Based on your post, you seemed to have hinged all your argument that the north is holding the south back on TWO basic issues:
1) Insurgence in the NE -a.k.a. Boko Haram terrorism.
2) Biafran war instigated by northern ethno-religious violence.

If your assertions were true; pls can you explain how could have boko haram activity (that is totally confined in the north) held back progress in the south, particularly in the SE (since by all indications you are Igbo); how has it stopped your governors & LG chairmen from developing your states, held back your industries, jobs, education or even political aspirations as Nigerians?

Under Ihejirika as defence chief there was massive extrajudicial killings and maltreatment of innocent civilians to the extent that it was condemned and reported by the UNCHR which in turn prompted America & Europe to deny Nigeria access to buy their weapons to prosecute the war against Boko Haram.

It was a lie that northerners caused his sacking; this much was publicly debunked by GEJ himself.

We can also recall GEJ's diabolical mishandling and justification for failing to seriously take the fight to the insurgents, with his then unfortunate excuse that 'Boko Haram were his siblings and how could he send the Army to wipe out his family'.

Not to mention that after diversion of billions meant for the war into his failed 2nd term re-election bid (remember Dasukigate?) while busy campaigning/dancing Michael Jackson in Kano; that Boko Haram had already taken over swathes of Nigerian territory under their control and bombing the seat of his government in Abuja, including the UN building.

Therefore note, if Boko haram is truly responsible for holding back southern progress then do not forget that the said group rose to their highest peak under the negligent watch of a southerner (GEJ) and the country had to wait for a northerner (Buhari) to reverse the tide.

On your second assertion as to the cause of the war; well impartial historians will tell you differently and would say those wailing and hypocritically blaming the north instigated it with their Igbo dominated coup of 1966.
