First off,

PARTS of Jada were in British Cameroon, PARTS.

A map of the old British Cameroon and Nigeria shows this clearly.

Second,

The 1999 admits all laws and decrees (barring annulment/reenactment by Parliament/National Assembly) in previous constitutions prior to it as legacy constituents of the 1999 constitution

The 1963 constitution therefore is part of the 1999 constitution.

The 1963 constitution adopts the plebiscite held and passes citizenship by birth on all citizens of the former territories of British Cameroon that joined Nigeria.

lezan:
You need to go read the constitution and understand it before you come online.
It’s stated in there that all born within the territory called Nigeria before independence and those whose parents or grand parents are born within the same territory before independence are Nigerians. Then come those born After October 1st and for those born outside Nigeria after October 1st they must have a parent who is a Nigerian.

Now to the question at hand... I respect Nnamdi Kanu for this cause he made a very salient point that only the court can determine which the constitution didn’t envisage as at the time of its draft.

Let the court decides!!!

This constitution?

http://www.nigeria-law.org/ConstitutionOfTheFederalRepublicOfNigeria.htm#Chapter_3

The one that guarantees citizenship BY BIRTH to anyone who has at least one grandparent born in the geographical territory of Nigeria?

This implies that literally EVERYONE who themselves were born in Nigeria are doubly guaranteed citizenship by birth by virtue of having A PARENT OR GRAND PARENT who was also born in Nigeria.

It is common knowledge that Atiku's grandfather comes from Sokoto

This is a 2014 interview where he states this -

IF (and I posit this strictly as hypothesis) those born in Northern Cameroon prior to the 1963 plebiscite are NOT Nigerians by BIRTH then,

WHAT is the legal status of persons born IN (1) Lagos COLONY, (2) Northern Protectorate and (3) Southern Protectorate PRIOR to sovereignty of the geographical area designated as Nigeria in October 1 1960

Awolowo was not Nigerian
Azikiwe was not Nigerian
Balewa was not Nigerian
Buhari is not a Nigerian (dat one sef)

ONLY persons born after October 1 1960 are Nigerians

18 months into Buhari's tenure and it was as clear as noon day that not only were he and APC bereft of a modicum of administrative acumen they also were unrepentant deceivers and malevolent individuals.

Nigerians in their accomodating nature opined that they would wait till 2019 to vote him out and literally gifted Buhari and the APC 30 months to prepare not to be voted out.

Beyond the thousands of paid social media handles, disastrously and unconscionably compromised civil society groups Nigerians were guided into 2019 with a narrative that suggested Buhari and the APC were at work and taking Nigeria to the Next Level.

IF only they had paid as much attention to actual governance they wouldn't have needed to spend more than a billion Naira to campaign nationwide and they would have trounced PDP.

Why people get to power, do absolutely nothing tangible, betray the people's trust and REFUSE to concede to free and fair elections that would see them voted out (having enjoyed the perks of office for 4 years) only to bully themselves back into power by hook and crook to continue to do nothing but impoverish and divide the citizenry (and loot stupidly) is ALMOST beyond me.

sad sad sad

.

This is embarrassingly flawed!

Did Onnoghen declare his assets in 2016 according to the guidelines which state that an official when informed of noncompliance is allowed to fulfil compliance?

Yes

Did the Code of Conduct Bureau verify Onnoghen's declaration?

No, the evidence abundantly states that they indeed have not.

How do you then try a man for non declaration of assets that have not been verified? (whether what he declared is his or whether he has property which he did not declare in the forms)

In dismissing the no case submission the tribunal has graciously shown the world that it is compromised.

How do the Judges ASSUME contrary to evidence presented before the tribunal, that the non verification is due to break down in internal communication. (judges are NEVER expected to assume)

Did any of the witnesses state that the verification was complete?

No.

Did any of the witnesses state the this was due to breakdown in internal communication?

No.

How did the tribunal reach this determination that was not sought? Do they work with the investigators?

HABIT EATS STRATEGY FOR BREAKFAST ~ Paul Drucker

The point here is that there is an overabundant body of evidence that proves NNPC has been and still is a waste pipe of gargantuan and morally reprehensible proportions.

Those in charge when threatened with a cessation of this fantabulous looting spree resorted to manipulating the populace with deep seated sentimentality.

People were told that an allegedly corrupt Atiku was planning to sell NNPC to his friends and they went gaga.

Habit eats strategy for breakfast.

No right thinking morally upstanding individual will support NNPC in its current manifestation.

It is the personification of Institutionalised fraud.

Incidentally, this same NNPC preempted the Fuel subsidy riots of 2012.

As at today NNPC since 2016 is paying N774million in 'underrecovery'.

Think about that!

EVERY local government could have theoretically received N1million daily since 2016.

Thats how BIG the fraud is!

But it is selling NNPC that is the problem.

We learnt nothing from the fuel subsidy riots and protests.

People including Mr Tolu Ogunlesi who conveniently now works for the current government came out to say they would rather have Nigeria continue to pay fraudulent subsidies because they did not trust Goodluck Jonathan.

Besides taking an inordinate amount of time to complete, detailed comparison below shows that the cost of the Lagos Blue Line Project was misrepresented to the Public as $1.2Billion when the actual cost was RMB 1.2Billion (equivalent to $181m).

