A shark with a 12-inch knife embedded in its head ‘asked a diving instructor for help’ to remove it. Ben Johnson was diving with a group of tourists in waters off Cayman Brac in the Cayman Islands last week, when he spotted the bizarre sight. The three-foot long shark was swimming around the floor of the Caribbean Sea, near a hanging reef. Obviously something wasn’t right and I moved in for a closer look,’ he told local news station Cayman 27. ‘At that point, the shark turned around and settled right below me as if asking for help.’ So Ben pulled the knife out of the shark’s head, leaving quite a nasty-looking wound. He said he thought the unfortunate animal was a nurse shark – slow-moving bottom-dwellers that are normally harmless to humans and mostly eat shellfish and coral. Shark fishing has been banned in the Cayman Islands since 2015 and anyone caught doing so could face a $500,000 fine or four years in prison. Ben said he thought his customers were ‘shocked’ to see the shark. ‘People come to Cayman to see our beautiful reefs… no one expects or wants to see a shark with a knife sticking out of its head,’ he added.’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LMB1l1wKVE

Dolphin Retrives Dancers phone just as it falls in the Ocean The dancer wrote that she had asked someone to hold her phone while she swam with dolphins on the idyllic Blue Lagoon Island. True Story: While in the Bahamas, I had the opportunity to go swimming with dolphins on #BlueLagoonIsland. We were filming on this floating platform in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. So, against a my better judgment I asked someone to hold my phone for me and he accidentally dropped my phone into water and it sank to the bottom. Cacique, the dolphin, actually retrieved my phone and brought it back up to me. Cutest thing ever! #Unbelievable #Bahamas #DolphinEncounter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlVrTuUqtZw |
Whale wrapped in fishing line and plastic Again why these animals know we can help them in certain instances is unknown, past experience maybe , been able to tell if this human is good character . It's still a mystery but . Two teenagers near Sydney, Australia, will never forget the morning last August when a distressed southern right whale surfaced nearby. A twisted mass of fishing lines and plastic garbage was holding fast to the top of its mouth. The huge mammal bobbed up and down in the water several times near the boat. Eventually, it got close enough that one of the teens was able to reach out and snatch the pile of trash off the animal's face. The presumably appreciative whale slapped its tail against the water several times before departing back to sea. Amazing Appreciation by the whale though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcXU7G6zhjU Teenage boys help whale remove plastic after it comes to them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4dMZmwWQpY |
Raven stuck with porcupine quills This YouTube video racked-up more than 3 million hits - and for good reason. It was posted in June, 2013, and the description pretty much says it all ' A wild raven perched himself on our fence and squawked for over an hour. I went to see what was up with him and saw that he had four porcupine quills stuck in him, three in the side of his face and one in his wing. This video shows my Mom taking out the ones in his face. Very bizarre he let us get that close and even more bizarre he let my Mom pull the quills out. He hung around for the day and was gone the next. Best of luck Wilfred (yeah, I named him) lol ' That said Ravens are remarkably smart and seem to remember faces too of people and of course tell their friends about what you did for or to them . Witches ? Yeah maybe . But when they hover over roofs or houses , theres definitely a ploy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlwxLtFQcrY |
Dolphin's fin snared by a thread trap A group of marine photographers near Kona, Hawaii, got an unexpected visit from a distressed dolphin in January, 2013. The marine mammal circled several times, eventually swimming up to one of them and putting its left side in their spotlights. Its fin was painfully entangled in fishing wire and pierced by a metal hook. The dolphin waited patiently while diver Keller Laros cut away the wire digging painfully into the animal's flesh. Unfortunately, the divers weren't able to clip-off the metal hook before the dolphin swam away, but they say they were happy enough to have restored most of that fin's range of motion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBRf3nEqfZ8 |
Hopefully these heart warming incidents would bring back your faith In Humanity . 1. Fox with its head stuck in a jar This YouTube video, posted in June of 2013, shows a young fox with its head hopelessly stuck in a glass jar. Unable to free itself, the animal tentatively walked up to some men who happily oblige in removing the container. As the fox trots off into the forest afterwards, one of the Russian men asks, "Hey, where's our 'thank you?'" But the small mammal does look back at the men, perhaps giving a nod of gratitude to the pair who saved its life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj6quKEn3dw |
Reeva Steenkamp was an illustrious South African model who was shot dead by her famous Olympian boyfriend, Oscar Pistorius. She was a dazzling beauty who was murdered by her boyfriend at his home in South Africa on Valentine’s Day 2013. Born in Cape Town, Reeva began modeling in her teens and after earning a Bachelor of Laws degree, she moved to Johannesburg to pursue a career in the fashion industry. Striking blonde with blue-green eyes, she appeared as a cover girl for FHM magazine and later in South African advertisements for various mainstream brands. In November 2012, she began dating Oscar after meeting him through a common friend. But this relationship transformed into a dreadful disaster when on the morning of Valentine’s Day 2013, Oscar shot her to death at his home. Police arrested him almost immediately on charges of murder and although the defense did not deny the bathroom shooting, they constantly argued that it was a tragic accident and not an outrageous murder. Eventually he was found guilty of culpable homicide and was sentenced to five years in prison. Apart from being a successful model, she was also a domestic violence campaigner. She was a vibrant celebrity and a gorgeous model whose successful career was tragically cut short on this day

