What you're trying to say is that when you were arguing balance with airmark it was just those responsible for stopping goals (defenders) and those responsible for scoring goals (attackers). What about the midfielders i.e those responsible for connecting the attackers and the defenders.

Of course if you can't keep the ball, you're always going to invite pressure to your defense. Aside Caicedo, It's clear that we dont have elite midfielders who can keep the ball or win it back.

When you preach balance, you must talk about a balanced midfield, attack and defense. It cant be just attack and defense, that's imbalance. It's not one or the other. The three must work in tandem.
