Politics › Re: The Unofficial Results Of The Annulled June 12 1993 Election by three: 7:57am On Jun 12, 2018
.

As directed by the Senate, the results should be released forthwith so that Abiola can be declared the winner of the election and take his place as President-Elect.

He unfortunately CANNOT be sworn in and unfortunately CANNOT be a 'former president'.

But the declaration of results and designation as President elect should suffice!

Travel › Re: Osun N69bn MKO Abiola International Airport: Untold Story Of A Promising Project by three: 7:45am On Jun 12, 2018
Really?

This is a Sad joke! The so-called progressive APC government is built on a template of flawed and corruptly devised PPP (Public Private Procurement).

PPPs are desirous because they enable the governor's to flout established Public Procurement Laws especially with regard to

1. Technical Qualification of Contractors as well as previous track record and financials.
2. Invitation to Bid
3. Open and COMPETITIVE bidding process

With PPP the governor's skip all this and are able to award contracts to their cronies! The bigger the contract the better! The projects are launched with much fanfare and propaganda only to fail later on with a so-called mobilisation fee in excess sometimes of 60% of the whole cost of the contract!

Who are these companies that keep getting PPPs in APC controlled states?
What is their track record?
How much did the contract cost?
How was the cost arrived at?

It is refreshing to see artistes and comedians etc show their displeasure or approval of persons in office, particularly from a (hopefully) non-partisan point of view.

It is possible to be non-partisan, people have a right to be so called fencists.

People also have a legitimate right to be partisan - artistes, comedians etc included.....

Just as long as there is no pretense and double speak.

Say what you really mean with your chest.

Nigeria will be better for it.

There are two sides to the Nigerian story for everyone, one side is perception of what has so far transpired, the other is the reality of what has so far transpired.

Many settle for the former

You mean Buhari couldn't advice Abacha against jailing Abiola, killing Saro-Wiwa, murdering Kudirat and still served in his government and STILL loves Abacha but GCFR and democracy day now makes him a democrat.
