CBN sold dollar to banks @ ₦1490 but turns around to complain when parallel market rate fell from ₦1500 to ₦1620 shortly after. If they wanted parallel rate to remain ₦1500, they should have provided dollar to banks at a much lower price.

FX market don't work like that, wide margin between official rate and the parallel market would foster "mopping" and "hoarding"

Presently the difference between Official and parrallel market is less than 200 compared to the before where BDCs/speculators were cashing out over the "wide margin"

How are you reasoning at all, this is a very sensible move.

When you regulate food prices, you kill the incentive to farm and do business in agriculture, by doing so you kill the agricultural sector for good.

When you open the border for importation you give foreign exchange priority: Dollar might get to 5,000. The food prices will still be high and your agricultural sector will still be dead because at the end of the day some people will buy foreign rather than local.

How does opening our land border give priority to "Almighty Dollar" ...

That $12 billion dollars was effectively a subsidy.

By the time Buhari left, Nigeria had just about $3.5 billion in its account. It is from that amount that we have to pay our debts and pay for imports of goods.

As you can see, Nigeria no longer had the $12 billion dollars required to keep naira/dollar rate at less than N600. So the current government had no choice but to give up on trying to subsidise the naira.

If Atiku or any other candidate had won, they would have had no choice than to follow the same path.

Pegging the naira to dollar won't work cos it sounds like faith without work, the Naira as to regain value by itself via trading activities, at the moment no stakeholder or trader has confidence in the "Naira" and that as futher deterioriated to Nigerians picking Dollar as a good store of value over the Naira,

solution : Govt must show preferencial treatmemts to the NAIRA, rebuilding confidence in the Naira is the magic for a start

2. Permiting local banks to trade crypto embroden derailed interest, how are banks suppose to protect the Naira when there money is tied in USSD, have you ever seen any cryto trader pray for dollar to fall.

Recommendation : banks don't need to trade crypto rather Banks should give mouth watering interest on Naira savings and grant loans with considerate interest rate, the logic here is to re-direct people back to Naira which will boost Naira esteem

3. Foreign Investors are like chickens always out for the corn, dangle a stable economy before int'l investor and the will rush after it like chicken picks on corn.

Don't I have the right to collect back my solar system despite that my brother was the one who stole it from my apartment and sold it to them while I was away? Will the law help me recover my solar system and prosecute the buyer? Why can't the buyer conduct due diligence before buying a massively discounted solar system?

My younger brother is at large and all calls placed to him is not reachable Pls advice accordingly. Thanks

Prices of food stuff should not be one of the consequences of fuel subsidy removal if Nigerians are farming, imagine if northerners don't practice Agriculture, how would our lives be?
