AMI3:Hello, pls get your facts right. Mourinho's Chelsea team faced CR7 in Manutd from 2004 to 2007/08. I think he also faced him when CR was in Juventus and during CR's second stint at Manutd while he was Tottenham's coach. So you are looking at not less than 5 seasons that he was his opponent. Mourinho absolutely knows what he's saying. |
Kobicove:You are referring to the 2007 Sport Edition. I kind of agree. It ranks higher than the "Bolt" Corolla in my opinion. |
Love800:I meant Glo is not publicly listed on the stock market like mtn, dangote & co. In terms of value, it should be between number 2 to 4, if its shares were publicly traded. |
Love800:Yes this is correct like you were already told. But there is still a direct correlation between the earnings power and the market value. Generally, the higher a company earns, it tends to reflect in a higher share price thereby increasing its market value. It's therefore no coincidence that the highest non-oil revenue earners in Nigeria are MTN, Dangote & BUA all of whom also top the market cap list here. Note: Globacom is a private company hence its absence on this list. |
She was a very good player and great pundit as well. However, there might be some truth to her complaining habit cos she just recently accused Ian Wright as well regarding female football and had to apologize to him shortly after. |
Slytiger:Lol you are. Atlanta is thousands of miles from the west coast. |
danvon:Yes there are several apparent contradictions in the quotes, but this is because many people erroneously treat the laws as fixed commandments to be applied at all times. They would be more useful if you treat them as principles to be adopted based on the circumstances you face per time. For example, there is a time to court attention and another time not to outshine the master. There are moments one needs to blend in with the crowd and at other times standing out will work better. This way, you will find out that there are instances in a person's life when every single one of those laws will hold true in helping to achieve one's objectives. |
MadamExcellency:I think the way the report was presented by the AIRS is confusing. Read it well again, it seems the 656million in 2 years is also Sabmiller's statistics which they further broke down into monthly elements. "Sabmiller came a distant sixth position behind Fidelity bank, with 656million in 2 years". Like I said, it makes sense that the "with 656million in 2 years" is referring to Sabmiller because the Anambra tax authority will be contravening data privacy laws by disclosing another entity's tax payments (Fidelity) in an unsolicited manner. Also when you add up the monthly elements, it approximately totals to the 656million. It also seems from the statement that Fidelity is in fifth place and not in first place as most are assuming here. Actually, the wording of the statement should have been clearer. |
owobokiri:Hindsight has contributed immensely to the current positive perception of Yaradua's tenure. During his actual tenure however, Yaradua was criticized by Nigerians a lot because of the following: - he was mostly ill and out of country for medical attention for prolonged periods leading to general perception that the economy was slow due to his absenteeism. - In fact, people started criticizing OBJ for handing Nigeria over to an unfit president. - His tenure was taken over by his wife Turai and the Cabal. In fact it was under Yaraduas tenure that the term Cabal first became a popular character in Nigeria's presidency. Nonetheless, Nigerians appreciated Yaradua in two major areas: a. He reduced Petrol price to 69 Naira/litre b. He granted amnesty to Niger Delta agitators which was a brilliant move in resolving the ND conflict This is a balanced accurate view of events as they happened at the time. |
SmartPolician:This is an exaggeration. Yaradua was criticized by Nigerians a lot during his tenure because of the following: - he was mostly ill and out of country for medical attention for prolonged periods leading to general perception that the economy was slow due to his absenteeism. - In fact, people started criticizing OBJ for handing Nigeria over to an unfit president. - His tenure was taken over by Turai and the Cabal. In fact it was under Yaraduas tenure that the term Cabal first became a popular character in Nigeria's presidency. Nonetheless, Nigerians appreciated Yaradua in two major areas: a. He reduced Petrol price to 69 Naira/litre if I'm not mistaken b. He granted amnesty to Niger Delta agitators which was a brilliant move in resolving the ND conflict Let's shun revisionism but provide a balanced accurate view of events as they happened. |
OgaStory:Errm, blatant lie. Tiki taka definitely won Spain 2 Euros and 1 Worlcup. It was no coincidence that Spain's dominance and trophy wins coincided with Pep's Barcelona era of 2008 - 2012. The core of the Spanish team then were mostly Barca players. Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Pedro, Puyol, Pique, Alba, and later Villa & Fabregas. Stop forcing the agenda when facts clearly indicate otherwise. |
This is quite humiliating. Its not something any decent President should be subjected to. Nigeria is definitely not in this class. |
I expect big apologies to Inter Miami from those Pendulums & Vardrid fans. 38 year old Messi played much better against this super Psg team than prime Scambappe. Obonujoker, Obembet & co, your opinions are needed here ![]() |
Derumklala12:This PSG don't look gassed to me even at full time. I'm saying if we could just reduce that vulnerability a bit. I mean it cost us a place in the UCL final. |
If only Barca's defence can be as tight as PSG's, then I'd be confident that we are better - cos the only difference between them and us vs Vardrid is that they are not even allowing them a sniff at goal. I dare say our attack is better than PSG's or at worst at par. But the issue was that we were always allowing Madrid to come back into the game. |
BlackViper:Bros, they experienced weightlessness for 3 minutes and were able to look down and see the earth as a giant round ball. That's enough qualification as Space. Money did not go to waste. Person reach Mowe/Ibafo/Opic from Ibadan, you say e never enter Lagos. O wrong nau. |
