Leyqute:Exactly. He was inspired by almighty Courtois. |
In hindsight, it's the Senegal that everyone's been bashing that has disturbed this Super France team the most. No other team has put France on the backfoot like they did in the first half of that game. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:The guy just like to dey form activity with little output. |
Kilishihunter:Yes I agree. It's mainly between Kane, Mbappe and Dembele depending on their remaining performances individually and who wins. Kane's 73 goal season is a strong factor for him. Almost like a Messi 2012. If he gets to the final scoring more goals along the way, he'd have a very good chance even if England don't win. |
Kikelomogbenga:Ok. |
Carot:He tracked back yesterday o, make I no lie. I've never seen this French team defend well as much as they did yesterday. Thats why they are formidable. Not one-dimensional |
Kikelomogbenga:Yet he is the reigning Ballon dor winner. Are you Trev*r in disguise because the absence of a thought process is baffling. I'm out. |
drisham:For Haaland to win - Norway has to win the WC and he has to keep scoring incl in the final. For Mbappe to win - France must win WC on his continued exploits and Dembele must not have any further meaningful contribution to that success. For Dembouz to win - France must at least get to final and he must deliver individually against Spain and in the final. He has credit with the UCL win that others don't have. For Kane to win- England must at least get to the final and he must continue his trend of impact in the final three games. For Yamal to win - Spain must win the WC and he must be the decisive factor against Belgium, France and in the final. The other contenders must simultaneously also not improve on their impact in the latter stages. For Messi to win - Argentina must simply win the WC and he must continue his trend of unparalleled exploits. |
Kikelomogbenga:Not saying Mbappe can't win but it won't be as straightforward because Dembele's WC win (in event of that), in addition to his strong WC performances, will be bolstered by his UCL exploits and win (which counts against Mbappe). At the moment, Harry Kane is the Ballon Dor favorite, if France wins it will be tight between Mbappe, Dembouz and Kane especially if Kane and Dembouz also add to their G/As in the QF/SF/final. |
Carot:Lol, Dembouz was a favorite of mine circa 2017 - 2019. In fact I predicted to a friend back in 2018 that he would win the Ballon dor in the near future after his scintillating display against Tottenham in the UCL that season. But he won it in a completely different manner than I expected. From 2019 to 2022 he lost my support after his severely frustrating displays. He somehow picked up in the last season at Barca and I started warming up to him again, only for him to abandon ship and join PSG. Sincerely I never thought he'd win the D'or again until Enrique somehow breathed life into him. Overall, I've always had a soft spot for him. Oya bring the agenda make I hear am lol |
AirBere:Dembele might have a say due to UCL and if he also adds to his G/A in these final games. His strong candidacy might split votes for Mbappe. |
By the way, Rabiot's hands clearly touched the ball before Mbappe scored his goal, but we have not heard a single pim about rigging from the usual quarters. I imagine Enzo handling the ball before Messi scored, all the currently silent ones would be raging mad. Goes to show the whole rigged agenda is just about the jealousy and fear of Messi's greatness. It's been on since 2014 WC anyway. N.B: In my view, Mbappe's goal was legit. |
Kikelomogbenga:Brazil 2002 |
patrickmuf:I wish to see the UCL Yamal that terrorised Inter against France. Now is the time for him to unveil that cape. |
Don't think Morocco has had a single scoring chance in this match. The French defence is underrated. |
andrewbaba44:True, but Paraguay was using dark arts approach. Morocco instead was playing sexy defensive football. |
France is just too packed with nuclear power. Other countries usually have one, but France carry like 5 missiles at the same time. It will be a real shocker if they fail to win this World Cup. Spain has got their work cut out for them. |
Kilishihunter:Yeah. That Rabiot looks Arab. |
andrewbaba44:Exactly. France is just relying on African imports. |
Kilishihunter:Lucas Digne looks like an outsider in this French team. |
Bono moving like Dibu Martinez 2022 version. |
Morocco just dey take too much risks at the back. Make overconfi no go bite them. |
Seems like Cryvor's trying to get my attention. I'm allergic to failure bro... |
"Before Cristiano, Portugal had nothing...yen yen yen" Before Cristiano, there were no 3rd place teams qualifying from the group stage at the Euros Before Cristiano, there were no glorified annual friendly tournaments called Nations league. If the tournament conditions that existed before Cristiano were maintained after Cristiano, there would be no single international trophy for Cristiano. Portugal and Eusebio's 1966 WC Bronze finish is greater than Cristiano's Euros. Choke on that.. |
Trebor, I hear that Ronaldo and his team mates have landed safely in Lisbon. Sha thank God for journey Messis. |
Kilishihunter:Its absolutely crazy. It's like they had seen the inevitable but were just in denial. |
andrewbaba44:Whoever compared Gyan and Ronaldo9's WC legacy is high on crack. |
andrewbaba44:Vozinha sef get better WC legacy than Ogunmepon. He has never been eliminated at the group stage of the WC. Make Pendu run am if he fit. |
All these guys shouting corruption with Argentina up and down. Why didnt you call out Infantino and referees romance with Ronaldo when they gave him the following script: - Colombia goal disallowed for non-existent offside - Croatia second goal disallowed for imaginary offside - Croatia last minute third goal disallowed after ball was last touched by Portuguese defender before getting to Perisic. - Modric calling out FIFA's unjustness against Portugal. - Pendu's red card suspension before the WC Where are your voices over these blatant fraudulent decisions that grossly outweigh whatever favour you assume Messi enjoyed? Dem give Ogunmepon script, free expo, yet e no fit deliver come dey copy back of book. Selective outrage fit kpai una |
Bluelines69:All join.. ![]() |
Bimmarlykay: ![]() Actually, Lamine was asking him "Unc, Shebi you go still show for 2030 ba?"
|
fredoooooo:The World cup is a 7 game tournament. But for Ronaldo it has consistently been a 3 - 4 game tournament , So maybe he actually has a point buhahahahahaahaaa |
