R KELLY is still being booked for concerts in the wake of Lifetime's docuseries -- but don't go looking for him onstage in the U.S. of A. ... 'cause, as of now, they're only lining up for him in Germany. Kelly is scheduled to perform in Ludwigsburg this coming April. Tickets are currently going for $115 and up, as of this post. He's even offering a meet and greet -- yes, even now -- which will cost fans about $355, if they're so inclined. Sources close to Kelly tell us the singer also just locked down shows in Hamburg and Oberhausen. What's interesting about those dates is ... they were sealed in the last few days, AFTER "Surviving R. Kelly" aired. A rep for the venue in Ludwigsburg tells our source ... the promoter is fully aware of what's happening with Kelly in the States, and is monitoring to see how things unfold. The rep says, "You can be assured that we are carefully following the situation and, if necessary, will act accordingly." The rep's clearly referring to the open investigation in Fulton County, GA and any potential criminal cases in Illinois. Remember, Kelly's American concerts were getting canceled left and right back in 2017 when BuzzFeed first posted a bombshell report about the alleged sex cult. The airing of 'Surviving' has turned up the heat and spiked public outrage against Kelly. Jeff Bezos has announced he and his wife are divorcing … and a record $137 BILLION is on the line. Bezos said on Twitter that — after what he called a trial separation — he and his wife, MacKenzie, have now decided to end their 25-year marriage. Bezos, who is 54, made it clear the divorce is amicable, saying, “We feel incredibly lucky to have found each other and deeply grateful for every one of the years we have been married to each other.” And, this is interesting … he clearly views the marriage as a success … “If we had known we would separate after 25 years, we would do it all again.” They met in New York when he was vice president of a hedge fund. He had actually interviewed her for a job. They married in 1993 — 6 months after they met — and they quit their Wall Street jobs and moved to Seattle where Jeff opened an online bookstore — the origin of Amazon. Just like Steve Jobs, Bezos started the bookstore in his garage. They are both super smart … they graduated from Princeton, but did not meet there … she’s 6 years younger than him. MacKenzie is a novelist, who studied under Toni Morrison and won an American Book Award in 2006 for “The Testing of Luther Albright.” She’s also the Executive Director of an anti-bullying org. called Bystander Revolution. The multi-billion dollar question … is there a prenup? They live in Washington, which is a community property state. That means any assets accrued during the marriage are split 50/50, unless, of course, there’s a prenup. There are signs there was NOT a prenup … Jeff reportedly became a millionaire in 1997. Bezos, the richest man in the world with more than a $40 billion edge over #2 Bill Gates, says, “Though the labels might be different, we remain a family, and we remain cherished friends.” Amazon is now the most valuable company on the planet … worth nearly $810 BILLION! Jeff and McKenzie announced last year they were starting a charitable fund to help homeless families and create preschools. It seems they will continue to work on their charitable projects together. In his statement, Bezos said they “see wonderful futures ahead, as parents, friends, partners in ventures and projects, and as individuals pursuing ventures and adventures.” By the way … as crazy as it sounds, Bezos took a big hit last year. His net worth was as high as $160 billion, but that dwindled to $137 billion. Jeff and McKenzie own a total of 400,000 acres of property, not only making them baronial, but 2 of the biggest landholders in the country. They have 4 children together. Foremost African philosopher Professor Sophie Oluwole has died at the age of 83, Dean of the Faculty of Art, University of Lagos (UNILAG) Prof Muyiwa Falaiye confirmed to this online newspaper that she passed on at about 8pm on Sunday after a protracted illness. Popularly known as Mamalawo, Oluwole was the first Nigerian female doctorate degree holder in philosophy and a practitioner of Yoruba philosophy. Born in Igbara-oke, Ondo State in 1936, she studied history, geography and philosophy at UNILAG and eventually settled on philosophy. Following her first degree, she was employed in UNILAG for a time as an assistant lecturer in 1972, and went on to complete her PhD in philosophy at the University of Ibadan. She taught African Philosophy at UNILAG for six years between 2002 and 2008. Oluwole’s teachings and works were generally attributed to the Yoruba school of philosophical thought, which was ingrained in the cultural and religious beliefs of the various regions of Yorubaland. According to Oluwole, this branch of philosophy predates the Western tradition, as the ancient African philosopher Orunmila predates Socrates by her estimate.
