Hi! You're looking at the right option because, as of this January 2026, the PGP (Permanent Residence) path is paused for new intakes. The Super Visa is your best bet for a long-term stay (up to 5 years at a time).
A few things to be mindful of right now:

• The Income Threshold (LICO): This is the biggest hurdle IMO. Make sure your 2025 Notice of Assessment (NOA) meets the minimum income for your total family size (including the parents you are inviting). IRCC is very strict on this right now.

• Medical Insurance: You must have a policy from a Canadian provider (minimum $100k coverage) paid in full for at least one year. Tip: Look for policies that offer monthly payment plans or full refunds just in case of story that touch (visa denied), it saves you from locking up a few thousand dollars upfront.

• The 'Home Ties' Clause: Even though it’s a Super Visa, you sha still have to prove they intend to leave. Include evidence of their properties, pension, or family commitments back home.

It doesn't apply to you because in all the earth God made your case special or IRCC will apply a different rule for you.

At last the outcome will either be Approved or Refused. Not accepting this is what breaks people's heart and make them feel suicidal when they get a decision. We spiritualize everything in this country as if those refused are not children of God or don't pray enough.

Where it asked if your spouse have recently graduated from a postsecondary institution in Canada. Since your spouse have pgwp, it means he or she has graduated. And should select yes.

If you are still studying, you would have selected the study permit to be Yes as well but not applicable since you don't study anymore.

Also, to achieve that feat within that time frame, you must learn French and practice as if your life depends on it. As for my recommendation, you can contact AF and Tobidam and choose whichever fits your plan.

I’m currently doing my pgd in Canada and will be done by December and I want to enter the poll for FSW immediately with my spouse who is in Nigeria.
With he’s education my score is 478.
Please is there a degree certification that’s available for engineering that he can take to boast our score?
Also for POF do I need to show a bank statement even after having a fixed deposit certificate?
I’d also appreciate if I can have a custom list of document that I should have on ground as well as how to improve our score.

You have to inform IRCC though, your approval wont be tampered with..

They will just add the new information to your case file for reference purpose in the future..

In summary, you'll be fine. Explain the reasons for this change and update IRCC

My study permit have been approved and I'm meant to go by april but my school just changed my course to another one.
Should I notify IRCC of this change and will it have any consequences, or wait till I arrive?
Because iv been given another LOA.
