Informed sources from the Niger Delta claim that former militant commander, Government Ekpemupolo, better known as Tompolo has ordered his boys to blow up more pipelines and plunge the nation into oil crisis if soldiers who have invaded Gbaramutu Kingdom in search of him, and ransacking the whole creeks, are not withdrawn.

The High Court sitting in Lagos had in January sought for the arrest over charges of corruption in excess of N30 Billion levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Tompolo, fearing humiliating arrest and detention had defied the court summons. The same court this week permitted the anti-graft agency to confiscate his assets.


This writer alluded in an earlier piece titled ‘War in the Creeks as Buhari, Tompolo Alliance Crumbles’ that “Tompolo had boasted to groups of people two months before the renewed Biafra protests of November 2015, why he cannot support Kanu when a big masquerade called Buhari had already begged him to pipe low. At that time Kanu was still posting his hate messages from London, Therefore, before that Biafran struggle too off, many ingredients were already compromised, including Tompolo factor”. I also explained in the piece that “militant leader Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo took his luck too far. Tompolo equated his alliance with Buhari to mean that he has the license from the Muslim North to do as he likes. Tompolo started harassing every political opponent who fails to worship Him, his views and his God. He arrogated to himself the status of a Niger Delta Godfather, and this did not go down well with some sources within the ruling party”.

This alliance crumbled because Tompolo failed to remove his hand from the Bayelsa Gubernatorial elections, and bent on supporting Dickson. The duo of ex-governor Rotimi Amechi and Timipre Sylva decided that the Tompolo factor in Niger Delta politics will have to end. EFCC which had opened a case file onhim since August last year, suddenly renewed efforts to capture him, especially after the ruling APC lost the Bayelsa elections. Human rights lawyer, Festus Keyamo, sworn enemy of Tompolo, who is also EFCC counsel, is laughing last.

The blown pipelines in Warri and Port Harcourt were largely attributed to him, though he has vehemently denied. Information at my modest disposal shows that he knows something about the blown pipelines. His boys did the job, but probably out of overzealousness, not on instructions from him.

The issue of Tompolo has divided Niger Delta Militants. Ramsey Mukoro, a prominent militant leader warning on Tompolo issue described it as witch-hunt. According to Mukoro” none of us is happy with what is happening to Tompolo and other Ijaw people who served under Jonathan, it is a tribal witch-hunt” Iwere Peace Movement, a group advocating for Ijaw Nation and through Mr. Merie Oritsejolomi and Johnbull Deghele Omadeli warned against the Tompolo crisis. According to the group “We see the EFCC charges against Tompolo as a plot to arrest him and keep him in detention like the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mr Nnamdi Kanu and the former National Security Adviser,NSA, Sambo Dasuki and murder him in detention”.

Acute Forex shortage is not due to crude oil prices like Buhari and his minions will want us believe.

The biggest cause is the massive capital flight that followed Buhari's lack of economic direction. Nigerians are not aware that investor funds contribute over 60% of our forex supply.

Buhari's cluelessness and dumb attitude towards economy made investors pull their funds out. He further placed monetary policies that caused panic in the investor environment. The plan to fund the national budget with MTN fine was the final nail on investors funds.

Buhari is solely responsible for the very poor state of the economy.

All they do is praise criminals so long they perceive them to be fighting the present administration. These same youths will be seen on another thread complaining of why the seaports in the SS region are not patronized.

How can they be patronized when you lots keep encouraging the breeding of terrorist, militants, crooks and pirates that turn around to make life difficult for the region thereby chasing away investors and shippers from docking at the region's seaports?

A lot of Nigerians are beginning to understand that GEJ/PDP was not the problem of Nigeria and Buhari/APC is not the solution.

Buhari's govt made so much noise about presenting 'zero budget.' He also took 6 months of his time to select his 'angels' - people he feels that can perform wonders with him.

Their first outing as a team was to present a budget. They made history by being the first govt to investigate their own budget instead of defend it.

In all this distraction and clueless-ness, Buhari claims ignorance. He claims not to know what he read on the floor of Senate. He blames the 'Budget mafia', GEJ and everyone but himself. The same way he's going to blame someone else for the nonsense contracts he has been signing as he shuttles around the world.
That is his antic - blaming others for his mess.

In 1970s he claimed not to know how $2.1 billion disappeared from NNPC account and was found in Midland bank, London.

In 1984, he claimed not to know about the coup that ousted Shagari. He lied he was invited to lead Nigeria after the coup succeeded, whereas he was one of the leaders of the coup, just as he was also part of the coup that ousted Gowon and the counter-coup that killed Ironsi.

In 1998, he claimed not to know how N25 billion disappeared from PTF account which he headed. He blamed everybody but himself.

In 2015, he feigned ignorance about the location of his landed property in Rivers State.

In 2016, he is feigning ignorance about how N1 trillion was padded in the budget.

That is how he'll be feigning ignorance and blame his way to 2019. Nigeria was designed by the British to fail, otherwise a man like Buhari shouldn't be anywhere near Aso Rock. He should be a mere visitor, not occupant.
