Ikenna351: Whatever you do, please stay away from the converted ones. No matter how long it takes, you will still find the standard LHD EW10 manual tranny 406.thanks for the advise, I'm even thinking of crossing over to Cotonou to get a clean LHD. |

most that i've come across are converted ones, i inspected 3 very clean ones but all converted from RHD to LHD. but i'll keep searching. |

some models have a speed of 230km/h while some have 250km/h, what does that difference tell? does it differentiate the type of engine? the one in the pic has 250 |

Thankk you very much for you input, but d EW10 does 170-180km wit so much ease and stays very stable at that speed. that would be ok for me since thats nomally my threshold. |

[size=12pt][/size]I'm considering buying Peugeot 406 mainly for travel, I dont want to be using my other car for long journeys. I heard its easy to maintain, rugged and balanced at very high speeds. I intend getting a manual trans cos of the many woefull tales i've heard about the auto. I also heard the AC is super too and fuel economy is reasonable. But a friend then advise i get the one wit EW10 engine, that its less prone to problems. and that the EW12 is more powerful but gives problems easily. Anyone in the house knowledgable on this issue? Find Out!:thanks for clarifying it to him, there ar even 2006 wit fog lamp and 2007 witout fog lamps. the ones wit foglamps are very rare, and there is aftermarket for lamps ppl put. |

okito: The 2007 honda accord EX-L is a good machine to drive, though it's more expensive than others. I ve been driving mine for a year now and no single major issue. I ve driven through floods, very bumpy roads and all, still it remains strong. Just ensure you service as often as necessary. Also make sure you get a copy of the manual and have it handy at all times. Once you change the engine oil, be sure to adjust the oil life to 100%, following the instructions spelt out in the manual, as most of these mechanics do not know how to do it. Use original parts at all times. Before you pay for the car, run thorough diagnostics-VERY IMPORTANT. Where you can get a good one, honestly I do not know. I combed the major areas where you have car dealers for over 2 months, including the whole stretch of western avenue and ikorodu road but didnt quite get what I wanted-I managed to get mine by a stroke of luck from a private seller, you may however try Inspired Autos. its very very annoying when i see some driver get to an intersection then they put hazard lights on,in their own mind they are telling me they intend going staright. ver very wrong, shows alot of ppl never even read d high way code. If you are going straight you dont need to put on any light at all. Some one comin from either of your side will just see dat particular light and might not take note of the other one, and might think u want to go dat direction. Please lets stop this and also educate those who do it. Thank you. |
