Outright disrespect and that wasn't your first time. I just overlooked it. I hope you change cuz its not a nice attitude. All the same I wish you all the best. I hope u get good news in the new week. |

invincible2006: Hello all,
Please which bank's master card can I conveniently used in Canada? Which way do u think is better to carry my cash at the point of entry? Cash or in my account and show them my Master card? If cash in what currency? Thanks. I've heard GTB is good. Its best to take your card, and alittle cash, like a 100/200 dols incase you wne buy something at your stop over plus cab fare and few other stuff. Its not wise to carry too much cash as you might not be able to get to a bank ontime. |

Hi Oyin18
I can't mention a particular figure, just make sure there's enough to take care of your expenses for one year, tuition+ living expenses.
Are you asking for yourself or for your sponsor? The least you can submit is 4months |

Gods1son: I did my medical test on Tuesday nd they said it will take 48hrs for the result to be out nd sent to the embassy. I called and the hospital said it was sent to the embassy on Thursday morning. I haven't gotten any mail yet, is this normal? It's paper route tho Since its paper route you're on track.. Next mail should be the dispatch mail.. Then you go pick up with ur trv in it. Since the hosp said 48hrs, its quite fast then. Its good for we mainlanders |

omooba2015: @tuola Thanks for putting lights to this issues, my second application my sponsor just put 6m to his account, and he printed out the His SOA for me than. And he immediately withdraw the money. I don't want to fall in the same issue again. It is even a red flag if your sponsor just dumps a lump sum, without a reason or proof.. Just take ur time before reapplying, and make sure ur sponsors account is okay. |

Crich: Hmmm! This is VERY strange. If u heard from d horses mouth, then it should be true. I spoke from my years of experience as a bank ex-staff. Maybe i was wrong. There's been lots of arguements about this particular topic in previous threads, and according to experts, they don't actually ask for people's acct balance, they only do verification of the statement, that's if atall they call the bank cuz they don't do it in all cases, and this is how they say its done, * did so so transcation take place, in this account on so so date? * and the bank gives a Yes or No answer. Not that they outrightly ask for your account balance from the bank. I believe they will request for a new statement of acct if they want to know. @omooba2015 I hope this helps u rest. |

omooba2015: @crich, Do you have someone in thread that get TRV, without the bank confirm the available balance in the account. because, I want to my bank headquarter,I asked those guys, and they told me embassy do called them, and they disclose the available balance as at that date to them. I m now wondering why you said, they can't assess to someone account for verification. You shouldn't be bothered about that tho, as long as your statement is legit. |

richcasey: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-changes.asp
read changing institution or program. I made a mistake though. He just has to notify immigratiom through my CIC.
Here's part of the rule
Changing institution at the post-secondary level
If you applied for a study permit to attend a post-secondary institution after June 1, 2014, you must notify Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) via your MyCIC account every time you change institutions. You are not required to apply for a new study permit when changing institutions that are at the same level of study (e.g., from a college to a university).
For example, you must notify CIC if you submit a letter of acceptance from the University of Ottawa when you apply for your study permit but then transfer to Carleton University once you arrive in Canada. Yes notify them not reapply like you stated. Moreover a few people simply changed their instituitions on their mycic page. I don't know it was done but it was done. |

I do think we can share sops, infact sops have been shared on this thread since like forever. The only thing is you only share after you've gotten your trv and you take out personal information. But then you can't force someone to share their sop, its a voluntary thing. |

richcasey: bros the new rule since June 2014 says if you decide to change school when you get to Canada, you'd have to re apply (I think) for a study visa inside Canada. Where did u read that one? Please read the rules again |
