Thank God for the successful end of another academic session, it was not easy for the parents, doing the school runs and homework, for the teachers, doing the teaching and the children doing the learning.

It was a period of striving for academic excellence, unending teaching and learning, the children never had time for themselves; they were busy going to school, doing their home works and all.

Personally I love holiday period, no waking up on time to get the kids ready for school. If I manage to dodge work in a day, I would get to sleep till whenever. It is not so very easy getting your kids to stop bed wetting. I have seen kids at 9 years, even 10 years old still bed wetting and the mothers complain so much and are tired of complaining; they are tired of their children’s constant, every night bed wetting. Some mothers even think and believe it is spiritual for a 1o year old to still bed wet (everything these days is a spiritual problem).

Bed wetting makes their room all smelly and stuffy and if there is no mackintosh on the bed, skin infection can occur. Bed wetting send mattresses to their early grave.
I’m not sure any child wants to be bed wetting; they do it unknowingly while sleeping and probably dreaming of how they were peeing in the toilet, only to wake up and see themselves soiled with their urine. Back then in the university, there are some things I did not do that I wish I did, I think I missed out not doing them. If I should turn back the hands of the time, I would definitely do them very well.

These days I noticed it is not only academics/education one needs to be successful and or maybe rich; though education is paramount and very important in life, but have you considered what will happen if education/academics meets talent.

Some schools have food time table which is what every child must bring to school, I think this is to make sure every child in the school has the same thing in their lunch packs. I like that idea but to me, its not necessary, every mother knows what her kids likes and wants to give it to them.
My everyday struggle is to feed my kids and I must do that and do it well. After all it is said that what is worth doing is worth doing well.
