AaronOwjay: Firstly for you guys that have not received any offers just sit back and wait. This is certified from the HR today during the induction so pay attention.
For those that were included for this batch we are about 40 in total.
24 of us are in the Nov 7th induction and the rest are in for the 15 of Nov induction so those ones have not resumed yet..
Now here is the thing, the HR said there is another Batch that are to start in December or January after they are done with this batch doing induction on the 7th and the 15th so as long as you have not gotten an email don't lose hope. There is probably space for another 40 people if they number will be the same with this one.
No vex for the HR. They are about 4 in the unit in charge of over 500 staff and they are monitoring a lot of things with software at the moment and they have been working till 9pm daily to even meet up with a lot of the work on ground.
Sit tight and keep your hopes up. They were employing a lot of people for Assurance (Audit) but not that many for Advisory. I applied for Advisory and there was just one more person accepted in my induction group. The rest were split within Audit, Tax and Transaction Advisory Services.
For those that are curious about the salary it is 3M per year. That is your pay before taxes, Health Insurance and Pension, and inclusive of other performance bonuses. So be looking at around 160k or so per month.
You get a brand new laptop and phone and some other perks but that is as much as I know.
Hope this is helpful. Wow...thanks a lot bro...God bless you! |

AaronOwjay: Well how will you resume if there is no laptop for you to work with? That is all I can think about concerning that.
I am sure there are other things that have a bigger role in delaying the recruitment, and obviously not all of it will be public knowledge.
All we can do is keep applying to other places if possible and then eventually if EY comes it comes. I have the feeling some people might have gotten job offers from other companies while the wait has been going on lol. Aiit...thanks bro.. |

AaronOwjay: Just got some news from someone working in EY.
Apparently they had some delays in getting the custom laptops from DELL and apparently there were other things that came up (but wasn't shared).
This was about a month ago sha so I guess these things have not been resolved yet. Sorry bro...I don't understand d Custom Dell laptops part...How does that affect the speed of the recruitment process?? |

Lool...Dino and his theatrics...
On a serious note...I don't believe out of 140 million Nigerians, it's only Buhari and Atiku we can boast of to lead us in 2019...its a pity to see young Nigerians queue behind these old men who to me have nothing to offer as regards solving national problems and bringing up sustainable policies.
I believe Nigeria deserves more than "Sai Baba" and "Atikulate" that we all keep blabbing about. I want us to know that we do not have to vote for only PDP and APC in the coming elections. Can't we just think outside these boxes for once!! In the 19 years that the PDP and APC ruled (not led) what have we achieved as a country? Its obvious these old men don't have what it takes to lead a nation. They are just there for what they would gain. And you still see young folks campaigning for these same set of people. Is it that we forget things easily or we are just being charmed (when election periods approach) or what??..
May the Lord deliver us as a nation! |

VULCAN: We have 774 local governments in Nigeria. To win the election means getting an average of 20,000 votes per local government.
Can Hashim even get 20,000 votes in his own local government ONLY when with advanced rigging Fayemi, a former governor and well known in his state got 12,500 votes on average per local government.
When you have a strategy on how Hashim can achieve this in 5 months time let us know?
Till then we are gearing up to vote Gen. Buhari out and put Atiku in. Lol...I guess u need to read my comment again... |

Education › Re: 2018 PTDF UK Scholarship: Check If You Have Been Shortlisted by Toluchenko(m): 6:35pm On May 21, 2018 |
DMainMan: FINAL REPORT ON PTDF OVERSEAS 2018/2019 SCHOLARSHIP
PTDF has concluded the overseas interview, candidates who were shortlisted in all categories have four chances; France, China, Germany and the UK. Whether you have received email or not from PTDF, u all still have equal chances to be selected.
The first category; France/China/Germany results are ready. But to avoid one candidate winning both categories, the names have not been published yet. All things being equal, winners in all countries will be published probably around June after the UK selection process which is currently being scrutinized.
This year will have the highest ever number of Oversea Scholarship winners thanks to the Strategic Partners who are offering a tuition-free scholarship. Selection is based on the quota system which is the government constitution. Hence, you are competing with the candidate from your states and not the general populace. So don't play the tribal card if u are not selected as tribalism as nothing to do with it. Your slot can only be awarded to your fellow state kinsmen. In addition, more slots of winners are given to Nigeria oil-producing states which is understandable.
For all winners in all categories, you will be required to sign a bond which signifies that you must come back to Nigeria after your studies. But PTDF might allow you to stay for a fixed period for work experience in your field after their approval as before work visa is granted, ur sponsor will be contacted. Overall, u will need to plan well and focus on your study and life after studies. U are also allowed to defer your scholarship within one year hence if working u can apply for ''study leave without pay'' for your job to be secured when u come back. For those who are not working yet, the degree will give u more opportunity for job not only in Nigeria but any where in the world. It will give u more chance of scholarship for the advancement of studies or for migration purpose if you don't get jobs when u come back as jobs are hard to come by.
You might be tempted when u are abroad to do abnormal things to feel among. But remember Nigeria especially your family or friends who are struggling. Better to help Nigerians rather than outsiders. Also, save money, so u can plan well and be in control in whatever choice when u come back to Nigeria for the advancement of your career. Congrats in advance to the overseas winners which will definitely be among nairalanders here as it is always. For those who wish to study in Nigeria (have applied for admission) or are currently studying in Nigeria, PTDF did not forget you. Local application will be out in June.
Good luck everyone. Bye. Current PTDF scholars are already making Nigeria proud abroad (see attached). Do better than them.
From DMainMan PTDF Scholar CEO DMainMan and Zeltney Enterprises/Consult, https://facebook.com/dmainmanfoundation/ https://dmainmanconsult.com/ Good day bro. Pls kindly elaborate on the last sentence of the first paragraph which says "WHETHER YOU HAVE RECEIVED EMAIL OR NOT FROM PTDF, U ALL STILL HAVE EQUAL CHANCES TO BE SELECTED." Does it mean those that DID NOT receive mails for INTERVIEW INVITATION can still be shortlisted?? |
