With regards to renting Private accommodation I am not entirely sure of the additional supporting documents you can provide, however, you can, in the first instance, provide:

-Tenancy agreement
-Letter from Landlady confirming your tenancy and that it is OK for your spouse to live there and that all bills/rent will remain unchanged.
-Utility Bills (Gas, Electricity, Phone etc)
-Council Tax Statement/Bill

Council rented accommodation:
-Tenancy agreement
-Letter from tenancy manager confirming your tenancy (they might not write that it is OK for your spouse to live there, not that it is not OK, it's just something I have found a lot of them do not do- there is no law stating your spouse cannot come and live with you in your rented council property, this only has an impact if you're in receipt of any housing/council related benefits).
-Rent account statement (if you don't receive this automatically, you can request this from them)
-Council Tax Statement/Bill
-Utility Bills (Gas, Electricity, Phone etc)

There maybe more that I have left off the list, especially regarding the private accommodation but hopefully others here maybe able to assist with that!

thanks foureveryours i appreciate

There is a room size requirement. She need the borough council of her area to come and check the size of the room and they will give her certificate or letter to confirm the room meet the standard required.

As long as all the paperwork for the shared accommodation is in order and the Landlord agrees to the applicant being there. If you can prove/provide all this it shouldn't be a problem.

Let's assume you want to file in your application in December, let's count six months back.
November, October, September, August, July & June. Considering the listed months, does she earn half of the required amount? Would she have wage slips to back up? Would she have reflecting bank statements?

i thank you lexusgs for taking time out to answer me i appreciate .yes she would have earn haf of the required amount . yes she does have payslip to back it up and she have bank statement reflecting this. with this answered have we met the six month requirment? or its going to be 12 month. that is what i want to clarify 6month or 12month. considering that her income is from two sources

This question has already been answered previously, when you initially asked the question...........

see question
my wife works in the care support sector one place she earns 1,200 pound (permanent with letter of employment ) while the other place earn she earns 400 pound/month (contract) although, she can earn more if she put in extra hour in this place.

Going by provisions of the legislation, a laminated document would not be acceptable.
Going forward, what should you do? Seek alternative ways to collect copies or take a gamble........

thanks lexusgs i very much appreciate your sincere answer will seek alternative ways to collect copies thank again

Lexusgs430:

Laminated documents

This policy confirms that Laminated Documents should not be accepted in
support of a passport application (see two exceptions below).
IPS regional offices have a very small percentage of applications supported
by laminated documents. Documents that are laminated are usually birth
certificates, marriage certificates and naturalisation/registration certificates.
IPS examiners cannot be sure that the laminated documents submitted with
an application are genuine

Major concerns regarding laminated documents are that watermarks cannot
be easily distinguished, nor can the quality of the paper be felt, and with
naturalisation/registration certificate the security features such as the heat
reactive number cannot be utilised.
Laminated documents must not be accepted in support of passport
applications, unless in cases covered by the exceptions shown below.
Examiners must request unlaminated versions of the documents submitted.
If a laminated change of name deed or a laminated marriage certificate has
been produced in support of a passport application for change of name
evidence only, then examiners can accept the laminated document.

I think English test is approximately £50.00

thanks lexusgs i really appreciate so what will you advice that i do
1.present the laminated marriage certificate or get a certify true copy from registry made enquiry at ikeja registry was told that it is 20,000
2. for my other certificate B.sc how do i go about it knowing that getting another certificate in nigeria instuition can be very difficult if not imposible

please your urgent advice is needed but any knowlegde of anyone one in my shoes now

thanks in anticipation of your response

Question 1 - $925
Question 2 - Get a letter from your university, stating your course was conducted in English language, submit certificates and transcripts
Question 2(1) - NARIC - £55
Question 3 - Not best she applies after only 3 months of active employment(you need six months pay slips + bank statements, or else financial requirements would not be meet) . How much would both jobs collectively earn her in a 12 calendar month?
Question 4 - She should have a contract of employment from the agencies
NB : Do you have any kids?

thanks lexusgs430 i appreciate you kind response.
from your reply to question 3.if she met up with the financial requirement monthly with salary of 1580 pounds every month(alhough it is contract)does she have to wait for 12 month to apply or she can apply as long as she can present a 6 month financial bank statement to show financial requirement

Thank visa officer you are doing a nice job here, read through the thread so that i will not be asking the same question. My question is this
1. My wife and I our planning to go on vacation to the US by October we have been married for 6 years now(no children yet we are still trying) we both live and work in Nigeria.she has a dual citizenship she British by (birth) and Nigerian by(ancenstory),so she has both British and Nigerian passport, both passport carries her maiden. The British passport was issued last 2 years in her maiden name because it was stolen before we got married and the lawyer advice her to use her maiden name to get a new one which she did and she has since travel with it and back to Nigeria since then. Now that we plan on going together on vacation to the US on a tourist visa won't there a problem with the name since the name on her passport both Nigeria and British carries her maiden name and not her marital name i.e. my family name

2. I know as a British citizen she can apply for ESTA online. So what do you advice that she apply for ESTA online or we both apply for a tourist visa together at the embassy since we are going together

Your response will be highly appreciated

It would be safer and better to put the Ogun State since that's what's written on her cert. That is not a problem at all.

For those who want to cut cost by sending their documents to WES through NIPOST, I will say; go ahead.

Hubby and I sent our certificates through NIPOST and it got there in less than 2 weeks, from Lagos. I was pleasantly surprised.

yes i did sent my certificate also through nipost and it got there like 2weeks but i think it is not advisable to to use regular mail for delivery from wes, because the guys at nipost do take extra time to check parcel coming to nigeria dont know why but you cannot rule out the nigerian factor, thinking that somone most have hidden dollars inside the parcel so they dont want to miss out on any thing befoe delivery if not why the delay.nigerian things

Hello Friends in the house, quick clarification please. I have an original copy of my transcript, can i send it to WES for evaluation? Will they accept it since its not coming directly from the school? Has anyone done this before? Thanks

Secondly, I did an evaluation with WES and online check show that the dispatched the ECA since Sept 9th via regular mail but i have not received till now. Should it take this long even if sent to Africa through Canada post?

you have to be patient since it his regular mail and you know how it is with nigeria postal system although, its better now thats why it is advisable to do courier.
