Elder Obawusi Obafemi lamenting sate of the nation today listed the structures PDP set up which he says profited the generality of Nigerians. He said he had hoped things will be better with the 'change' the ruling APC promised but only to see the alleged destruction which APC says PDP has done to Nigeria much better than this government being run by a cast of neophyte actors. IF PDP DESTROYED NIGERIA BUT; 1. They were able to pay N18,000 minimum wage, you threaten to reduce staff or slash salaries in order to punish the masses. 2. They were able to construct roads without toll gates, you promise to introduce toll gates to squeeze out money from the masses to repair and construct roads. 3. They introduced TSA which you directly adopted yet you applied the wrong method and started eating the yams you gathered while the masses suffer. 4. They influenced foreign investors into the country with their policies, but you came and with your mouth and lack of direction drove investors out of the country and the masses suffer 5. They established EFCC which you are now using as if you were the one that established it in order to pursue the 5% constituency 6. They almost eradicated Boko Haram who are now having field's day in your regime killing soldiers and capturing weapons and the masses suffer 7. They revived the rail system which you are going about begging China to invest in and continue. Yet you said they destroyed the country. Today without fuel, the masses suffer 8. They rehabilitated and constructed roads which you haven't done even a kilometer and the masses suffer 9. They eradicated fertilizers distribution middlemanship scam which is now existing in your regime and the masses suffer 10. They built universities, and other schools which apart from education, increased employment which you can't do. And the masses suffer 11. They upgraded some COE and other higher institutions into Universities which you reverted back and the masses suffer 12. They built IPPs and dams which you were going about commissioning without any plans to construct more but to destroy and probe while the masses suffer 13. They gave FOI and you are taking away press freedom and indirectly introducing your decree 4. And the masses suffers 14. They had 10 presidential jets which you are still enjoying far more than any other president with increased maintenance cost and the masses suffers 15. They created employment, you are sacking employed citizens and the masses suffer 16. In their time, Nigeria was among the fastest growing economy. In your regime Nigeria is the worse economy and the people suffers 17. Nigeria was making great foreign exchange from cassava, cocoa and other agricultural produce but now everybody is waiting for your non forthcoming policies and the masses suffers 18. Federal civil servants salaries were paid within the same month but now, if it's paid in 60 days, it will be announced as achievement and the masses suffers 19. Youths and women have increased numbers participation in governance but today, the government is for the aged and weak and the people suffer 20. Fuel was available at stable price but today, it's different even after money has been paid to subsidy cabal the masses suffers 21. Christmas period that prices of commodities were supposed to go up, came down in their regime but today things are 40% costlier and the masses pay for it dearly 22. Paying fees abroad was smooth but today, students are driven out of school because of government restrictions the masses suffers 23. The airports were made better which you enjoy yet you said PDP destroyed the country 24. Abuja is brought to its present state by this same PDP, I wish this old man could pick another village and develop it like Abuja. Etc. Yet, he and his people keep replaying the programmed statement '16 years of PDP misrule.......' Just last week I placed an advert for an Office Assistant for 3 days with WAEC as a maximum qualification but received over 20 application letters all with OND ready to receive the salary scale of a WAEC holder just because there is no job. Yet, he and his supporters who could not realize that 75% of their governors and other officials are the PDP they said destroyed the country. Meanwhile, all their actions today are centred on PDP policies and developmental actions. A time shall come when the reality these guys are dodging will catch up with them all, like always, we will be ready for their next line of blames. |

