After several weeks away, I return to read so many trashy comments across tens of pages. Nawao. This wasn't how this thread was last year o. Forex aside, maturity and common sense demands one exercises decorum and restrain with their choice of words. If trading forex doesn't change your thought system and life view, then I really dunno what else can. Let's be guided please. There are veterans who have had very deep influence on my trading for my 3 years on this thread. It wouldn't be nice if we make them feel insulted and unappreciated. All of them are very profitable and raking in the dough heavily from forex. They're not in any way obligated to run competitions or even be here to guide all and sundry, yet they made that personal sacrifice of their time and talents to be here. If you were disqualified from a contest, then rest and figure out your eff UPs. Participating in a forex contest is already a win-win for a humble trader who's open to learning. At least, you get to test your strategies with real emotions. Winning the prize money is just an extra. It's not even the real thing. I've contested in Pipsbasketings $100 contest (finished 5th or 6th) and infofirst's contests (finished 4th one time), I wasn't bothered much about missing out on the prize money cos I already won right from the onset. It's about trading with the right mentality to understand the market first, the bag will come through with time. Enough with the entitlement mentality already! Let's not bite the hands that are meant to feed us. Forex is not a do or die affair, neither is it a competition to see who's right or wrong. What matters most is the actual money withdrawn at the end of each trading cycle. These veterans and elders here will help us achieve exactly that. Let's stop disrespecting them. It's disgusting and shameful.

It actually affects everyone in Nigeria. On Thursday, all the trucks heading to the east via Rivers State had to stop at Port Harcourt to observe the “sit at home” warning. They lost 24hours. If you know the cost of one hour in such businesses, you can then quantify the cost to Nigeria. It’s funny when we think it affects the South East alone. I did a project on the cost of traffic jam to a state government in school and you can’t imagine the high cost. I wish this will stop. I live in PH and I’m losing money on weekly basis over this.
