for programming I would go for macbook pro.....BUT WHY.....welll because
1. the best software for web development exits on OS X eg TextMate and more....it is believed that the best developers are on macs so they built the best tools on macs

2. windows is considered to be slow, complex and unreliable in comparison to OS X

3.Mac OS X is the only platform that allows you to develop for any platform - web, Microsoft windows (bootcamp), iOS , Mac, Unix and Linux

You are cracking my ribs brother, I don't think there is anything like a programming laptop, anyone you can get your hands on will do. And your myth of only Mac being able to program on all languages is so false, my best guess is that you are an apple fan boy.

Which is the best way to keep learning, is it by coding html, CSS and Javascript from scratch or just using bootstrap, which is more beneficial for a newbie. I do html Javascript CSS and PHP. From scratch is too time consuming and gives me less time to focus on the back end.

Before you get confused and start crying, just build a blog like the person above said. The best way to learn is by practice and learning a new skill when it is required, don't just pack your head with theories and no practical. Leave MVC and OOP now. I believe you learnt procedural PHP, after doing whatever you decide to do, then make the jump to OOP and what ever that MVC means. Do make the jump to OOP it can not be over emphasized.

I have bee learning PHP for some time now, and covered a little ground in it. But all that has been in procedual style. So I decided to delve into OOP it being the most secure of both and more organized. Here is my problem:

I am 20 yrs old, and currently seeking admission into the university, I wrote JAMB this year and PUTME and admission is not forth coming. I have met some many JAMBites that told me they spent 3-4 years at home waiting to enter the university. I worked as a marketer for a tech teaching institute but I had to give that up (or I was forced to give that up my guardians).
I have faith and I am working towards getting admission by next year, but now I have learned not to put all my efforts and time in preparing for JAMB, during the day time I read for JAMB, and around 1-4:30am I am awake practicing/learning PHP & MYSQL. The question is : is this right? some many of my friends and older ones have told me to relent and focus squarely on JAMB and get admission then start the computer ish. But I don't see reason in this, programming is too beautiful a temptation to avoid. Advice please...
