There is limit to what I can do outside Lagos State. Getting eye foundations, you can search for online and send a synopsis of what the project is all about and the things needed from them. Let your planning start now and I bet you, is indeed cumbersome to doing humanitarian/community work and social services. Good luck sir. |
tholarrr:Hi Tola, I will let you know if anything comes up here and you can also search online for recent NGO jobs. Indigeneous or local NGOs don't pay well, except you want to volunteer. Anyways, I will keep you posted. Best wishes. |

Yes! CIPM is good but their curriculum is outdated. The HR world has moved from Personnel Management to Human Resource and now its Human Capital. The only relevant thing about CIPM is that its Chartered. But you can go ahead and become a Chartered Personnel Manager and not a Chartered Human Resource Manger or Chatered Human Capital Manager or Practitioner. Hope this information prove useful? Goodluck. African101: |
You can easily practice Human Resource Management with your business if you have people working for you. HRM is very vast, without organization, people and resources, you cannot practice HRM. You may have to locate organizations or get a job where you can function in the HR Dept. HR needs practice and that is where you get most of your experience from. Most HR positions requires a lot or some working experiences. But you can include your ''Self Employment'' work history on your CV so that it can look attractive. Hope my suggestions prove useful? Good luck sir. African101: |

Informative thread. For the fact that my first degree is not from Nigeria and I also have more than 50 certificates outside Nigeria to the ones in Nigeria. I still see every reason to become an Entrepreneur all over again. At some points, I was submitting CVs to different places and countries, got a job in Republic of Benin few months ago, the management was not able to pay for a month salary, then I came back to my country. By 2017, I want to go into fashion designing despite the fact that I can paint houses and buildings. Both males and females are open to learning a handiwork, its very germane. I can never marry a lady who does not have a handiwork or plenty of it but solely relies on her paper qualifications. Who does that this day? It's hightime we started building up our entrepreneurial skills and enterprise spirit to succeed in Nigeria and beyond. Our unborn children should be taught and exposed to vocational skills, business acquisition, making giant leaders out of them and business tycoons. I want us to embrace hard work, skill-sets, leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and vocational thirst for skills and acquisition. Thank you all. |
5 Things You Need to Do Before Christmas As we all know that this festive period is not smiling at anyone at all, it seems people are no more living in our surroundings and every market looks as if customers are not patronizing them... My observations though. Please, do the following five things before Christmas: 1) Give out something that you still cherish to people or someone you know doesn't have one. 2) Reconcile with your friends, people that have offended you and people you have offended 3) Save some money to be spent on your parents this festive period, appreciate your parents. 4) Write down your new year (2017) resolutions. I think most people do this. 5) Make your house and surroundings look so good and decorative. Thank you and if you can do all those things above, you will soon find joy and peace of mind in your life today. Merry Christmas in advance. |
