No, Israel cannot lift the blockade,the blockade is what is keeping Israel in one piece until now. Prior to the walling/blocked on gaza in 1994, Gaza was an open territory/space. It was the actions of Palestinians terrorists infiltrating & sending suicide bombers into Israel through Gaza that pushed Israel into partially walling Gaza.And this helped putting to an end any attack from gaza until 2004.

It is action that brings reaction, if Palestinians & Arabs in general had accepted Israel as a nation & that Israel has come to stay, the issue of Gaza been the world biggest prison wouldn't have'b envisaged let alone been a reality today.
