@Tnuola..I can only speak of my sch cos I have done extensive research..For eg, u can have 1-2 hours of lecture in a whole day..Max u can have is 4hrs..which is very rare, maybe once a week or in 2 weeks..There are some days u are free..So tell me why a PG student won't work?So if u work for another 4hrs a day and leave the remainder hours for course work and all, is it bad?

My dear if you like have just 1hour of lectures. As long as school is in session, you are only allowed to work 20hrs/week.

I said I won't advice anyone to go to canada with the aim of working and schooling cuz it is one of the hardest things to do, as you have limited time, 20hrs/perweek.
I never said its impossible, all I'm saying is, don't make pple think its easy cuz its not.

And also learn to engage in healthy arguements without the name calling..

Its not fair how? Its abit difficult doesn't mean it is impossible.Pple have talked abt how they paid their full tuition by working, so what will you say to somebody who has half of it? Nigerians are resilient. Each one according to what he believes..I won't just write him off cos he doesn't have the remaining balance. His white age-mates don't have a dime and yet they school. He asked a sincere question and I gave him a sincere answer. It is up to him to make the decision.

Its not fair cuz ure making it seem like the school fees is 10,000 naira, and working a few hours will make up for the fees. The few pple that paid their fees, pls you need to have a one on one talk with them to know what they went through.
Paying fees isn't easy, it is very very hard but not impossible.

He is a postgraduate scholar tinuola..It is very achievable..Not everyone would have their complete tuition before they can enrol in school. The school system their don't even encourage you to pay all ur tuition at a single time. And yes for postgraduate scholars you can work at ur pace. For eg for University of Waterloo, u can decide to finish ur 2yr masters in a year.So it depends on how flexible the school system is....

I would never agree or advice anyone who doesn't have their complete tuition for the duration of their studies to travel, with the hope of working to make up for it, inside assignments, course work and projects, where's the time to work, one can't even work more than 20hrs/week. He go chop and still pay bills, uni of waterloo is prolly over 15k/year. So I dnt know how he will work and schl and still finish a 2year prog in 1year.

I just think Its not fair to make pple think its easy to make money while u school, esp enough money to pay tuition.

You have to show atleast #5m for ur financial standing to be right. I believe u can do that via getting a sponsorsor to show a minimum of that sum..If #1.5m is what u will end up having when u get down to canny, then u av to work alongside schooling and u cud school at ur pace usually 1-2 years for masters. I believe with hardwork, u can get the remainder..

Thanks tnuola buh I was wondering of d possiblity of getting a Visa for a Diploma program. Although I av a 1st degree and in a different field from the one I want to delve into.

Why a diploma then?
Its left to you to convince the vo in every way you can on why you want to do it

For clarity sakes, the Post Graduate Work permit can only be applied for once..

So if you apply for a one year prog and apply for the PGWP you can't apply after taking another programme.

So if PR is your aim, take ur two 2year programs or a straight two year prog before applying for PGWP.

Just thought to post this, cuz I think a couple of people aren't informed about this.
