Good. We are here to help one another. Just do some independent search too as that is where most of the answers you seek will emanate from. Wish you the best. smiley

GeneralShepherd:

My field is offshore engineering and so I am not an expert in this field

However, ironically one of the best schools to study aeronautics or manufacturing is my alma mata. Cranfield University in the UK.

They are one of the best if not the best is aerospace engineering and Manufacturing in the world.

As per Australia check out University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, University of new south Wales, Monash University.
ok. Thanks boss, will check them out.

By assistantship, I meant Graduate Assistantship from the school.
Anyway, you can try Uni of Minnesota- twin cities, University of Central Florida, Wichita State Uni & Iowa State Uni.
please can you tell me more about the Graduate assistantship.

''Average'' is subjective. To me, the average Nigerian can't even fund a U.S education except he or she gets an assistantship. What's your definition of average, sir?
my definition might be different from yours, and yes there will be a sponsor. But I Still need schools that are cheap. Cos I have doubts about the buoyancy of my sponsor's pocket.

Please mark the main phrase in his post, a few years ago. Post 2012, securing a job in the UK for an international students has increased in difficulty.

I rest my case. And yes, studying in the UK gave me access to the Australian labour market, imagine what studying in Australia itself has to offer.
by January I will be in my final year, for days now have been trying to source out info concerning the best place to have my M.sc( UK is a no go area for me). Please can you help me with info on schools that offer aeronautic engineering or manufacturing and production there in Australia cheap enough for an average Nigerian.

Yes legal immigrant but not with visiting visa, to achieve all that you listed you need to hold either student visa, work visa, spouse visa or a permanent resident.
alright. Thanks for the clarification.

Not possible legally because with visiting visa you can't open bank account, rent an accommodation let alone getting a loan. No church will allow you to work for them with visiting visa because they know the consequences.
That implies the person must be a legal immigrant..

Anything is possible.
That person will forever be looking out for immigration to catch him and send him home.
Sleepless nights waiting for the door to be opened at 2 am by police and immigration.
No rest for the wicked!
seriously shocked

Good morning guys, is it possible for someone that has overstayed his visit to the UK to get an accommodation, have a bank account in the UK?, get bank loans from such banks? ,transfer money to his people through any means?, to own a business and even print a business card?, go to church and even be an active member (a worker)? Am just asking this questions out of curiosity.

Naaaa he doesn't need at least 2 years, he needs to have a minimum of 1 year work experience in a skilled job to qualify.
so what do you advise, and what do you mean by skilled job?

Great ambition there. But you will need at least 2 years to qualify for any of the programmes you listed above.
However, you can run a postgraduate study over there in Canada if you have sponsor(s). Studying there gives you an edge eventually
So, i will advise you as follows:
1) Face your first degree and graduate with the best grade you possibly can.
2) Even though i know it's good to be open minded, when you desire something, it is always better to pursue it with all you've got. So, while studying, settle it within yourself that you will be studying for your PG degree in Canada.
3) After submitting your project(s), begin to gather information and documents that you might need. For instance, International Passport, the area you would like to specialize, what schools are best, yet cost effective, in that area of study, how much can you afford, who will sponsor you, what other information do you need, where to get them etc.
4) Look out for Canadian study threads on Nairaland; it will be of great help to you.

Cheers!
thanks big time

Good evening Seniors while reading I couldn't but notice the tremendous help from Zandora, JesusDway and a host of others (sorry couldn't recall all the names as at when I was typing) you all are wonderful people by the way. Congrats to Zandora and other applicants who have been successful so far.. Am still an undergraduate, studying an engineering course. Come January by God's grace I will be in my final year. And I had like to migrate to Canada for employment and my MSE immediately after school if possible . But Am not well acquainted with which process that will be much better for me (Express entry, FSW, PNP, CEC etc). Anticipating your help. Thanks in advance.
