Romance / According To Research If You Want A Happy Lasting Relationship Do These Things by Tianahsblog: 10:44am On Nov 21, 2016
Am I the only one tired of seeing failed relationships and marriages? I hope not!! I thought the vow read "till death do us part". I know this is stale news but when I saw the bradangelina divorce news I was sincerely bothered, honestly I could have sworn that their marriage would last forever, guess I was wrong.

The rate at which relationships are springing up and burning out is actually alarming, people are literally rushing into relationships and running out in drones.
The rate of divorces are increasing exponentially making marriage seem a little bit scary to the unmarried folks.

Thankfully, there are a number of great Marriages that just reek of bliss and love and one is forced to wonder what the secret is.
Hollywood as well as Nollywood is teeming with divorce cases so being extremely beautiful or awfully rich is definitely not the solution.

I decided to embark on some research and here are a few things I found out as secrets to long lasting relationships and a Happy marriage. (from the horses mouth actually)

1. Kindness : when we talk about kindness the first thing that Springs to most people's mind is "money". Well kindness in this sense is not really about giving money or gifts, it's more about care, genuine and undefiled care for the person with whom you have made a decision to Share your life with. Being able to enjoy their happy moments and also share their pain, no matter how trivial it seems , this makes for a better relationship according to researchers. Let's call it being supportive. you know how you should be his or her number one fan? Ya that's what we mean.

2. Respecting each others space : people will always love to have their personal space it doesn't matter how close to them you are, even if the two of you are a pea in a pod, they will always want to have their "me" time. It's just normal. This is also another important factor that researchers have found necessary for the attainment of a healthy happy relationship /marriage. Allow your partner to breathe, don't be a needy slash over dependent partner.

3. Avoid third parties : I would like to believe that third party intervention has become extinct and hopefully people have learnt how devastating allowing third parties can be, especially after the tiwa savage and tee blizz ordeal where they decided to spill their marriage secrets to us all and turn us into a panel of judges, opinions were just flying from one end of the street to another and am thinking "you don't want that" . Point is if you have issues avoid involving people, except of course a counselor.

4. DON'T CRITICIZE : I really don't know how people who criticize others sleep at night. constructive criticism is good but it still should be put in check. As a partner you are a support system so it would help your partner a lot more if you say more positive things, things that will build them up and not tear them down. No one is asking you to lie or not to make suggestions where necessary, but trust me even corrections can be done nicely, with a warm smile and a pat on the back.

5. PRAY : a family that prays together stays together. Tested and proved. It's really inexplicable how this formula really works but it never disappoints. The power of a praying couple knows no bounds.

Health / Habits That Make You Age Faster by Tianahsblog: 10:34am On Nov 21, 2016
Aging is an inevitable part of life, no matter what we do or don't do we cannot stop what time will do to our bodies, We are all going to get old, as long as we live.
Nevertheless aging should come naturally, it should not be induced or hastened by bad habits.

1. PRESSING YOUR FACE AGAINST A PILLOW : if you are used to sleeping with your face smashed into the pillow, u need to stop, so as to avoid causing trauma to your skin. According to dermatologists
Over time, this trauma, aggravated by the friction of a cotton pillowcase, can cause permanent damage to your skin. So Sleep on your back to stay younger-looking, or use a satin pillowcase to minimize the friction.

2. UNFORGIVENESS : it is true that the state of your mind can affect your body positively or negatively. If you are one of those people who find it hard to forgive and let bygones be bygones you might end up aging faster than you should. Researchers have found a link between unforgiveness and physical health, so let go and live longer.

3. SMOKING : I am sure you have heard time and again how smoking is bad for your health such that it has become cliché. The fact remains that smoking is a bad habit and it can cause a lot of damage to your body, some of which include cancer, dementia, heart disease and premature death.

4. STAYING UP LATE : Staying up late is also on the list of bad habits. I know it's fun but it has its downsides, burning the midnight oil can make you look older as you age. Beauty sleep is not just an old wives' tale. “Sleep deprivation causes bags under the eyes and droopy, tired eyelids and pallor

5.DRINKING :studies have shown that alcoholic-dependent men have a nearly twofold higher risk of dying earlier than the average male. Excess alcohol can lead to heart failure and high blood pressure as well as cirrhosis of the liver and weight gain.

Politics / Three Nigerian Awards :the Best, Worst And Weirdest Things We've Seen In 2016 by Tianahsblog: 10:17am On Nov 21, 2016
Boy! What a year it has been, still got a few days left, but I think we can start counting our gains and losses, as a nation.

