U guys are doing a great job here, please I have a question and I'd appreciate response asap thanks.

I have received my admission letter to study in bulgaria. My question are:
My dad friend(family friend) wants to sponsor me, so I want to know if its advisable becoz my dad dosent have d finance to sponsor me.

Secondly, one of the requirements required was "ORIGINAL documentd of property of sponsor/company of sponsor"
Am really confused here, am thinking of presenting d Original with photocopies then I'd submit d photocopies and take back d Originals!!

Please I'd appreciate your reply and advice
I will be submitting my documents for visa next week.

Yes I am and still waiting to musta energy to confront the embassy.a lot of people were denied without giving reason/s for such actions apart from the time wasted from them..Bulgarian University's tuition fee isn't a small thing.

Those Portugal ppl are wicked, I can imagine the quality time they wasted from legals to visa and yet they still deny with no reason..

I'm having serious problem with this medical things, all my document is ready but the medical stuff nah the problem, the state hospital down here just dey bill the hell out of me, once they see embassy on it... Is it compuslry make them put embassy as the head line...

Its not compulsory that you address it to bulgarian embassy, na the doctor wey prepare my own just put it there.
Not to worry, you can do it when you come to abuja.

Sorry for the wrong information.
I think the health insaurance is mostly called *Travel Insurance. If so, then you will need it when u want to apply for visa.

The money for translation will be deducted from your tuition fee (my opinion)
Its good u were asked to submit in English so just do the needful and forwad ur documents.

I have been admitted @New Bulgarian University so am getting ready to apply for visa.

If you don't have the Proof of English Language, then its no big deal just inform the University that the language of instruction in you secondary school was ENGLISH.
The Medical certificate (Health Insurance) is among the needed documents when you apply for admission.

If u attended 2 secondary school before u wrote ur ssce, it is important you provide your JSSE(junior waec) aswell.

Aspa ure going for undergraduate, u will need,
SSCE(waec or neco) Medical certificate, Eligibility letter. On your own u can add ur secondary school transcript and any english certificate(if any) like teofl,ielts.
UniSofia is very competetive so you need every qualified document to help you standout.
Check the university website to get more up-to-date information.

Just be patient, try calling them earlier coz I heard they(bulgaria) are 3hours ahead of us(nigeria).

Every information that you need about studying in bulgaria(sofia university) is on these thread so I'd advice you read the thread over to find necessary informatio. Call unisofia or mail them aswell to get up to date information.

Tell them you want to use it to school abroad also take the print out of mine and show to them for better understanding.

NO, secondary school transcript does not apply to Msater's and Post Graduate studies but Undergraduate(bachelor).

Bros if u don find school for bulgaria, check their website for comprehensive list of documents that you need and stop asking someone to tell you what u need becoz if u get wrong information, OYO.

The school will tell you when to pay tuition.




Don't be scared coz the school will give you enough time like 2months and some days from the day you were admitted.

One of the requirements for travellers to the Republic of Bulgaria

"Travel Insurance Certificate issued by an EU-recognised Insurance company for a cover of not less tham 30 000 euro if needed for repatriation, emergency medical case or emergency medical treatment during the period of stay in Bulgaria - must be presented before issuing the visa"

My questions are:
I) Do I need to buy the travel insurance and present it together with the rest documents OR
Ii) I should just chill and buy the travel insurance when my visa is out?

I need your candid advice friends.

Ok, I think they meant Notarisation.
You can notarise the photocopy of the first page (contains your data) of your international passport.
I advice you mail or call the university to get more clerification.

You can still make it if you can process you documents asap.
Search for a university of ur choice with your choice of study and know their requirements and *start your processing*

NO. You can't legalise your documents in those ministries @lagos, it can *ONLY be done in Abuja.


It won't cost you anything different apart from the money you will pay @MOE to legalise your educational documents and money to legalise @MOFA aswell.
Your passport and bank statement don't need ANY form of legalisation..

Explain to them what happend to your original certificate.

Legals @mofa can be done in two ways:
Normal procedure(3h per documents) 5working days. &
Express (1k per document) you get it that day.

The Transcript is something that can be put in order lesdan 24hours.
