Igwe OO: What a week!!! You toil up day and night, sleepless nights, draw up charts, read, study, analyse them. Riding on it, your efforts starts paying off positively, and your confidence soars, you see yourself hitting up 85% of your total equity....then b@ng!!! that mistake (over confidence), just that one, single mistake you are back to where you started before market open on Monday.#My story this week.

#Talking about World War III, I think we are already in the middle of it (Currency Wars). Every major currency wants to devalue there currency in order to boost export. Japan, seriously I pity them for coming out in the open to say this is strictly what we want to do. If they would actually achieve this feet, what happens to countries like Germany/China even USA that are also export driven? They wouldn't stay by the line and watch Japan render there export market unattractive. They'd fight back and certainly, they are now. A typical case is the Cyprus and how its currently driving Yen and other currencies in that region up. In my opinion, the Cyprus case is "scripted" by the "big heads" with the exclusion on the 'small head" of the Euro member countries to devalue Euro in other to boost export, tourism and even to gain political advantage.

#Whatever the war is, whoever is fighting, I dont care. I only want to be on the best side of the trade/trend.

#Hmmm..enough ranting by me and even, I still have positions on those crazy pairs. Oluwa abeg keep my account to the new week as I can be an aggressive trader sometimes.

I also agree that you invest in shares, it is a low risk investment with good returns though it wont meet your daily profit goal.

What I advice is that you diversify your portfolio: 80/20. 80% in shares and 20% in forex.

I trade forex and I can assure you it is great for daily profits.

You can invest 200k with 2 separate brokers for further fund diversification.

Piponomics: You are welcome. Mind, I didn't say it doesn't have value. Just said it shouldn't be factored in when calculating things like TP and SL. I completely ignore whatever the last digit is and work with the first 4. Of course the few bucks that roll in cos of the 5th digit is always welcomed at the end of the day.
You are also right about the value of the pipette changing with lot size value.
You are already using 1.0 standard Lot? Pretty cool. However, it is a ticking time bomb if your account balance is at least under $10,000.
90% of the time, people don't crash accounts cos of lack of a working system but use of lot sizes that isn't in tandem with their account balance which boils down to over leveraging.

I completely agree. I have experienced it a couple times. eventually, the trend will reverse to favour your trade position but u could have been knocked out just because of "over- lot sizing".

It is possible to make no loss in forex if one can stay within reasonable lot size that is in tandem with your account balance but the urge to make good pips value is always pushing.

I thought forex was something I could never do, I only focused on bom, all I was reading and downloading, in my mind was just for the purpose of bom. Forex trading was like an unattemptable terrain for me. but with your free indicators, I decided to try demo trading and moved to a live account within a week with just 10dollars. Amazingly, I turned 10$ to 20.2$ in one day using your indies and my gradually developing strategy. That was a thrill to me though I blew all the money the next day with poor money mgt by inceasing my leverage and my lot size foolishly. 2.THanks,my TF depends on d market but I use below 1hr since am makin use of 1hr in my MT4 but I trade like 4-10mins on high impact news and trade 1-3hrs if my indicators are showing me sell or buy signal on both 30mins,1hr and 4hr in made MT4(95% correct) any I wanna slip cox I always wake up 2 see Greens.

A thousand likes. The only problem you will face when betting with your real account is how to control your emotions. Dont change your strategy when you are through with learning, improve it a little and use only 5% of your account on each trade.

I perfectly understand the feeling and I quite agree with u. It's like so many strategies are churned out but for us d newbies, they look complicated, incomprehensible and sometimes drive u nuts trying to crack up how to use what.

Like Sunwalk said, which strategies have u settled for, I've settled for babypips.com. I've decided not to bother myself trying to use any of the strategies I c here until I'm thru with babypips.com, maybe then, I'll be able to make sense and green out of all what I get here.

This is a great forum, rich with info, I guess we shld just be patient and learn d ropes. But seriously, it's not funny! Sometimes I feel like crying.