This year just like those before it, has been filled with so many events. For us Nigerians this year has been "some-een". in the wake of it, we had the tomatoes ebola crisis, the price of tomatoes was competing with the cost of land in some parts of the country. while we were still trying to shake ourselves from the mess it left us in, the recession became alive and real, as in so real, you could feel it with your bare hands .
Don't even get me started on the dollar and how it has been rising constantly and mercilessly.

For me though, some things stood out.
So here's to the best, worst and weirdest Nigerian events in 2016.

THE WORST : When you have two pieces of information one good and the other bad it's always better to start with the bad and end with the good. So the award for the worst thing that happened in Nigeria this year goes to "MISS ANAMBRA chidinma okeke and the leaked tape drama". It was definitely terrible, a complete show of shame, and I don't know what posterity would do to erase the memory from our minds and restore to her the dignity that she had so carelessly messed up. Queens are supposed to be epitomes of beauty, integrity and poise, at least that's what we are made to understand, so, for a reigning queen to allow herself to be caught in such a dirty scandal during her reign, leaves much to be desired.

2:THE WEIRDEST: for me, the weirdest thing that happened this year will be the public exchange between president Buhari and his wife Aisha and the issue of "the other room" . It really took me a while to believe they actually made those statements before the whole world. I know public figures always try to keep it all together, no matter how much tension Is hidden behind the curtains. But like we all know, our beloved first lady and head of state don't do the conventional. So they decided to blow their tops, while we stood and watched.

3:THE BEST : still seems too good to be true.
I am not a mathematician or a scientist so I can't explain how it works. Truth is MMM is the best thing that happened to Nigerians this year. I have met so many people who have started living better lives since the advent of
the "money making machine" like it's popular called,. No stress, no delay, no long Story. It just follows the simple principle of give and it shall be given unto you.

You can use the comment box, in your opinion, what's the best, worst and weirdest thing that happened this year to you or in your country?

Webmasters / Five Things Every Intending Blogger Need's To Know by Tianahsblog: 1:37pm On Oct 31, 2016
Sometime ago someone made a statement that I found very amusing, she said "it seems like every time someone sneezes a new blog is created". It was funny but it's actually true. blogs are popping up every day, a lot of people are venturing into the blogging field, it's not bad at all, in fact it's actually one of the most rewarding things you can do with your life, but many of these websites don't stand the test of time because they go into it for the wrong reasons and before long they get tired and give up.

They say "to be forewarned Is to be fore-armed. So here are a few things you need to know before undertaking a career in blogging.
First of all, Running a blog is hard, it's as hard as running any other business, it is time consuming, life- draining, money-demanding and exhausting, but with grit, determination and passion it'll be totally worth it in the end.
After blogging for almost a year now I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience, there are so many things I have been disillusioned about and a couple of other things I have been very encouraged and propelled by.

Things you need to know before venturing.

1. CONSTANT DATA SUPPLY: i really didn't know how to title this but, I think it's clear already. As a blogger you can't really afford to run of data supply, you will have to always be online. Yes, telecommunications people will make a lot of money from you.
There are days when I genuinely just want to go offline and stay away from social media and just concentrate on interacting with people in the real world, but at such times I am constantly reminded that if I don’t want cobwebs and roaches to take over this space I need to be online and keep pruning and updating it regularly regardless of how I feel.

2. TRAFFIC : no body is going to tell you that buying a website, creating an awesome blog post and clicking publish will not automatically Bring readers. Hell no!!! after all that hard work, you are still going to lure people to read your content. you're going to become a social media junkie who needs to be on almost every platform, and you are going to keep your ears down for the latest. After publishing a post you will need to share it on every social media platform and you will need to keep sharing, you will also spend a lot of money running ads just like "" is doing, aggressively, just to get people to read your post. what do you expect when there are a million other blogs out there.

3. BLOG TOPIC : if you are not a gossip, news or entertainment blogger, there will be days when you will have no idea what to write about. Your supply of blog topics will literally run dry and you will start looking around for the slightest inspiration from everyone and everything. On days like that you will feel like giving up but if you started out for the right reasons, it will help you when the chips are down.

4. TIME : creating a blog post takes time. running a blog will take a considerable amount of your time, in fact if you are not very careful you could spend whole days creating just one post. For me, it's my nights that suffer, I spend countless hours at night trying to create relevant content for my blog. I get bulgy eyed and really sleepy but I keep typing. I signed up for it.

5. MONEY DOESNT COME QUICKLY : if your sole objective of starting a blog is to make money, please begin to consider other options because you might end up like one of those bloggers who start up with fervency and in no time their blogs die off because they got disappointed. They can't understand how Linda ikeji does it, well they forgot to ask Linda ikeji and sisi yemie how long it took before they started smiling to the bank.
Making money through blogging is a reality but it takes patience and time.
