My brother, get a core i7 with atleast 6th Generation. 7th, 8th or 9th Gens will also give you the best value for money.

I'll also advice you get a Laptop with both SSD and HDD Drives(Hybrid)...SSDs are known to "up" the loading times of applications and are 5 times faster than HDDs

Also try and get atleast a 4GB dedicated graphics even though your budget at present might not fit into this sphere. 4GB will save you a whole lotta hassles e.g a 1050ti can do the work. What I'm basically saying is....a 4GB will handle your tasks seemingly better than a 2GB dedicated...that doesn't mean a 2GB won't also perform some tasks but a 2GB won't run high end video graphics/editing and gaming for you.


As for US used Laptops, I'll advice you to patronise a reputable store. I mean a store you can trust doing business with. A reputable store means you will be given a guarantee and can equally go back there should incase problems arise. I got my US used laptop from a store over a year ago and it has never given me issues aside when I had to replace the screen just last month.

I'll personally advice you get a Hp Omen Laptop...budget might seem a constraint but they are durable and will equally serve you better.

As for buying New vs US/UK used, I'll advice you to just follow your heart. Personally, most of my gadgets have always been US/UK used and I have never for once complained or had issues about them (maybe because I thoroughly inspect them sha) plus i buy from a trusted store or from someone i know/a good referral.

Second hand whether London used or refurbished no good at all for phone don't waste money rather if you don't have the money for the new phone one want save up the money to buy brand new it doesn't matter the months spent to save as long as one gets a phone that will last at least 3 years

Boss, some London used make sense oooo....Just pray you get a good and a trust worthy seller...Some UK Used phones are top notch and will also save you cost

So a London used phone might still be good as new but refurbished will have had some changes in the hardware

Bro, if it's the background light that's because the screen must have been fixed or replaced...some, you might not tell...some might just be speaker defects and it's parts replaced to become refurbished

If you have the mind for it you can try importing the glass kit(comes with everything you need to successfully replace a screen including a YouTube video)from Ali Express for less than 15k then make sure you do your research on YouTube about how to carefully removing the screen without damaging the phone.

NB: Not too sure if this is feasible because of the under display fingerprint scanner, but after a search on aliexpress there were quotations for s10+ glass kit.

It's possible...there is a special equipment for separation and most of these Nigerian phone engineers do not have it hence the extortion

Should be around 60k,but I doubt they can change the glass without the screen though, Samsung are making their devices very difficult to repair.

There is now a way the most of these screens are separated from their glasses it's just that most repairs do not have the equipment for separation so they assume it can't be separated. Go on youtube