The contractor provided this figure in their 2010 annual report.

Where did 1 Billion Dollars go?

[meanwhile if you'd like to prove further Google Section CTW400 of the Saudi Arabia North-South (RMB 1Billion) and the Hong-Kong section of the Gwangzhou-Shenzen-Hong-Kong Railway (RMB 1.17Billion) to compare what physical value these countries got for their money!]

Politics / Re: See Number Of Inconclusive Elections Between May 1999 & April 2015 by three: 5:03pm On Mar 12, 2019
StOla:
To those of us who understand electoral laws, we know that elections are inconclusive because they do not meet up with the requirement to be declared conclusive.

I will urge the OP to use this thread to educate political illiterates on the conditions outlined in the electoral law, that need to be met before an election can be conclusive, for which the inability to meet such conditions would make an election inconclusive.

A lot of people need to be educated.

By the way, the very first inconclusive election, was Ngige vs Akunyili, for the Senate seat from Anambra in 2011.

The next was in Kogi 2016, when Abubakar Audu of APC was leading the PDP with an almost unassailable gap, but INEC declared it inconclusive as the cancelled votes was still beyond the huge margin. An already ill Audu died of heart attack upon hearing INEC's decision.

In summary, if the margin between the leading candidate and the next is less than the number of cancelled votes the election is so called declared inconclusive.

However,

Beyond the reality of politicians deliberately sponsoring violence in key polling units in order to trigger this clause, a major controversial point is the ambiguity in actual potential vote - viz actual voter turnout vs number of registered voters at the polling unit.

I reiterate, cancellations of polls by INEC since 2015 is premeditated and preempts the outcome if not favourable.

Refineries selling fuel at N103/litre Mafia living off Nigeria’s pipeline By Udeme Akpan, Michael Eboh, Ediri Ejoh & Prince Okafor Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, yesterday, disclosed that it had been mandated by National Executive Council, NEC, to work with the Ministry of Finance to determine the actual daily consumption of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, also known as petrol, in the country. The NNPC also stated that irrespective of the current high cost of fuel import, the country’s refineries were currently selling PMS at N103 per litre. Speaking at Nigerian Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition in Abuja, Chief Operating Officer, Downstream of the NNPC, Mr. Henry Obih, also stated that the NNPC was partnering with the World Bank to progress in a study on Nigeria’s actual consumption. NNPC Obih, who was responding to questions on Nigeria’s current daily fuel consumption figure, noted that the country’s daily fuel consumption was currently not known because of a number of factors, ranging from smuggling to the various consumption pattern of the commodity among Nigerians. He said: “We are presently in a joint project with the Federal Ministry of Finance. We are doing a study around consumption, to determine the actual consumption by the people. We have to determine what we call the daily load out or the evacuation, as against the actual consumption; what people go to the pump everyday to buy for their cars, for their generators at home and for other uses of PMS.” However, he stated that in terms of daily truck out from depots around the country and in terms of the records of the Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency and the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, the NNPC trucked out 48 million litres daily in 2016 and 50 million litres in 2017. Obih said: “This is why the National Economic Council has mandated that we work with the Federal Ministry of Finance. We also have meeting with the World Bank about six weeks ago, and we are trying to progress in a global study that would help us get around the actual numbers of what we consume in Nigeria. “But again, one significant challenge is the fact that we have cross-border smuggling. Nigeria remains the cheapest source of PMS in the West African sub-region. All our neighbouring countries are selling at over 200 per cent high of the price that we pay at the pump.” Obih further lamented that there is a mafia living and feeding on a critical segment of the country’s pipeline network, noting, however, that the NNPC was investing in the repair of major pipeline across the country. He said: “We have challenges in the pipelines that run through land, specifically, the System 2B for instance; the one that runs around Lagos. It remains a big challenge, because there is a mafia that lives and feeds on those pipelines.” Refineries’ ex-depot price Also speaking, Chief Executive Officer, Downstream, Mr. Anibor Kragha, stated that the country’s refineries were currently producing, though in little quantity, noting that the ex-depot price for products from the refineries stood at N103 per litre. He also stated that the NNPC had held discussions with global energy information company, Platts, with the latter hinting that when Nigeria’s refineries as well as the private refineries come on stream, it would develop a West African Refining Pricing for products coming from the region. JV cash call payments He said: “What is heartening this year is that we can, at least say that in a couple of the areas, we can see attempt to address them. For as long as I have been in this industry, we have been discussing cash call as a never-ending issue. “I think we were able to sit down together as an industry and government to try and tackle that issue and we should not underrate the importance of that. “What is of significant today is that argument is off the table. For the first time, we finished a year without NNPC owing cash calls. That just essentially opens up the appetite.” “What that has done is that it opens up the appetite to have a conversation about investment. Nigeria is competing for capital with every other country in the world and sometimes we forget that and think that we are world unto ourselves, but the reality is that each of these companies operate in 20, 30, 80 countries and people are competing for capital. “The whole JV process, we all need to put our hands on the plough to ensure it does not derail. We cannot take it for granted that we have a funding structure that works and assume it will continue to work.”
