the prob wit Abuja is u have to be connected or recommended by sm1 in d govt.
try Nigcomsat,NASDAR,MTN,Etisalat,Huawei,JB,GTbank. . .etc

Cos getting in like everyone is advising you should be your main concern. You are still a graduate with very little bargaining chips so concentrate more on passing the rigorous recruitment process.

Most people that negotiate salaries generally have something to offer and are able to back whatever claims they make. In fact these people are most likely to be head-hunted.

Shell has a salary scale for entry level, and they're not likely to change it for you,or give you headroom to negotiate your own pay.
So if the pay is not up to your 'expectation', what will you do? Will you turn down the job?

i know shell has an entry level salary scale and its non-negotiable, what i just want to know is "how much is it for technical graduates".

I smwhat agree wit u but not totally,nobody will work for free,not even you,i reckon you have a high-paying job,even if it is your fathers company no one will work for the family for free,and the money serves as a form of motivation. If you have two people doing the same work but with different salaries,their output is not likely to be the same. If given a very high salary,you will want to work at your optimum performance so as to justify that salary.
In an ideal situation ppl should do jobs dat they enjoy,dat they have passion for,but still the bottom line is,we are all in it for the money,how good you work wont pay your bills,the money will.
hence its not a crime to inquire about salaries so dat you hav a heads up and so dat you are not short-changed by the organization you are goin to work for.

thank u very much,but i heard it has been modified,i was told srd is d final part,once u pass srd u are employed immediately then u go for sitp for 1 yr. and someone told me the take home is around 600 so i just wanted to confirm.

That's not a good starting point when you want to join a company brov, Please visit Shell website and you will see what they are looking for. Read about CART and check out feedback from recent recruits etc and with positive attitude and confidence I'm sure you will do well.
