If you've already started and gotten this far, don't give up. Keep pushing.

If you haven't started, honestly, this market isn't for the faint of heart. It's a rough and treacherous ride. Be aware that this market is challenging, if you ask me, I will say don't start, focus on something else.

YESTERDAY all CPI related news were green, m/m , y/y and core. It wrecked or made a lot of trades y'day. Heavily one sided, no deflection.

Had EA and GA on my radar but entered only EA. Do you base all your trades close to news? I usually don't check calendar for news but I like learning new things. Your posts piqued my interest .

That is a deflective news and it usually happen if there are other red USD news same time. This is very common for CPI
As CPI m/m - green
CPI y/y - red
Core CPI - red
Since they are mix, it would bounce both ways and decide a direction after a minute or two. NFP is usually one, unless accompanied by unemployment claims. However if all red news go red or green at the same time, it shoot very heavily. Best is single news, one direction news.

Don't claim what you are not. Work with what you have. Don't borrow money to trade forex. Don't remove money from what is kept with you to trade forex. Cut your coat according to your cloth, live within your means.

Your vap system obviously don't work If your vap system is working, you won't be going back and forth with someone because of $63. It's okay if you have a system that's not working but lying to yourself is not going to help you get anywhere

Meshpips is meshpips, he will always Bleep up. VAP system is some bullshit system that never worked. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

If I understand correctly, he took $63 from the $200 sent to his account to trade and we all know he trades using VAP system, so it easy to come to conclusion that he blew that money / acc.

You've been trading off and on for over 10 years, when are you going to start applying yourself meshpips?

Market is little tricky this Sunday AM but I manage to enter and close all my trades in profit now.
Some profit to enjoy this Sunday.

PS: The dates don't matter, ignore it, I ran some sophisticated way of changing date on my phone to hedge stamp wins.

Hedging your trades is a sophisticated way of using stop loss until you're sure whether it's a buy or sell day and once your technical analysis support either way, you load up in the market's intended direction without fear.
Preferred broker is litefinance.

In the screen shot you entered over 13 buy, to successful hedge, you will need to enter a lot size twice the amount, i.e 26 sell.

For profitable traders that are just getting there, I'm told the best thing is to start paying yourself salary. Say every month, pay your 1000-5000$, depending on your account size and the profit coming in.

Say you make $5k this month, pay yourself a salary say $1k, next month if you didn't make anything, you still have $4k left, pay yourself another $1k.

This helps to smooth things out, gives you less pressure, helps you with stability and better financial planning.

People have wasted 5, 10 and 20 years chasing this forex dream, they could have gotten IT degrees, built certifications, developed in other areas but they are stuck and have nothing to show for it.

So in other words, have another source of income. In short, a lot of people that are successful start out from having another source of income, so it gives them less pressure.

All what I wrote here is real life experience. If forex was my primary source of income, well I would be homeless by now LOL.

Can you imagine thinking of your next house rent, car insurance or your kid's school fees and you want to enter a trade thinking that will solve those payments for you, hmmm my oh my.

Sounds bitter but it's the truth. If you don't have another primary source of income, just abort now.

Some of us just can't quit anymore because we have being into it for far too long, so we keep pushing, the struggle get lighter because there is another source of income. So forex is do or die BUT at the same time not do or die.

Without another primary source of income, forex is die and die (not do or die).
