The major issue here is the lightning and/or size (<2MB).

Forget about the background colour and height/width, the system will take care of that automatically.

Take the photo outside where there is enough light and make sure your face is clear enough. Let it be straight as well.

No need to beautify the photo because you are still going there to take the real photo while capturing.

I got it after 6 hours as promised!

Got both SMS and email

I paid on the16th. Did capturing today. I was asked to pay 2k at the office which I did. I did not spend up to 20 minutes. Osogbo CID.

I was told that I'll get the clearance certificate in my email after 6 hours.

Just go to the State CID you filled once your application says biometric capturing (stage 3). They won't send you any email or sms for capturing.

We all know how difficult and stressful it can be to be a student of OAU, it doesn't stop when you graduate.

Getting your certificate can be frustrating as well not to talk of getting your transcript � �. OAU post graduate studies too is not left out.

I'll be sharing with you, the easy way of getting your hard earned certificate out of the school.


1️⃣ You first need to check your name on the graduation/convocation list from the school portal popularly called *Eportal* .

If found, congratulations � you can now proceed to make payment.

2️⃣ You'll pay through remita, starting from the online convocation registration on the eportal.

*NOTE* you can only initiate the payment from Eportal.

3️⃣ After making the payment, You'll print either the receipt on your convocation registration profile or the remita receipt and take it to cash office at senate building to convert it to OAU receipt (green receipt).

Sometimes you'll meet officials that only accept the receipt from the convocation profile, some prefer remita receipt while some are indifferent, they collect any of the two.
To save yourself the OAU stress, I'll advise you go with the two receipts

4️⃣ You'll take the receipt among other documents to the Exam and records/Certificate office at senate building, room 203, I think.

Other documents to take along include:

✅ Green receipt

✅ Library clearance

✅ Statement of result, if given

✅ School ID card or departmental
Identification letter

5️⃣ Submit this documents and wait for few minutes for them to search for your certificate

6️⃣ Collect the certificate and append your signature on the certificate collection list, state if you collected it for yourself or for someone else (yes, proxy collection is allowed).



*Everything can be done in one day, all things being equal*

The Test is not that difficult, you can prepare with O'level materials like JAMB or WAEC,about Six basic Maths questions, Six Antonyms and Synonyms, About three or four Logical questions and Four Current affairs. wish you good luck.