ENUGU – Following ground swell protests at Ontisha, Anambra State and other states of the south-east geopolitical zone staged by members of the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, and the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, last Tuesday, calling on the Federal Government to release their detained leader, Nnamdi Kanu, the two pro- Biafra groups, Wednesday, disassociated selves from acts of arson and violence that culminated in the razing down of Onitsha Central Mosque and burning of some vehicles. This came as the Inspector General of Police,Solomon Arase, warned that the Nigerian Police Force, NPF, will henceforth, arrest and prosecute persons found to be engaged in the breakdown of law and order by way of protests, especially in the old eastern region. It would recalled that over 40,000 members and sympathizers of MASSOB and IPOB, had last Tuesday, shut down commercial and business activities in the south-east geopolitical zone in an avowed stance for the creation of the sovereign State of Biafra hinged on perceived injustice, marginalization and neglect meted to the people of the region. In a statement made available to newsmen by MASSOB Acting Leader, Uchenna Madu which reads in part,”the setting of Ontisha Central Mosque, vehicles ablaze and making of burning fires which depicts violence are not done by the members of IPOB or MASSOB under my leadership. “This unwarranted acts of violence are perfected by hoodlums sponsored by agents of the Federal Government to create impression that non violence and peaceful pro-Biafra group have turned violent on our agitation for Biafra. Our oppressors are no longer comfortable. There is no evidence of terrorism in our protest. How can we now resort to violence now that we’re told that the presidency is about negotiating with leaders of pro-Biafra group? “With today’s killing of our members and injuring many with bullet shots,we are no longer comfortable with the presidency’s move for dialogue. Federal Government move for dialogue is hypocritical and deceitful. Any Igbo group, organization and persons negotiating, meeting or dialoguing with the presidency on our behalf without our consent or mandate should stop now. “MASSOB led by Uchenna Madu and IPOB led by Nnamdi Kanu have never mandated any person to negotiate for us. Even in this persecution, arrest, killings, clampdown, suppression against us by Nigeria Government,we shall continue and intensify our non violence agitation for Biafra. For Nigeria to release their Armed Forces against non violence, defenseless Biafra agitators shows their wickedness and the devilish mind of President Muhammad Buhari against our people. http://scannewsnigeria.com/news/burning-of-onitsha-mosque-was-carried-by-agents-of-federal-government-to-provoke-violence-say-massob-ipob/ |

Youths wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have come out to warn President Muhammadu Buhari and othet leaders of the party to put and end to the act of used and dumped of the youths, saying the era is over. The visibly angry youths led by the national youth leader of the party, Hon. Ibrahim Dasuki Jalo, asked the President to avail youths the opportunity to occupy leadership positions in his government The APC youth leader was speaking on Thursday in Abuja at a workshop organised for the APC youth by his office in collaboration with the International Republican Institute (IRI), with the theme: ”the role of youths in post-election era.” Jalo said: “There is this saying that the youth are leaders of tomorrow but in Nigeria today, the tomorrow seems endless. After all we are leaders of today not tomorrow because we have waited long enough and this tomorrow remains an elusive business. ”It is my opinion that the young people be given the opportunity to serve in leadership positions especially by this government because of the role they played in ensuring victory during the last election. Yet the young people are clouded, therefore the imbalance needs to be corrected,” he said. The youth leader said the workshop sought to proffer solutions on how the youth can leave the realm of ”active spectators to active players”. http://www.weeklypostng.com/2015/11/apc-youths-to-buhari-you-cant-use-and.html?utm_source=&utm_medium=facebook&m=1

A former Minister of Education, Mrs. Obiageli Ezekwesili, said on Tuesday that Nigerian citizens were losing huge productivity hours to find and buy fuel products. A situation, she said, was inconsistent with Nigeria’s desire to improve efficiency. She also lamented that Nigeria squandered the opportunity to build its reserve and Excess Crude Account to close to $100 billion. Ezekwesili in several tweets said it was shameful to see people who oversaw and supported the depletion of Nigeria’s huge oil reserves for six years walking freely. Her tweets read: “The tragic thing is seeing people who oversaw or supported the depletion of huge revenues in six years stumping around. #GetShamePeople. “What a HUGE DIFFERENCE, had Nigeria BUILT UP RESERVE including Excess Crude of say $100billion as should have been! SQUANDERED OPPORTUNITY.” She said most citizens do not want “endemically corrupted” oil subsidy scheme to continue, adding that the Federal Government must convince Nigerians with credible sector reform plan. The former minister added that President Muhammadu Buhari must make hard choices to address fuel scarcity in the country. http://www.thetrentonline.com/buhari-wake-fuel-scarcity-reducing-productivity-oby-ezekwesili/ |
