like saying becos you didnt meet 4.0 GP in year 1 you can't never graduate with 1st class ... shey e make sense
You sure sound like someone with Bsc in Law, how is that your sister she is now popular e remain you
Omoluabi16: Someone online was misyarning pe Nigerians are overreacting, say she needs her safe space, mental health, therapy and all that bullshit. No one is saying crucify her, but she needs to face some consequences in whatever way. These kids and people generally should know you can't get away with everything.
Oga people are over reacting thanks to social media sheningans , cos its something even most parent can relate to, we all at some point went through bullying, in public school then, your seniors will give you punishment for just being seniors ... they will draw car on the board n ask you to push it to a drawn filling station but we didnt Die today we are tough n can withstand amything life throw at us
I fear for these new generation cos asides book they have no true life lessons ...
dettolgel: All I can read in your post is nothing but horse shit.
You could have stayed on topic and explained what the issues are and leave it at that.
Of course your day can't be complete without you making senseless comment. Can you tell us where you got the fact (through sample survey or census) that the "whole tribe want military to take over or Nigeria should fail at all cost.... "?
I really do not understand how you manage to get to the other side of the road safely on daily basis with this your level of reasoning.
I cross the road with my eye opened common sense suppose tell you
Maybe if i was born yesterday i would have believed explaining or shalaying will solve anything when dealing with Obedient/children of hate
I mean what explanation has not being giving to sensitize the PUBLIC, besides why do we have to convince people to think good towards there country,
No matter the number of times arsenal as failed me, i am still hopeful & optimistic arsenal will carry cup every season ... i can't just fathom why a Nigerian living inside Nigeria wil be jubilating and speculating the downfall of his/her country ... is that not madness
dettolgel: To be honest you are either too emotional or you are just a willful tool. What impact does a "wish" has on the economy?
The other group that has been wishing the economic good has their good-wish sustained the economy? If their good-wish can't revive the economy why do you think the bad-wish gang are the ones whose wishes are effective?
Please use your head and look at the root cause of the problem and then examine if government approach is right or not.
Maybe i am a bit emotional but i don't see how that is detrimental to Nigeria or Nigerians
Bad wishes have an impact cos those wishing the country bad have there mouth where there Money is ... thatz what you missed. When you view all the efforts and planning that precedes "Repair" can you compare it to "destructive mission" .. Repair and good finishing takes time and deliberate effort which must be consistent hence why we tell those asking why prices of goods are not going down spontaneously yet to be reasonably Patient as Rome wasnt built in a day
IfnobeGod20: You people should stop this narrative that some people doesn't want the good of the country or want the country to fall. No reasonable person will want the downfall of his country but when those in authority doesn't show sign of good governance and what is on ground does not commensurate with the resources expended while the citizens still wallowing in poverty and you expect such citizen to keep shut just because somebody or a tribe is the president. It doesn't make sense at all. Truth must be lay bare, our leaders are not getting things right and instead of us to put our voices together and spun them to work, we are fighting ourselves and cursing same time. Remember causeless curse shall not stand says the bible. You guys just want to keep everyone to submission at all costs. This is a democracy, everyone has his right to opinion and they are at liberty to express it. Why should people expression of opinion be your infinite headache?
No one as asked anyone not to criticize or respond to the govt inefficiency, but someone wishing to our faces that Nigeria should crumble becos he earn in dollar .... he deserves all curses and beating self
All these nonsense we try here, in so called developed countries you can boldly come out nd wish your country bad under any guise and justify it, naa jungle justice or arrest But here one idiot is feeling fly cos he hoards dollar .. big shame
If you wana criticize, we need it, but those wishing the economic to fall so they can cash out to oppress, naa terminal sickness dem go use the money for
Zeebuy: The only reason it seemed the naira was appreciating was because the government was propping it up with our foreign reserves. Now they've depleted the reserves what do you think will happen?
Obi said the solution to Nigeria's quagmire is to move the country from consumption to production. He even outlined the best ways to utilize each region to their fullest potentials, but some people chose to support a man who said "na statistics we go chop"? and now look where we are, people no dey even see the statistics to chop 🤣🤣🤣
Your economy is failing and will keep failing when you keep voting useless leaders into power. Anyways, the more it fails the cheaper I buy properties in choice areas in this country, so y'all can go ahead to vote incompetence due to tribal and political affiliations
Stop all the under bridge analog jare, go and check the total money CBN as given to BDC operators since it began the % is so insignificant, go n verify
What depleted the Foreign reserve was the settlement of backlogs cardoso embarked on which is best recommended, if you paid debt its only nature your balance go lean but it reinburses your image to creditors
OBi is in no class to give economic advise, the idiot himself how is he contributing to local production, because OBi did not win a whole tribe want military to take over or Nigeria should fail at all cost ... so they can shout "we warn you"
Elonmuzk: I saw this coming, it's a no brainer. Nigeria does not earn enough foreign exchange to support naira. They were just using the foreign reserve to prop up the naira. It seems like they are running out of dollars now. It's probably going to get worse.
Why not save your wishes for your family and loved ones, we don't need it
