Theoretically when doing that genetic tree cross-breeding, but practically, nature adopts random algorithm.
Practically two parents who are both AS genotype may have unfair chances of producing two or more sicklers while another parents of both AS genotype may not produce any SS.
I for, example don't know the genotype of my parents, but I and my immediate brother are both AS and we are seven from same parents.
And non of us is a sickler.
To be frank, i don't know the genotype of my older siblings, but they are all married with kids and their children are all healthy.
