Specifically the comparison was the quality of chances created between James and Pogba. James has proven to be the best creator of clear cut chances in United. Those Pogba's long balls na wash. They are difficult to control to start with, unlike James who puts it on the leg of the striker.

Those chance creation stats can be misleading though. They don't tell the full story.
Pogba can play a delightful through ball that puts a forward 1 on 1 with the goal keeper and it'll be termed "one chance created".

A Winger can just get the ball at the byline and whip one random Wan Bissaka like cross and it'll also be termed " one chance created".

If someone dat did not watch the game checks stats now, he might now say Pogba and the winger both had one chance created without considering the type of chance created .

It is easier for an attacker to pad his chance created stat than it is for someone who plays in midfield.
