diesel, no error code, I will start diagnosis from the fuel pump and tank, I am guessing cleaning and removing the dirt will go a long way in ruling that out.

next would be the injectors, they are very sensitive could be clogged ultrasonic bath should pinpoint the failed ones here. Also check the filter.

next is air, if the driver had allowed diesel to finish while in motion serious bleeding is needed cause the engine won't start or will just be sputtering. you can also go for compression test.

if my diagnosis can't be carried out by your technician, you should contact those I cc they are good in their field.
