Mcslize: Dentistry is more tasking and bulky than Medicine.
And a little correction to one of ur statements that 20 BDS to 100 MBBS makes BDS less competitive than MBBS is wrong cuz less numbers should be more competitive than more numbers.
BDS with lesser numbers is more competitive cuz a great number of students will be fighting for just 20 slots while same great numbers will be fighting for 100 slots of MBBS.
To u which could be more competitive from the analysis? I am not talking about slots I am talking about students..... No Department kicks students out than MBBS because dey hav enough.......... so the tension is always on d studnts to be on top of there games........ unlike BDS students dey are pampered because of thier less numbers ........ d dept cannot afford to loose too many students.... |

lomaxx: Usually I don't call people out on public forums. But I have to do this for this public show of ignorance.
Yes the Nigerian Medical system may be nothing to write home about. But in the case of this burns ,both of you are totally wrong.
I am more than 100% sure that this man died due to the compilations of his burns. Burns is a very tricky case. You who probably knows nothing about it thinks it's the cosmetic skin erosion that is the primary problem.
But you forget that at the scene of the incident this man must have probably inhaled toxic concentrations of carbon monoxide that would have started an acute respiratory system failure. This man, at the site of the incident not related to any medical intervention or the failure of it, was already predisposed to acute renal failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome, toxic pnemonitis, toxic levels of gases etc.
Finally, and most importantly, this man is at severe risk of sepsis. I'm very sure that's what killed him. With increased resistance to antimicrobials and the ineffective aseptic protocol already damaging the health system, this man is one of the least persons you would expect to survive.
Severe second degree burns, high risk of overwhelming sepsis with other concordant complications. Please give the health workers a break on this one. They're not miracle workers. on point I couldnt agree less and with the degree of burns ... if he survives it will cost a lot of money to rejuvenate him..... not withstanding the degree of scarring....... |

Yuppy..... I do agree Dentistry is very tasking... buh saying its as tasking as Medicine welll........ buh sayin it is more tasking than medicine common :oYuppy..... I do agree Dentistry is very tasking... buh saying its as tasking as Medicine welll........ buh sayin it is more tasking than medicine common I mean in My COLLEGE OF MEDICINE there are only about 20 BDs..students and 100 MBBs students..... becaz of dere less numbers dere tends to be less competition and dey get let off da hook by some grades dat if a MBBs studnt gets such grades hr or she will certainly get a ResIT..... itz not alwayz like that though.... but on d average dey ar d same thing.... offer d same courses.... write d same Examz.... Xcept for a few diffrences.. |

lexan1: if that's what you think, then good luck getting that master of English cert, that means i'm hoping to see your name on the charts since you call your self a writer of book reviews and thesis...btw, let me tell you a good book, a good book isn't one that would entertain you, our age has surpassed that level, now we are in an age of reflection, if I can't read a book and wanna change, then it's not a good book, it's just as good as every other person's story...using too much English in a time when Nigerians weren't that literate to tell a story is just like serving a good mass in Latin to Christians who only understand igbo... Thanks Bro but I hav gotten one already You can keep your wishes lexan1: if that's what you think, then good luck getting that master of English cert, that means i'm hoping to see your name on the charts since you call your self a writer of book reviews and thesis...btw, let me tell you a good book, a good book isn't one that would entertain you, our age has surpassed that level, now we are in an age of reflection, if I can't read a book and wanna change, then it's not a good book, it's just as good as every other person's story...using too much English in a time when Nigerians weren't that literate to tell a story is just like serving a good mass in Latin to Christians who only understand igbo... obodundo: the best brains in the world of literature have always praised his works. Personally, I found some of his works a bit bland. Buh there's no doubt they were fantastic works of art. Especially his plays and poems. Overrated? Definitely no! Underrated? Probably yes! Most Nigerians can't even mention 10 of his works without consulting google..... Thank Yu Brooo.... The problem is frm our education system...majority of our Students graduate without any sense literature..... personally I am a Science student *medicine to b precise* buh I was opportuned to Delve deeply into literature *when I say deeply I mean very veRy deep* The world of literature judges a literary work differently from the way a Lay man does.......We judge works based on LITERARY ELEMENTS .... I can testify many of Prof Soyinka works are very boring but this are due to the intricate.. complexities of literary elements intertwined in his works..... You need to read other books written specially to explain his works..... |

visibleguy: I read through some replies here, all I see are people thinking they are too educated by not believing the post. in my own understanding evil is everywhere, just pray you don't encounter it because if you do then you will understand it's pain. for example I use to mock a friend of mine who always complain of toothache, calling all sorts of names without knowing mine is on the way,the toothache visited me on the 24th to 30th of December. the only thing I could do is to cry like a baby seeing all the Christmas chicken without taking my own share. So your tootache was caused by a evil spirit Habii,? |

Imagine only Africans leaving in a world of HIV, Ebola, Cancer, etc. We would still be running around 'praying' and appeasing some gods while the disease continues ravaging the people.
We lack the capacity to THINK, so we explain away every circumstance as Spiritual. Hello beCSAuse some people lack d ability to think does not mean everybody is dumb So please I dont support ddddd **We** I think **They** is a better description |
