Hi op,

You can do this with ease. A friend of mine got his HND converted to B.Sc in the space of 1 month in a legal, recognised and accredited university in Republic of Benin.

I can help you the way I helped my friend and he is planning running his masters abroad. I have a thread on NL.

Click the link below for some of my posts on NL:

Good luck.

Ephraimspy:
Thanks for your opening my topic and I believe my help has come! Now straight to the matter;

I have H.N.D with CGPA 2.78 whereas my N.D was 3.10 both in Mechanical Engineering (production option).

I have taken IELTS exam and passed it.

I have about 5 years working experience in my field (I have been employed since after my ND in 2010)

My question is, I have a chance to do my PGD in Nigeria with my CGPA in a Nigerian university (Michael Opkara University Of Agriculture is taking CGPA from 60%, mine is 69%) upon successful completion, CAN THE PGD GUARANTEE ME DIRECT ENTRY TO MASTERS COURSE ABROAD?
again,

I have currently met entry requirements for Degree course with my N.D (3.10) somehwere in Germany, is it wise to start afresh with my N.D and complete a university degree abroad then forge ahead from there?

Thirdly and most importantly, does anyone have any link or suggestion of schools abroad (Europe, Canada, America, Australia) where I can possibly do my PDG and forge ahead with my Msc afterwards?

I need your candid advise this time because I never had it earlier when I got admitted in UNN for Electrical Engineering 2007 but ditched it for the love of Mechanical Engineering without knowing HND is like a yoke!
My main aim is to do my masters abroad and possibly retire as a part time Lecturer cox I love to teach, though am an entrepreneur!

Epp me!!! Super mods, I really need this help, its taking my sleep away!
Thanks again!!!

The thread you sent also belongs to you. Did you intend saying you helped your friend convert HND to BSC or?
That was a mistake. Yes! I helped a friend convert his HND to B.Sc. Anyways, That is what I do for people in this regard. Thanks for your understanding.

Best wishes.

There is limit to what I can do outside Lagos State. Getting eye foundations, you can search for online and send a synopsis of what the project is all about and the things needed from them. Let your planning start now and I bet you, is indeed cumbersome to doing humanitarian/community work and social services.

Good luck sir.

Indigeneous or local NGOs don't pay well, except you want to volunteer. Anyways, I will keep you posted.

You have got a very good project at hand. Where will you be doing the Free Eye Screening Test? Who are your targeted beneficiaries? Who are the facilitators and organisations involved for the project?

Simply write out and map out your plans for the project and involve the right persons and keep me posted. God will make the project a successful one.

CareerRe: I Want To Be A Lecturer But Have Only HND, Advise Me by Timossa(m): 8:22pm On Dec 18, 2016
Yes! CIPM is good but their curriculum is outdated. The HR world has moved from Personnel Management to Human Resource and now its Human Capital. The only relevant thing about CIPM is that its Chartered.

But you can go ahead and become a Chartered Personnel Manager and not a Chartered Human Resource Manger or Chatered Human Capital Manager or Practitioner.

Hope this information prove useful?

Goodluck.

African101:
Thanks. Do you have any idea about CIPM.
CareerRe: I Want To Be A Lecturer But Have Only HND, Advise Me by Timossa(m): 6:30pm On Dec 18, 2016
You can easily practice Human Resource Management with your business if you have people working for you. HRM is very vast, without organization, people and resources, you cannot practice HRM.

You may have to locate organizations or get a job where you can function in the HR Dept. HR needs practice and that is where you get most of your experience from.

Most HR positions requires a lot or some working experiences. But you can include your ''Self Employment'' work history on your CV so that it can look attractive.

Hope my suggestions prove useful?

Good luck sir.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Returnee Graduates Struggle As Employers Snub Foreign Degrees by Timossa(m): 2:26pm On Dec 18, 2016
Yes! You are right. Learning a foreign language is very crucial. Anyways, I can teach you Spanish in case you want to learn and don't hesitate to contact me via my signature, my email is there.

Best regards.

djlaqua91:
This is simple. NEVER GO TO UK FOR MSC OR PHD. It's overrated!

Better go to USA, CANADA, GERMANY, SCANDINAVIA etc. where you can be retained after studying. UK will collect your heavy money and chase you out after a year or 18 months. Go to where you can stay at least 2 years and progress.

Also learn skills and foreign languages if you want to be retained overseas.

Informative thread. For the fact that my first degree is not from Nigeria and I also have more than 50 certificates outside Nigeria to the ones in Nigeria. I still see every reason to become an Entrepreneur all over again.

At some points, I was submitting CVs to different places and countries, got a job in Republic of Benin few months ago, the management was not able to pay for a month salary, then I came back to my country. By 2017, I want to go into fashion designing despite the fact that I can paint houses and buildings.

Both males and females are open to learning a handiwork, its very germane. I can never marry a lady who does not have a handiwork or plenty of it but solely relies on her paper qualifications. Who does that this day?

It's hightime we started building up our entrepreneurial skills and enterprise spirit to succeed in Nigeria and beyond. Our unborn children should be taught and exposed to vocational skills, business acquisition, making giant leaders out of them and business tycoons.

I want us to embrace hard work, skill-sets, leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and vocational thirst for skills and acquisition.

Thank you all.

5 Things You Need to Do Before Christmas

As we all know that this festive period is not smiling at anyone at all, it seems people are no more living in our surroundings and every market looks as if customers are not patronizing them... My observations though.

Please, do the following five things before Christmas:

1) Give out something that you still cherish to people or someone you know doesn't have one.
2) Reconcile with your friends, people that have offended you and people you have offended
3) Save some money to be spent on your parents this festive period, appreciate your parents.
4) Write down your new year (2017) resolutions. I think most people do this.
5) Make your house and surroundings look so good and decorative.

Thank you and if you can do all those things above, you will soon find joy and peace of mind in your life today.

Merry Christmas in advance.
