I honestly pity all these smaller NATO countries, especially the one's close to Russia. They think America really cares about them and will be willing to defend them in the case of WW3. They don't know that they are just like human shields for America and sacrificial lambs when WW3 happens. From my little understanding of this war and war in general, it's safe to say Putin is baiting USA and NATO...

He can as well end the war tomorrow if he wishes, he's only extending it as long as possible to bait NATO into a direct involvement and give them the impression of a weak Russian army that can't even defeat Ukraine.
