Good Afternoon Guys, This is a really nice thread. Very helpful. I had my interview on 8th of June. I am going on Erasmus Scholarship so I wasn't really interviewed. I just submitted my documents and passport. I got my AM today - 11th of July. Thanks to everyone that helped in one way or the other. I'm grateful. Also, I want to ask, the AM said I should send Passport and Travel insurance. I have my insurance but the embassy has my passport already. Should I just send my travel insurance and indicate it in a writing that they have my passport already, or I should just send the insurance only like that? Thank you. |
solastar2:Yeah. So sorry bro. God go open way for you soon. |
WhyNa:I got AMASE, FAME and now CNE. But I think I'm going for FAME. |
CNE guys. How far? I just got a mail from them oh. I've been picked. Anybody else on the main list? Or reserve list? Cos I'll be rejecting the offer. I'm going for another one. |
Good morning guys, please why mailing the embassy for appointment, is it okay if I tell them to help me fix the appointment for a Monday? |
TimationMARZ:Abeg oh |
Good evening guys, Please I'm planning on booking an appointment soon. But I need clarity on an issue. I'm most times busy at work and I have a strict boss. I can only get the chance to go for the interview on Mondays. While sending the mail to the embassy, can I tell them to help me fix the appointment on a Monday ? Anyone done this before? |
Pakistanis really came prepared for Erasmus Mundus. But I'm so sure that there are Nigerians that are more than eligible self. I don't know why the scholarship is not that popular in Nigeria. |

Good morning guys. Please I need clarification on this. Is it a must to go with Transcripts while going for the Interview? And if it is a must, since the school won't hand over official transcript to me. Can I send it to the embassy and tell the V.O that I have sent the transcript to them?. Has anybody done this before and it worked? Or is it a must I look for a way to get the official transcript in my hand? |

Akwe Doma is standing trial alongside former secretary to the state Timothy Anjide and Dauda Egwa, former accountant generalon a 10-count charge bordering on money laundering and financial crimes preferred against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Akwe Doma is standing trial alongside former secretary to the state Timothy Anjide and Dauda Egwa, former accountant generalon a 10-count charge bordering on money laundering and financial crimes preferred against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. The accused persons allegedly between January 2007 and December 2009 conspired and fraudulently laundered state funds to tune of N8bn; an offence contrary to section 14(1)(a) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act 2004 and punishable under section 14(1) of the same Act Answering questions under cross examination, Katsa stated that, “special releases are referred to as undisclosed security payment because those payments were not made to them in the account department and I don’t know why it is so”. The witness told the court that, he was not privy to the deliberations and decisions of Nasarawa State Security Council and he did not know if the members of Nasarawa State Security council were the only body responsible to know the specific security challenges that warranted special security disbursement. “All I know is that, release for special security disbursement are budgeted by the House of Assembly”, Katsa told the court. According to him, he did not understand any implication of approval of security expenditure by Nasarawa House of Assembly as all approval by the House are budget proposal submitted by ministries, agencies and departments. The former finance director further told the court that, he had a duty to report the alleged breach by the secretary to the state government as a result of which he said, a verbal report about the release of funds was made to the Accountant General of the State which was reflected in the annual report. While the cross examination was going on, the defence team lead by Charles Edonsanwan, SAN, paused to seek for adjournment on two grounds:one, to enable the defence to procure the remaining documents as specified in the subpoena in line with the promise of the officials of Nasarawa State to produce the remaining documents. Two, the defendant needed the document to cross examine the witness. Justice Okeke adjourned to February 8-11, 2016 for continuation of trial. Meanwhile, the court also granted the prayer of Akwe Doma’s counsel seeking the release of the former governor’s international passport to enable him travel abroad for medicals. Sambo Dasuki, former national security adviser, received an extra-budgetary allocation of $2.1 billion from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) within nine months after approvals by former President Goodluck Jonathan, TheCable can report. Dasuki is currently being investigated by the federal government over the billions of dollars released for the procurement of arms for counter- terrorism operations under Jonathan. Documents seen by TheCable showed the breakdown of NNPC’s disbursements to the office of the NSA as follows: $1 billion on March 27, 2014; $200 million on April 9, 2014; $600 million on May 5, 2014; and, same day, $200 million following a request for $250 million. The documents also showed that on January 12, 2015, he got $100 million, bringing the total amount his office received from the NNPC to $2.1 billion within the nine months. All these were outside the statutory budgetary allocations to security during the same period, in addition to another $1 billion loan secured by the Jonathan administration to fight Boko Haram. President Muhammadu Buhari recently ordered the arrest of Dasuki for awarding “fictitious contracts” in excess of N300 billion while he was NSA. It is believed that the arms and ammunition were either not purchased at all or that substandard ones were procured instead, reportedly leading to the death of many Nigerian soldiers in the hands of the better-equipped Boko Haram insurgents. There were various media reports, both local and foreign, quoting unnamed Nigerian soldiers complaining about inadequate arms as well as poor welfare in the counter-terrorism war. Thousands of soldiers deserted the military and those who refused to fight were court-martialed and jailed or sentenced to death. TheCable can report, however, that Jonathan approved all the disbursements by NNPC, with his senior special assistant on administrative matters, Matt Aikhionbere, writing the covering letters conveying presidential consent to the corporation after the president had minuted on Dasuki’s requests. Jonathan further approved that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) should give Dasuki N40 billion following another extra-budgetary request. This was after the removal of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the central bank governor in 2014. Dasuki had written to the then acting governor, Sarah Alade, requesting for N60 billion, but she did not act on the request, reportedly because the president was not copied and there was no presidential approval. Following the appointment of Godwin Emefiele as governor in June 2014, Dasuki re-presented his request but Emefiele too did not act on it because of procedural concerns. However, Dasuki sent another request, this time copying Jonathan, who — TheCable understands — now sat the two men together and instructed that the bank should give N40 billion to Dasuki and another N20 billion to the Department of State Services (DSS), although there was no prior request from the department. It is believed in security circles that the N20 billion went to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the former president’s party, apparently to finance the 2015 electioneering. There was a slight twist in the story after the 2015 general election when a senator got wind of the N60 billion expenditure and tried to blackmail Emefiele, demanding N5 billion in order to keep it away from public scrutiny. Emefiele reportedly resisted the pressure from the senator, insisting that he acted based on a presidential order. The senator is now a principal officer of the national assembly against the wishes of Buhari, who was made aware of the blackmail in May before he was sworn in as president. TheCable could not confirm if Emefiele eventually paid anything to the senator.
