Manchelsea, I am not a doctor, but why should a chemist be operating on you? You should go to the hospital for a proper diagnosis, so that you can begin treatment in earnest. It is well with you. |
jennyfar: Very wrong info, I had a 2.2, so did my friend we got into University for masters. It all depends on individual applications and the schools you apply to. Though I wouldn't advice one who had a 2.2 to put all eggs in one basket, you can apply to colleges that one is almost guaranteed.Hey Jennyfar, Apart from the CGPA you graduated with, the last two years of your education is what typically counts. If your last 2 years were sound and the first 2 were sh*tty, they tend to disregard those and focus on the last two years. That's what I've noticed. |
Morning house. Wishing you all a blessed week. |
@ hopeyemmy. No, I'm not yet around, other plans are popping up.I'll see what happens. I already downloaded the soft copies from the ICAN website, though I don't think all the subjects were available. As regards the tuition centre, I am thinking of Wyse (any other one I need to know?), saw their website, I'll call them if and when I arrive. By the way, is IFRS the only standard being used now. If not, I'm hoping the standards are not that different from the ones I learnt. Thanks |
Do we really need a revolution before a change happens? I used to be in support of the revolution talks, but considering all that's happening in the middle east, innocent lives are just being lost. My 1 kobo! |
hopeyemmy: Visit career section, there are about three ICAN discussion threads there. Peeps there share a lot of useful materials. Thanks Hopeyemmy, I've already bookmarked those threads. Also, I would definitely appreciate the recommendations. Thanks again. |
Hello house, This question is for those that gained admission to schools in Quebec, do you already speak French, if not, how did you show your French proficiency? Or is it not required? Thanks |
The birth was not in Toronto, it was in a different city still in Ontario though. We have few ob/gyn in my church, so I think people coming to give birth here just register with them. You could check if there are any Nigerian ob/gyn in T.O willing to take on new patients. Regarding the cost, it would depend on the method of delivery and how many days you spend. You typically spend 2 nights after delivery, but it might last longer if there are any complications. I could make some research on the specific costs. For the hospital, it is usually the hospital that your ob/gyn practices. Hope I have been of help. |
ruffneck: So when is camp proper??Same here too. I also hope to write the exam, but I recollect hopeyemmy saying that we would be given permission for a few days to go write our exams and then return to camp. Happened to those writing bar exams, he said. By the way, what level are you writing (I should sit for P.E 1), and have you started preparations? |
My apologies. |
Hey house, As regards giving birth in Canada, it is true that any child born on Canadian soil gets automatic citizenship. However, I beg to disagree with Justwise that the child gets automatic health card too. Health card is given only if either parent has one. Regarding when to 'enter', I know someone that came in less than 3 weeks before she had her baby. I'm not sure of the official date. Thanks |
Greetings to the house, Does anyone know how soon we should expect the mobilization time-table? Thanks |
AnneMarie4: Yea but the certificates are conferred on convocation day, and i need that to register for nysc + i also need to attend my convocationThis was the reason why I missed out of batch B. My convocation was just 2 days after the deadline for registration, so now, I have to wait for a couple of months now to serve. |
Thanks Hopeyemmy and Ogbechi. I really appreciate your response. Hopefully, I would be posted close to my state of residence, so that I won't have to go through the hassles of travelling to write the exam. By the way, I'm a she. |
Hello house, please I have a quick question for the accountants in the house I hope be going for NYSC in November, and I also intend to write the Nov'13 diet of ICAN. What happens if camp is during the exam, would I be given permission to return home to write my exams. Or, better still, does anyone know the dates of either the camp dates or the Nov'13 diet exam to better help me plan? Finally, does anyone know about the CISA exam, I kinda need more info on that too, if available. Thanks |
Seems like I'm coming home to serve...I'm so excited. Are there preferences for foreign-trained students? Anyways, I don't care about posting, as long as it's not a BH-infested place, I'm so happy for the opportunity to serve my country. Can't wait for October/November to come quick. By the way, I welcome myself to this house. |
harrisconsult1: Janet and John Children School(Gbagada Lagos)wow, Harrisconsult, we grew up in the same hood and now live in the same city, how come we havn't met yet |
Hello Doctor, I have been experiencing chest pain for a couple of weeks now and at the advice of my doctor, I went to emergency. There, they ran an ECG and chest x-ray on me and found nothing wrong. I'm still experiencing the pains and wondering what can be wrong. Thanks |
It depends on what you call home. If I live in a different city or country from family work or school, I would go home to my family for Christmas instead of spending it alone. If and when I now go to my family and we can now decide to go spend Christmas together in our village or hometown (I'm assuming that's what you mean by home). |
elodie: :oTry BBM voice chat. The very best. Just upgrage. It works with WIFI. Talk talk.I know right, it's awesome. Tried it with my friend and enjoyed every bit of it. Only if they can give us Facetime just like Apple, now, that would be super cool. |
