. OSUN STATE FINANCES ARE IN A MESS!!! Under Aregbesola the state has been heavily indebted with nothing to show for it. Do you know why they fought tooth and nail to retain Osun State in spite of its financial poverty? APC (especially the South-West ACN group) operate a debt industry. They OWN the alleged debt. They make a state take loans from a syndicate and the state MUST pay back. If another party gets into power this arrangement will be frustrated and their monthly returns stopped. Example: A contract costs N1B, they inflate to N6B then take a syndicated loan. Due to the scale of funds the state and FG guarantee payment from source. The state now has to pay back N6B. They pocket the difference. Simple. Same situation in Lagos, most of the debt Lagos owes is to syndicates controlled by the politicians.