Andrei Chikatilo was a soviet serial killer, who admitted killing a total of 56 people in Soviet Russia during the 70s and 80s before finally getting executed in 1994. He was nicknamed as Butcher of Rostov, the Rostov Ripper and the Red Ripper. Psychologists later concluded that he suffered from some psychological disorders since his early childhood and that played a great role in his chaotic set of beliefs. Apart from that, the conditions that he was born and brought up in moulded him as a menace to the overall fabric of the society. Many of his victims were women and children, who he sexually assaulted before brutally murdering. This particular behaviour, according to psychologists, developed as a result of his failure to have sexual intercourse with women and the subsequent ridicule he received led to a psychological scarring. ‘Citizen X’, a TV movie made on his life, is banned in many countries due to extremely violent and gory depictions of the murders he committed. He was finally caught after murdering his last victim, Sveta Korostik. He was caught by a patrolling policeman on suspicion and admitted of killing 52 people. Trial took place and he was sentenced to death, which took place in a Moscow jailhouse in 1994. I recomend Citizen X.

THE PHOTOGRAPH This picture shows Bundesen (center, with his hand in his pocket) and his jurors at the scene of the crime, watching police with shotguns re-enact the events of the previous day. It was one of the less gory photographs to appear in the local and national newspapers: frames taken by press-men in the immediate aftermath of the shooting showed corpses lying prostrate on the garage floor with pools of blood leaking around them. The notorious nature of the crime, and its alleged connection to Capone has meant that many artefacts relating to it have been preserved. The building on N. Clark St was demolished during the 1960s, but bricks from the wall, still bearing bullet-holes, were sold off—and many of them are now kept in The Mob Museum in Las Vegas. These have been used to colorize the backdrop in this photograph as faithfully as possible. THE AFTERMATH The men who died on February 14, 1929 were members and associates of the North Side gang, run by George ‘Bugs’ Moran. The North Side gang and Capone’s Chicago Outfit had been vying for some time to control the production and distribution of illegal liquor, and the Valentine’s Day Massacre was apparently planned as an attempt to murder Moran.

This Day In History: 02/14/1929 On this day in 1929 in Chicago, gunmen in the suspected employment of organized-crime boss Al Capone murder seven members of the George "Bugs" Moran North Siders gang in a garage on North Clark Street. The so-called St. Valentine's Day Massacre stirred a media storm centered on Capone and his illegal Prohibition-era activities and motivated federal authorities to redouble their efforts to find evidence incriminating enough to take him off the streets. Alphonse Capone was born in Brooklyn in 1899, the son of Italian immigrants from Naples. In 1921 his old friend Johnny Torrio lured him to Chicago, where Torrio had built up an impressive crime syndicate and was beginning to make a fortune on the illicit commerce of alcohol. In 1925, Torrio was shot four times by Bugs Moran and Hymie Weiss, who were associates of a gangster slain by Torrio's men. Capone was in Florida in February 1929 when he gave the go-ahead for the assassination of Bugs Moran. On February 13, a bootlegger called Moran and offered to sell him a truckload of high quality whiskey at a low price. Moran took the bait and the next morning pulled up to the delivery location where he was to meet several associates and purchase the whisky. He was running a little late, and just as he was pulling up to the garage he saw what looked like two policemen and two detectives get out of an unmarked car and head to the door. Thinking he had nearly avoided being caught in a police raid, Moran drove off. The four men, however, were Capone's assassins. Wearing their stolen police uniforms and heavily armed, Capone's henchmen surprised Moran's men, who agreed to line up against the wall. Thinking they had fallen prey to a routine police raid, they allowed themselves to be disarmed. A moment later, they were gunned down in a hail of shotgun and submachine-gun fire. Six were killed instantly, and the seventh survived for less than an hour.

On the outside, Albert Fish appeared to be an eccentric, grandfatherly old man, but beneath the surface laid a monster with a horrific appetite for children. Fish was a real life “Boogey Man,” only much worse than his fictional counterpart. He committed his most heinous crimes between 1924 and 1928, when he ate two out of the three child victims he confessed to murdering. For this, he was aptly nicknamed the “Werewolf of Wisteria,” but his crimes against children as a serial rapist dated back to the 1890s. Albert Fish was a cold, cunning and opportunistic predator, who used his job as a house painter to find and lure child victims. Born: May 19, 1870, Washington, D.C. Died: January 16, 1936, Ossining, New York M.O.: Lure children, particularly young boys, from low-income neighborhoods with candy, treats and money to a secluded location where he would torture and rape them; for the children he killed uninterrupted, Fish dismembered and ate their bodies. Motive: Sadistic and masochistic sexual gratification Victim Count: Raped an estimated 100 children and possibly killed 15, but only confessed to 3 and was convicted of 1. Best known for: Cannibalism, child predation, religious-themed hallucinations and delusions, self-flagellation during masturbation, and an x-ray showing 27 needles embedded in his pelvic region, used in the pursuit of masochistic sexual gratification. “I had sort of an idea through Abraham offering his son Isaac as a sacrifice. It always seemed to me that I had to offer a child for sacrifice, to purge myself of iniquities, sins, and abominations in the sight of God...If it wasn’t right, then an angel would stop me at the last moment,” Albert Fish.
