If you can't see how a deep sea port brings development and businesses to a state or region, then I can't help you.
pls how is all you said related to these questions I asked...do you have the answer to the questions? how is the question I asked related to property development? can you pls remind when and where I informed you that I am in property development?

This is very good news.

My chief worry is if there is enough freight traffic to sustain it.

The Cross River state government should build a massive Export Processing Zone with the manufactured products exported through the zone.

An eco-system can be created around the seaport.

Dem will soon build a SEAPORT for the SE by the many many BILLIONARES from ANambra alone. grin

Oh shit, I forgot. SEA no dey for that area. Landlocked by nature.....No wonder they wan claim Lagos by any means necessary.
😂
They would soon start claiming Calabar. Just let the sea port be complete. They would never hold their own governors, HOR and senators accountable.

It will open up the creeks of niger delta for economic development.
New cities like Ibeju-Lekki, Bonny Island, Brass will spring up.
Even private varsities will be sited there.
Also be in the know that foreigners prefer doing business and living in coastal cities.
Also, access to sea guarantees higher safety in times of crisis than being stranded in the hinterland.

That's what they do too. Today, a thread was created about SW education, ibos invaded that thread and started mocking the Yorubas. Voices like yours was missing from that thread. You can't gaslight others and not expect pushback.

Your reasoning is very shallow just like Peter Obi. Connectivity is the engine room of development. With Costa highway, Lagos to PH will be maximum of 6 hours journey.

The same thing Ndigbo did to the Fulanis and are trying to do to the Yorubas. Whatever energy you put out is what you will get back. Law of nature.

are you saying that without a coastal highway, all these will not be possible in Nigeria? pls how many of the above have been accomplished along all the highways in Nigeria? what data do you have to support your claim that "foreigners prefer doing business and living in coastal cities"? which crisis are you anticipating that warrants coastal highway? is that right now in nigeria there is no access to the sea from the hinterland?

Cross River is following the lead of Lekki deep sea port in Lagos. Both ports soon to be connected by the coastal highway.

That is how a how country can developed, can you imagine Tinapa and Bakkasi seaport connecting to Lekki and Lekki FTZ .

Nigeria needs to focus on electricity.

The Lagos-Calabar coastal road project is a significant infrastructure initiative aimed at enhancing transportation networks along the southern coastline running from Lagos through the eight coastal states up to Cross River.

The project involves the construction of a modern road spanning approximately 700 kilometers, connecting Lagos to Calabar while linking major urban centers, industrial hubs, and seaports along the southern coast.

The road starts from Lagos, the Lekki Deep Seaport, and runs through Ogun, Ondo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom.

With the approval of a N1.06 trillion contract for the construction of the first phase of the coastal road, covering 47.47 kilometers dual carriageway of five lanes on each side and a train track in the middle,

The project will stimulate economic growth, facilitate trade, and enhance regional integration by improving connectivity and reducing travel times between key economic zones.

Additionally, the project is expected to have far-reaching socio-economic benefits, including the creation of employment opportunities, the promotion of tourism, and the enhancement of accessibility to essential services for communities along the route.

The Lagos-Calabar coastal road project holds the potential for unlocking the hidden productivity of the country’s coastal regions and hinterlands. Improved transportation infrastructure reduces travel times, lowers transportation costs, and enhances market access for businesses of all sizes. This, in turn, spurs investment, stimulates trade, and catalyzes economic diversification.

Moreover, by integrating remote communities into national and regional supply chains, the Lagos-Calabar coastal road bridges the rural-urban divide, fostering inclusive development and reducing income disparities.

So from just a 2day workshop the clown attended,he has got funding worth $3.5b and you believe him?You think $3.5b is ₦3.5b a bank will just pull out of their vault and give?
That is why many government officials hoodwink some Nigerians, they just say anything and people believe them.
For that huge amount,a lot of inspection has to be done by the bank, plans scrutinized and loan repayment foolproof with guaranteed collateral.
Besides, such foreign loan requires CBN involvement.
At best what the clown got from the bank was commitment of interest in looking at the project, not anything like loan for now.
It's like you went to meet someone to invest some money in a project and the person tells you he has heard and would go through the documents and get back to you later?
Does it mean he has agreed to put money into it?

Cross River State will surely reclaim its lost glory. This I have seen. The state has the potential of being as prosperous as Lagos State; if not more prosperous. They just need massive investment in education, human capital development, critical infrastructure and industrialisation.

God Bless Cross River State

Lol,the bitter souls from erosion-ravaged,tiny landlocked 5 plots of land are no where to be found here! They are avoiding this thread like a plague, awon osinwin! The loudmouthed f0000lssss from the SAD EAST are waiting for the federal government to build a Seaport for them! You wonder where the Sea,beside which the Seaport will be built,is located in their tiny land. "Give us Seaport now and we will move all our businesses to Alaigbo" ! Seaport this Seaport that, blah blah!

Everybody is moving forward but the Sadists, wailing wailers from hell, are busy giving all sorts of excuses! Una neva know what's up;by the time the ongoing coaster highway is ready, the socio-economic transformation of that corridor will make even Mr Azikiwe turns in his grave!

Congratulations to the good people of Cross River State and all genuine Nigerians!

half of what you wrote was on what the project is and what it entails which does not in any way answer the questions I asked which are "what is the benefit of the lagos-calabar coastal highway to nigeria? how is the road futuristic and innovative?"

you said that the coast highway will "stimulate economic growth, facilitate trade, and enhance regional integration by improving connectivity and reducing travel times between key economic zones."

can you pls explain how the coastal highway will accomplish this? are these activities not presently happening? are there no roads that presently link or provide connectivity? pls what is the state of those roads?

you also said that the road will have "far-reaching socio-economic benefits, including the creation of employment opportunities, the promotion of tourism, and the enhancement of accessibility to essential services for communities along the route."

this is quite ambiguous. can you pls break it down? what are those employment opportunities the road? how will the road promote tourism? are you saying that without this road, tourism will not be promoted? what are the essential services that this road will provide access to?

when you say "The Lagos-Calabar coastal road project holds the potential for unlocking the hidden productivity of the country’s coastal regions and hinterlands. Improved transportation infrastructure reduces travel times, lowers transportation costs, and enhances market access for businesses of all sizes. This, in turn, spurs investment, stimulates trade, and catalyzes economic diversification", you are just repeating the things you said earlier but in different words.

what are the hidden productivity of the country's coastal regions and hinterlands and help tie them to this road lets see how the road will unlock them.

how will the road achieve this...."Moreover, by integrating remote communities into national and regional supply chains, the Lagos-Calabar coastal road bridges the rural-urban divide, fostering inclusive development and reducing income disparities."

are there no existing roads between Lagos and Calabar that can achieve the goal you stated above?

how will the road foster "inclusive development and reduce income disparities"?