Congratulations to Chief Owoblow! That feeling of weightlessness - of floating - is the real evidence of space travel - even if its only for three minutes. Imagine they went into the outer hemisphere and didn't float, that would have felt like a scam, just like regular air travel. Some experiences in life can only be unlocked when you don belleful and have more than enough to cater to regular needs. Sadly, only few get to fully maximize this especially in Africa. A successful life here mostly revolves around attending good schools, getting good jobs, getting married, buying cars, securing a house or houses, clubbing, religious and social recognition, travel to obodo oyinbo for annual vacation shikena. Often times its nothing out of the ordinary. That's why I doff my hat for guys like these - who live out their dreams and life - in full. |
cr7lomo:Pls don't use this sense to cross road abeg. Very typical of you Pendulums - Goalpost shifting. The one I quoted was harping on Xavi and Iniesta, you seeing no road there don jump to another dead end. Pendu's only major international trophy was won in absentia - courtesy of Eder. Man wasn't even on the pitch for like 95% of the contest yet his fanyogo weenies have been yapping that he carried a weak Portugal to their first trophy to practically everyone. Where was this your logic in this instance? But but Di Di Maria...... Witch! ![]() |
jaxxy:Are you being deliberately ignorant cos your question is absurd? 2 Copa Americas without Xavi and Iniesta 18/19 la liga trophy without X&I. A couple of Copa del reys without X&I. Almighty World cup without X&I. Not counting carrying a weak Inter Miami team to the first two major trophies in their history. Was X&I involved? The player with the highest trophy count (46) in all of football history. Stop hating on success like a witch. |
TheStranger:The stats are true. They picked up the employment data from the financial statements of the companies themselves as these are all publicly listed entities. Except if you are implying Zenith falsified its own data in its financials. |
OJEEMAH:OJ bro how far! Don't mind those deluded ones. Messi and Miami have already surpassed global expectations by qualifying from the group stage. And Messi already had his moment of acclaim against Porto. Pendu fans have been highly pained by Messi's progress in this tournament despite being overwhelming underdogs. The PSG match na just jara. MLS cup is the goal for Messi. And I think he still got enough juice to play for a top European team for at least a season. A return to Barca by Jan next year won't be bad. |
There are 2 snakes in pic 2. One big gaboon and another slimmer coiled one. For pic 1, its not clear but I see semblance of body parts of a snake only, but they could also be leaves or debris. |
LabStores:Exactly. Rain water sef na distilled water and way purer than AC water. Collect rain water from open air and sell for millions - make we all dey mumu dey go. |
The truth is if the economies of South American countries were same as the top European nations, they'd have the best football leagues in the world cos they produce the best players - original content. If African economies were as good as well, they'd be the second best after S.America. We'd have or had players like Yamal, Zidane, Mbappe, Dembele, Makelele, Doue, Saka etc Europe is just cashing out on foreign talents. |
Another magical performance from the GOAT. Only he could have done this at 38yrs. Score a high profile freekick against a UCL team in a competitive match. Some others are only good enough for penalties and tapins in glorified friendly matches.. |
correctguy101:You gerrit. At some point in the build up to the 2002 WCup ladies were actually falling over to get near him or even a glimpse. Several old women in Korea Japan booked hotels near the English team's location just to experience Beckamania. |
slimjohn2k5:Please could you provide more background explanation for the emboldened part of your comment? |
Finally, this was long overdue! Becks was the first true "Hollywood" footballer. The one with the glitz and glamor before Pendu came on board. The redemption arc is officially complete. Between 1998 and 1999, Beckham was subjected to the most vile abuse a footballer can ever experience from English fans. Little by little, he turned the tide; First with his contributions in United's 1999 treble win and especially the UCL final. Then the last minute free kick against Greece that sent England to the World Cup. His revenge goal vs Argentina at the WC 2002. Subsequently after retirement, his numerous charity work and now, Knighthood. Congratulations Sir David Beckham. |
Derumklala12:Okay. But remember that more weight tends to be attached to performances in latter half of season than first half. This is the reason Hakimi has now surpassed Salah in the CAF award favorite rankings. It is what it is. |
Derumklala12:Bro, Raphina did great scoring goals and notching assists consistently. If he wins the Bdor I will not begrudge him at all. But while Raphina has been consistent in being effective, Yamal has been consistently electric. Check all the big games of the season, Raphina had the G/As but it was Yamal that stole hearts and grabbed the headlines because he not also only scored or assisted but was the constant driver of the teams attack. Without Yamal, we wouldn't have won the CDR vs Madrid and would probably have lost la Liga (without the winning performance vs Tico and Espanyol away). In all the games vs Madrid, Yamal was the star performer in the attack. Against Dortmund UCL without Yamal, Barca would have been eliminated without a commanding first leg lead. Vs Inter he was the standout. Same also against Benfica in the KO. All these big games shape voters perception. That's why the surprising no-show in the UNL final might hurt his chances. Maybe its even good for him to not win the b'dor so early and keep his head down. Yamal just gives off that star magical player aura like Neymar, Ronaldinho and Messi did for Barca. Raphina no just get that steeze. He gives more like a prime Sadio Mane vibe which isn't bad actually. |
buygala:At this point I think you are just trolling deliberately. Rage baiting. Cos the extreme resistance to sense cant just be real. |
This book is highly overrated.
