Ibrahim said that the move by the NYSC will hopefully deter tertiary institutions in the country. He said unqualified graduates should not be enrolled in the forthcoming Batch B mobilisation in June, 2019, The Cable reports. The NYSC boss said: “Corps-producing institutions are warned not to enrol unqualified graduates into the mobilisation process of the scheme. I advise all of you, participants, not to fall into the temptation of unscrupulous elements that may want to truncate the mobilisation process. “The NYSC will blacklist any corps-producing institution that is involved in fraudulent mobilisation of unqualified graduates in order to serve as a deterrent to others. As leaders, do the right thing. Let us maintain good integrity and check your data correctly.” He revealed that online registration for the Batch ‘B’ prospective corps members is scheduled to begin on Saturday, June 1, and end on Wednesday, June 12. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, arraigned two suspected Internet fraudsters, otherwise known as Yahoo at a Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin. They were caught with charms during the arrest. The suspects, Johnson Okuselu and Akande Saheed, were arraigned on two separate charges before Justice Sikiru Oyinloye. One of the charges reads: “That you, Johnson Opeyemi Okuselu (a.k.a Blessed Saviour) sometime in April 2019, or thereabout at Ilorin, Kwara State within the jurisdiction of this honourable court attempted to commit an offence by pretending to be one Blessed Saviour, representing yourself to be a white woman who is capable of providing job in the United States of America to one Omni Guzman as contained in your email conversation done through your Gmail account, contrary to Section 95 and 321 of the Penal Code and punishable under Section 322 of the same law.” They both pleaded “guilty” to the charges. Counsel for the EFCC, A.A. Adebayo, told the Court that the defendants had entered into a plea bargain agreement with the commission. He, thus, asked the court to give a date for the prosecution to call its star witness in order to review the facts of the case. President Muhammadu Buhari and 29 state governors-elect who emerged winners from the 2019 general elections will today, Wednesday, May 29, take their oath of office. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared President Buhari the winner of the 2019 presidential election. According to the electoral body, Buhari polled 15,191,847 votes to defeat his closest rival Atiku Abubakar of the PDP who polled 11,262,978 to lose the election with a margin of 3,928,869 votes. Though Atiku who claimed he scored 18,356,732 votes to defeat Buhari whom he claimed scored 16,741,430 votes is challenging the election at the presidential election tribunal, the tribunal has dismissed the suit seeking to stop the inauguration of President Buhari. The suit was filed by Hope Democratic Party (HDP) and Ambrose Oworu, its presidential candidate. However, today's inauguration for a second term is expected be a low-key affair, according to the minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed. Numerous national and world leaders may not be present at the inauguration. A 20-year-old Isa Najeeb was caught by the Kaduna State police force after he killed his brother over N30,000. According to the Commissioner of Police, Najeeb heard his father sending his younger brother out with N30,000. He planned with his friends to rob his brother, after stealing the money from the boy, they took him to the river and drowned him. Although, in an interview, Najeeb said “But we didn’t kill him because of the money. We normally go to the river to swim and playfully drown ourselves.
