Out of the 4 semi finalists, those teams that played 8 matches, the lowest scoring team won the trophy. Guess what? The team that conceded lowest won the trophy. Infact the two highest scoring teams was dragging 3rd and 4th place.


France scored 20 goals, conceded 10 goals

England scored 20 goals, conceded 12 goals

Argentina scored 19 goals, conceded 8 goals

Spain scored 14 goals, conceded 1 goal

France scored 4 goals and still lost but Spain needed to score just one goal to win.
